Chapter 34 - Forging Bonds and Blades

The courtyard of the Nether Dukedom was quiet, the morning sun glinting off the stone pathways as Alex approached the grand gates. Today was no social visit—every detail of his appearance spoke purpose. His black attire was sleek and functional, boots polished but practical, hair tied neatly in a man bun. Every movement was deliberate, reflecting the mission he carried.

Lord Elias, the young noble master of the Nether Dukedom, awaited him in his workshop, a spacious hall filled with half-finished blades and the faint scent of smoldering mana.

Alex bowed slightly. "Lord Elias, I come bearing this." He presented a finely crafted insignia, the connection given to him by Riven. The emblem glinted in the sunlight, a subtle token of trust and access.

Elias raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "I see. And how may I serve you, young lord?"

"I need two weapons forged," Alex began, choosing his words carefully. "Two daggers suited to fire mana, and one sword for my student, who wields air mana. All designs should be compatible with mana infusion to enhance their power. I will provide the specifications, and I trust you can handle the craftsmanship."

Lord Elias studied him for a moment, then nodded, his expression one of focused approval. "It will be done. You'll have the daggers and the sword ready a week before the Royal Hunting Competition. The weapons will be infused and attuned as per your instructions."

Alex allowed himself a small smile. "Thank you, Lord Elias. I'll return to collect them in due time."

With the arrangements settled, Alex turned to leave. On the path back to his courtyard, his thoughts wandered to Riven, the subtle giggle escaping his lips. Cupcake… deserves the world. The memory of Riven's teasing warmth brought a faint blush and a thrill of excitement. The insignia, the weapons, the careful planning—it all felt like a game of trust and strategy, one that he didn't mind being a part of.

Every step back home reinforced his resolve: these weapons would not only sharpen his and Kael's skills but also mark the beginning of a new chapter in alliances, preparation, and trust. And somewhere, far in his mind, the thought of Riven's attention lingered pleasantly, as sweet and daring as ever.
