Chapter 20 - Chapter 19: The Flames and the Blade — Roy Valvas vs. Riser Phenex

The Rating Game Arena in the Underworld was silent.A vast colosseum shimmered with the sigils of the Four Satans. Thousands of devils gathered — nobles, heirs, and servants alike — waiting to witness the impossible:

A 13-year-old devil fighting alone against Riser Phenex and his full peerage.

On the VIP balcony sat the most powerful figures in the Devil world —Sona Sitri, Serafall Leviathan, Lord and Lady Sitri, Seekvaira Agares, Andrew Agares, Latia Astaroth, Iryuka Glasya-Labolas, Rias Gremory, Venelana Bael, Sirzechs Lucifer, Zeoticus Gremory, Sairaorg Bael, Zeckram Bael, and of course, Darius and Clara Valvas, their eyes filled with quiet pride.

Roy's Resolve

Before the match, Roy had stood before his two peerages — both lined up, ready to fight for him.

"No," he said firmly, his crimson eyes calm but burning with determination. "This is my fight. He insulted my parents — that is something I must answer myself."

Scáthach stepped forward, her aura like a storm.

"Then make him regret every word, my king."

Grayfia, standing at his side, placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Win — not as a devil… but as yourself, Roy."

The Beginning of the Game

As the teleportation circle activated, Roy appeared alone in the vast, burning battlefield conjured for the Rating Game.

From the opposite side, Riser Phenex and his entire peerage — twelve devils strong — appeared in blazing phoenix fire.

Riser spread his arms arrogantly.

"You really came alone? Foolish boy! You'll regret challenging a Phenex!"

Roy stood silently, his sword still sheathed.

"Enough talk. Begin."

The announcer's voice rang out —

"Rating Game — Begin!"

The Battle: Yaksha's Fire

Riser's peerage charged all at once — phoenix flames, fireballs, and wings of flame lighting up the sky.

Roy didn't move.

Then, he whispered the words that froze the entire arena:

"All things in this world turn to ash..."

The ground cracked beneath him.The air itself trembled as Ryūjin Jakka's fire erupted around him —a sea of flames hotter than the sun, roaring like a divine storm.

"Bankai — Zanka no Tachi."

The world went silent.

Every flame in the arena vanished — consumed by the sword that burned at absolute zero heat, a blade that turned existence itself into cinders.

The sky itself shimmered as his aura flared — an Ultimate-Class Devil's pressure radiating outward like a god descending.

The One-Man Annihilation

Riser's peerage attacked from every direction — phoenix wings, fire spears, enchantments — but each vanished the instant Roy's blade moved.

One swing.A wave of nothingness — like time itself cut apart.

One by one, Riser's servants fell, unconscious, scorched, defeated without a single scream.

The arena was silent except for the sound of Roy's footsteps — calm, precise, unstoppable.

Finally, only Riser Phenex remained, his immortal flames flaring wildly.

"I am immortal! Your flames can't kill a Phenex!"

Roy's eyes glowed with a molten fury.

"Then I'll carve a scar that never heals."

He vanished — a flash step faster than sight. The next instant, his blade passed through Riser's chest, leaving behind a crimson mark of eternal flame that burned with divine intensity.

Riser screamed as the flame seared not his body — but his soul.

The match ended instantly.

"Riser Phenex is unable to continue! Winner — Roy Valvas!"

Aftermath: The Yaksha of Valvas

The arena erupted in chaos and awe.

Sona Sitri stood from her seat, eyes wide.

"He… he did it alone."

Seekvaira smiled faintly, pushing up her glasses.

"That's Roy for you. He fights like a legend reborn."

Serafall jumped up, waving her arms.

"Kyaaaa~! My little Roy-chan is amazing!!"

Rias Gremory and Akeno stared silently — half in admiration, half in disbelief.

Even Sirzechs Lucifer leaned forward, whispering softly:

"A boy with power to rival legends. Darius's blood truly runs strong."

Down below, Darius Valvas and Clara stood proud.

"He didn't just fight for himself," Clara said softly, tears in her eyes. "He fought for our name."

As Roy stood over Riser's defeated form, he sheathed his blade.

"Remember this, Riser Phenex — pride without honor is hollow. I fight not for arrogance… but for those I love."

With that, he turned and walked away, the flame-mark on Riser's chest still burning — a wound that even Phenex regeneration couldn't erase.

The Legend Spreads

Within hours, the story swept through every realm —the 13-year-old Ultimate-Class Devil who fought an entire peerage alone, wielding the flames of a god.

From that day forward, one name echoed across the Underworld, Heaven, and the Human Realm alike:

Roy Valvas, the Yaksha of Valvas — The Flame of Honor.
