After returning from the Black Mansion, Roy sent Dvalin back to the pocket dimension and took a quiet stroll through Diagon Alley. The streets were bright with floating lights and the crisp sound of laughter, and Roy found himself smiling as he picked thoughtful gifts for everyone dear to him — Hermione, Cassandra Vole, Daphne, Astoria, Cho Chang, Penelope, Bela White, Nagini, Rem, Ram, Albedo, Grayfia, Venelana, and Narcissa.
By the time he returned to the Valvas Mansion, the evening stars had begun to shimmer. Roy carefully arranged the gifts on the long oak table in his study, wrapping each one with care and tying golden ribbons before sending them through owls to his friends and loved ones.
When he stepped into the kitchen, he found Grayfia, Rem, and Ram preparing dinner. The room was filled with warmth and the soft aroma of roasted herbs. Roy walked over and gently leaned close to Grayfia, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"What is my Queen preparing today?" he teased softly.
Grayfia blushed slightly but smiled, replying in her calm, graceful voice, "Dinner for everyone — and for you, my Lord."
Roy chuckled and thanked her warmly before turning to Rem and Ram, who gave mock glares at being ignored. Laughing, Roy ruffled their hair playfully and praised their cooking.
Later, in the dining hall, Bela White and Narcissa Black were deeply engrossed in a poker game while Albedo, Venelana, and Nagini watched from the side. Roy approached with an amused smile.
"So, Bela," he said teasingly, "how much has my beautiful business genius lost today?"
Bela flushed but smirked back. "Not as much as last time, Chairman," she said, earning laughter from the others.
Dinner was lively and full of light conversation — stories from Hogwarts, new business plans, and gentle jokes that echoed through the hall. For the first time in a long while, Narcissa's laughter was natural and bright, which made even the older members of the household smile.
That night, everyone retired peacefully to their rooms. Roy stayed up late reading through a few reports and reviewing correspondence from Hogwarts and the Valvas Group before finally turning in for some rest.
The next morning, he awoke early and quietly began his day, moving through the halls of the mansion as dawn light streamed through tall windows. Before breakfast, Roy checked the gifts he had received — tokens from Hermione, Cassandra, Daphne, Penelope, Astoria, Cho Chang, his professors, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Harry, Cedric, the Weasley twins, and even from his family, the Flamel and Scamander families.
He smiled fondly at each one, grateful for the warmth that surrounded him despite the challenges of the year. After setting them carefully aside, Roy headed down to breakfast — ready for another day filled with new beginnings and quiet joy.
