8 Days later
Charles and North were jogging in the Uma road, watching as the cars passed by. The trees on the side walk gave a nice, soft shadow with faint lights shining through the gaps. Charles was jogging with faint excitement in their eyes.
"How was that race Hayate?" the blond haired uma named Charles said as he jumped onto North's back who stood his ground. The ears and tail of North slightly perked up from the sudden contact.
"It was good." he simply replied as he grabbed the arms of Charles that was wrapped around his neck before throwing him off.
Charles laughed as he landed on his feet and continued jogging, not caring that he was just thrown. "That does make sense, it was something amazing to watch after all. It even got me pumped up to race you." Charles bounced around, jogging with a bit of a jump to his steeps. His face filled with a giant grin screaming that it wanted to release an explosion of speed.
North just looked at Charles with a deadpan look, tired from his antics. "Calm down Charles." was all North said. Charles looked at him with a bored look, the smirk on his face now gone and was replaced with a frown.
"You're no fuunnnnn." Charles said with an exasperated tone, letting his voice drag off. He opened his mouth once more to speak but was interrupted by North who hit the back of his head. "OW! What the hell is your problem?!"
Rubbing the back of his head, Charles glared at North's deadpan look. "You should've at least held back a little, even if I am technically stronger, being hit suddenly does not feel good."
"...We're almost at Tracen." North said after a while, ignoring the words that came from Charles' mouth.
"...vous êtes une personne impolie(you are one rude person)…" Charles muttered under his breath, not caring that North could hear it.
"Stop muttering French words and keep up." North said as he patted Charles' shoulder, which was swatted away by Charles.
Eventually, they returned to Tracen. The gates wide open with Miss Hayakawa standing in front of it as she welcomed each of the few students that were walking in. As Charles and North jogged into the gates, she waved at them before welcoming them back.
"Goodmorning North and… Charles...how was your small training." she said as she saw them come close.
Slowing into a stop, Charles was the first to wave back before opening his mouth. "Hello Miss Hayakawa, the jog was nice. I saw this place that sold the largest ice cream I have ever seen." Charles spoke with joy in his voice, the childness of his being on full display.
"That sounds rather pleasant Mr.Charles, and what about you Mr.North." she said in a professional tone, making sure to not give too much attention to the seeker. She turned her gaze over to the tall Uma that was standing beside Charles.
"It was alright." North answered directly.
"That's good, but you should get going as classes are going to start soon." Hayakawa said, with North nodding his head in response. Charles looked like he wanted to continue talking but was slightly pushed away by North, forcing him to continue walking.
Hayakawa just looked at the 2 with a slight smile before focusing back to greeting the students that were coming.
--------
The sky that was once bright blue, was now a soft orange. The shadows of the trees that were near the track had it stretched far from its base. The sound of faint chatter could be heard under the footsteps of Umas hitting the ground in rapid succession.
Trainers and their trainees were at the tracks of the school, the Umas completing their training with fever and joy as the trainers watched to track their progress and to keep them safe from the danger of over training.
The group of North and Charles, along with North's trainer, were leaning against the rails of the tracks, watching the others train.
North was sweating slightly hard as he drank from a water bottle, the faint sound of his chugging could be heard, a sign of exhaustion. Beside him stood his trainer, Ego, who had his usual black outfit and plain glasses as he wrote on the clipboard he always had on him. The faint sound of rapid writing being the only sound coming from him. Looking at Ego writing on his clipboard was Charles who had a bored look on his face as his eyes followed the rapid written words from Ego. His blue plain shirt was only slightly soaked with sweat, the only sign that he had trained as well.
"North, you have to train on your stamina at this point. You have a lot of speed and a high burst but you quickly get tired." Ego spoke out after he finished writing on his paper.
North nodded his head in agreement, it was easy to see that he quickly got tired from his high speed, which could be dangerous if he continued going on with guts alone. The last race was an easy way to tell that he got tired from an outside perspective, while he didn't feel tired during the last spurt, his trainer told him that he was wobbling as he walked back to the resting rooms. In fact he almost fell over during the performance.
He had to take a week break before he could go back into training, in which he was upset about but understood the reasoning. He was already back to training but was under less intensity.
"If we were to put your stats into official stats identification then your speed could reach up to B with a power of C+ but your stamina is barely C if not high D+." Ego explained.
"And while it was good for where you were racing, it wouldn't fly for you to have these stats at the level you are going into." He finished.
"Than I should be training harder-"
"No Hayate, what you need to do is learn to pace yourself better." Charles cut North off. "You tend to spend large amounts of your stamina each time you do a burst, your timings of which need fixing."
North looked at him with slight anger but nodded his head.
"Don't get it wrong Hayate, I would love for you to get stronger but-" Charles faced had a giant smirk appear on it, "-it would be a lot less fun if you didn't even know how to use that strength."
North looked at Charles who had a giant smirk on his face, North turned his gaze to behind him. He couldn't tell if he was just seeing things, but North was almost certain that there was a very faint giant 'person' standing behind Charles.
North could only see it for a second before it soon disappeared along with the smirk on Charles face. There was a glint in the eyes of Charles that North couldn't decipher the meaning behind.
"Charles is right North, you need to pace yourself better." Ego spoke out, seeing the look on Charles' face.
"....Alright." North said before finishing the water bottle in his hand. He handed it over to Ego who was looking at him as he jumped over the rail to enter the track.
"He has huge potential Mr.Ego." Charles said, he watched as North got into position before launching himself forward, leaving a small dust cloud behind him.
Ego nodded his head in agreement, his left hand holding a stopwatch. The clipboard that was being held by the right was filled with numbers and percentages but the biggest thing that called out were the words, 'EGO PROJECT', something that was caught by the eyes of Charles.
"I didn't expect you to experiment with your own trainee, Mr.Ego." Charles said as he looked at the form of Norths running. "To purposely experiment on your own Trainee and mold them into something. It is surprising to see that there are people like you."
Ego glanced at Charles from the edge of his eyes, seeing Charles smiling with a large smile. An aura seemed to be around him that the other people didn't see, the orange, blue and black formed a large humanoid creature behind him that was looking down from above. The completely black eyes were piercing into Ego's body, as if to learn every detail about him.
"And don't get it wrong, I just want to see if this gets fun." The smile on Charles' face stayed the same large expression of joy as the pressure coming from him started getting bad enough that Ego had a single drip of sweat come down from his forehead.
"Just don't do anything that can ruin it." Was all Ego said, returning his gaze to North running in the distance.
--------
"All I am saying is that you should really stop coming in without knocking." The slightly high pitch, girly voice said. The source of said voice was the roommate that North had walked into, Araki Katsuo.
"Does it really matter when we are both men?" North said as he bit into the jelly filled donut that he got from the cafeteria. His head slightly tilted, not understanding the reasoning behind Araki's words.
"It is plainly rude, first off, and it still makes me uncomfortable!" Araki said, his voice slightly rising again. The other Umas around the table looked at him weirdly, which he noticed and lowered his head in embarrassment.
"I am sorry if I am making you uncomfortable but I still don't understand the problem." North's muffled voice answered, stuffing another jelly filled donut into his mouth. "I come to the dorm at almost the exact same time every day, you should be used to me coming in at that time."
"But-"
"And that just brings up the question of why you are changing at that time." North cut him off as he brought up a question.
"We-well, I come back a little before that time so I don't really have any other choice." He stammured out, surprised by the sudden question causing him to quickly explain the reasoning. His ring finger taped against the table with anxiety.
North looked at him with curiosity, opening his mouth to ask something but stopped himself in favor of eating another donut, this time being chocolate filled. Araki just let out a sigh as he watched him stuff multiple donuts into his mouth, resting his head against his arm.
The sound of chatter in the cafeteria filled the silence that would have been prevalent if they had been by themselves. North looked around the place, watching as Umas and trainers ate together with smiles on their faces, friends happily chattering with each other. The smiles and laughs coming from them fill his sight, the joy of others causing a small frown to appear on his face before stuffing another donut into his mouth.
"!!"
"Huh"
Araki looked up to see that North had dropped a donut onto the table, splattering lemon jelly from the missing bite mark. He looked at his face to see that North was focused on something in the distance, he followed the line of sight to see that he was looking at an ashen gray haired horse who was eating a large amount of food. A golden head accessory had light bounce off it as she quickly moved her head around to consume the large amounts of food.
"Isn't that Oguri Cap, do you know her Hayate?" Araki asked, curiosity filling his eyes, but was quickly ignored by North who was still focusing on Oguri in the distance.
North would continue to watch Oguri as she finished her food and left the cafeteria. His eyes focused on her up till she fully left. Araki looked at him, slowly eating his own food as he focused on North.
"I need to get going." North quickly spoke, getting up and leaving the table.
Araki didn't have the chance to say anything to North, spoon inside his mouth as he watched North leave. The plate filled with donuts was left to rot.
"I~ sense dramaa~." Araki sang to himself, watching his roommate leave with curious eyes as he grabbed one of the donuts from the plate.

I was thinking on how to write this part for a long time and on how to write the plot that I have been thinking about.
I think it came out rather well, but that is my opinion. Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this part.
