Chapter 81 - Chapter 81

The evening air over the Valvas Mansion in England shimmered faintly with enchantments as Roy stepped through the gates, Rem and Ram following gracefully behind him. The faint light of dusk caught on the white marble pillars, reflecting the quiet grandeur of the estate. Inside, the warmth of conversation flowed through the grand hall—Bela White, Venelana Bael, Grayfia Lucifuge, Albedo, and Nagini sat with a new guest, Narcissa Black.

Roy paused when he entered. Narcissa stood elegantly, her pale blonde hair shining softly under the chandelier. Her expression was calm, but her eyes held the depth of countless buried emotions. Bela rose from her seat and spoke with a smile."Roy, I wish to hire someone—Narcissa Black. She's been helping me for some time at the Liyue Store. I'd like her to become my assistant."

Roy's gaze turned sharp and assessing, though his voice remained polite. "Is that so? Then let's make it official."

He gestured for her to sit across from him. The room fell quiet as he began the interview, asking measured questions—about management, customer relations, charm enchantments, and crisis control. Narcissa answered each one steadily, her voice regaining confidence long suppressed.

After a few minutes, Roy nodded in approval. "You're hired," he said simply. Bela beamed with joy, and Narcissa looked almost disbelieving for a moment before smiling genuinely—a smile not seen in years.

Dinner that night was lively. Around the long mahogany table sat Roy, Narcissa, Bela White, Rem, Ram, Venelana Bael, Grayfia Lucifuge, Albedo, and Nagini. The dishes were elegantly prepared, yet what filled the air was laughter and warmth.

But after dessert, Roy leaned back and asked quietly,

"Tell me, Narcissa Black… have you ever thought of taking revenge on the Valvas family—for Bellatrix's death?"

The table fell silent. Narcissa took a slow breath, then met his gaze.

"I would be lying if I said I never thought of it. But after my divorce… after my own son told me he didn't need me… that anger died. I forgot what revenge even meant."

Roy studied her face, then glanced toward Bela, who gave a small nod. He smiled faintly.

"Then perhaps it's time you knew the truth. Bellatrix didn't die. She's alive… sitting right in front of you."

Narcissa froze, her gaze snapping to Bela White, whose eyes softened.

"Hello, sister," Bela said quietly.

For a heartbeat, the world stopped. Then Narcissa rushed forward and embraced her sister, tears falling freely. The others watched in quiet respect. Bela held her tightly, whispering softly until Narcissa's sobs eased. When Narcissa realized what she'd done, she flushed and sat back down, dabbing her eyes.

Bela then explained everything—the experiments, the brainwashing, how Jessica Valvas had healed her mind and how Roy had forged a new identity for her as Bela White, CEO of the Liyue Store. Narcissa listened in awe. When Roy asked about Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa told them everything—his coldness, his betrayal, the divorce, and Draco's rejection.

By the time she finished, the room pulsed with restrained fury.Venelana's elegant hand trembled with anger.Grayfia's crimson eyes glowed faintly.Even Albedo muttered darkly under her breath about "a man unworthy of his bloodline."

Roy broke the tension with a teasing grin.

"At least not all Black family members are idiots."

Bela turned crimson. "ROY!" she snapped, while the others laughed, remembering the chaos of their first meeting years ago. Narcissa blinked, confused, until Roy recounted how he had first met Bela—how he'd broken her curse and survived her fiery temper. Narcissa couldn't help but laugh through her tears.

When the laughter faded, Roy stood and said,

"You'll stay here at the mansion. There's no need to return alone tonight."

Narcissa agreed, her heart lighter than it had been in years.

The next morning, Roy took her to the old Black Mansion to collect her belongings. In the grand hall hung dozens of portraits—ancient lords and ladies of House Black. As Narcissa packed, Roy chatted idly with the portraits, much to their surprise.

"Tell me," Roy said with mock seriousness, glancing at the portraits, "is Phineas Nigellus Black truly the most disliked Lord of the Black Family?"

The portraits erupted in laughter. Some said yes, others argued no, and Phineas himself flushed in outrage.

"You impudent brat! I was the most efficient headmaster Hogwarts ever had!"

Roy smirked. "Then I'm impressed, Lord Phineas. Truly."

From the staircase, Narcissa watched, laughing softly for the first time in years. The portraits—seeing her laughter—were moved. Cygnus Black, her father, nodded approvingly.

"Roy Valvas," he said solemnly from his portrait, "thank you for bringing light back into my daughter's eyes."

Roy bowed lightly. "A pleasure, Lord Cygnus."

When Narcissa returned, luggage in hand, Roy summoned Dvalin, the sky dragon. The portraits gasped as the magnificent creature lowered its head before him. Narcissa climbed onto Dvalin's back beside Roy, wind swirling around them as they rose into the air.

As they soared toward the Valvas Mansion, Narcissa looked down at the world and smiled faintly.

Maybe… meeting Roy and the others isn't so bad after all.

Back at the Black Mansion, the portraits still murmured among themselves.

"She's found someone extraordinary," one said."Indeed," Phineas Nigellus admitted with a rare smile. "That boy… might just change everything."
