Chapter 25 - [25]: Confession

"Right, right, Gojo-kun is truly amazing!"

Kitagawa, dressed in Shizuku's clothes, flashed a collapsing smile, extremely excited.

"Shizuku, my Shizuku, I've completely become Shizuku!"

"This is getting a bit out of hand!" Sajuna complained, feeling a strange hostility rising in her heart.

Akira-kun wouldn't like this kind of girl, right?

After all, she's lively, pretty, tall, and beautiful.

As Sajuna thought this, she noticed Akira looking at Marin and Wakana with a motherly smile, his whole demeanor suddenly becoming a little odd.

"Akira-kun, what's wrong?" Sajuna gently leaned against Akira, asking softly.

"Eh? I'm fine?" Akira looked bewildered.

Did I not control my expression while gossiping just now?

"Your expression just now, looking at those two, was really strange!" Sajuna complained, lowering her head and not daring to look into Akira's eyes.

"I feel happy!" Akira said, looking at Sajuna's lowered head. "It feels like their relationship is really something special!"

"Our relationship is also very good," Sajuna murmured softly.

"Yes, Kan'nami Sazuha-chan," Akira said with a gentle smile.

"By the way, Sajuna, do you have any characters you'd like to cosplay?" Akira asked. "Wakana can help you make the clothes later."

Sajuna paused, then thought: "I haven't decided yet, let's talk about it later tonight."

"That's good too. I estimate it won't be long before I can help Sajuna make her clothes."

"Juju-sama, how does my cosplay look?" Marin looked towards Sajuna, her eyes full of expectation.

"V-very good," Sajuna replied.

"Very beautiful, Kitagawa-san," Akira also praised.

"Yay! Juju-sama praised me! Cosplay is so much fun!" Marin cheered, then suddenly remembered: "Oh, right, photos! Gojo-kun, take photos for me!"

"Okay," Wakana agreed.

"So, what are we here for?" Sajuna asked, looking at Akira beside her with a confused expression.

Akira awkwardly rubbed his head. "Probably... to eat this dog food."

He and Sajuna felt so awkward together.

The two of them stayed at Wakana's house for a while longer before leaving.

"Where do we go?" Akira asked Sajuna.

"Where does Akira-kun want to go?" Sajuna countered.

"I'm asking Sajuna precisely because I don't know!" Akira clapped his head, frustrated. Since he had transmigrated, most of his time had been spent working, and he wasn't familiar with most parts of this city, let alone places for recreation.

"I also don't know where to take Sajuna to play," Akira sighed. "How about we just walk around for a bit first?"

Sajuna glanced at the dejected Akira and nodded.

The two walked to a milk tea shop, bought two milk teas, and drank them as they walked. Akira looked at Sajuna beside him.

He suddenly felt that the time was ripe; not confessing now would be disrespectful to her.

He could also tell the fluctuations in Sajuna's mood today at Wakana's house.

She should, by now, no longer feel resistant towards him, right?

Akira suddenly remembered that he had actually held Sajuna's hand today—and she didn't faint?!

"Sajuna," Akira turned his head and said.

"Hmm?!"

Sajuna, face still tilted toward her drink, turned toward him with a hint of confusion in her features.

"I like you, daisuki," Akira looked down at Sajuna. "I fell in love with you from the very first time we met."

"Oh," Sajuna nodded calmly, as if she hadn't heard anything, and casually turned her head back.

"Eh?!!!" She suddenly reacted, her entire complexion turning red, a look of shock on her face.

Why now, at this moment?!

Why so sudden?!

I wasn't even prepared! Why would Akira-kun confess now?!

Akira-kun really does like me!

I think I really like Akira-kun too!

"You, you, what are you saying?!!!" Sajuna stammered, speaking incoherently to Akira.

"Although I haven't known Sajuna for long, I feel that I have recognized my feelings for you, and I hope to spend all the days ahead with you," Akira took a deep breath. "So, Sajuna, let's be together."

Akira looked into Sajuna's eyes, as though he had completed a task.

Now the baton was in Sajuna's hand. Whether to continue forward or turn back midway was Sajuna's choice.

"Then, then I'll agree," Sajuna said shyly, turning her head, not daring to look into Akira's eyes.

It felt like getting a marriage certificate with Sajuna right away would also be perfectly fine.

"Then, Kan'nami Sajuna-chan, let's start with holding hands," Akira said with a smile.

"Eh!"

Akira's large hand reached out, enveloping Sajuna's delicate, kitten-like palm, and gently squeezed her hand.

Sajuna stared blankly at their hands, now intertwined.

It must be a lie, there's no way I can distract myself!

My head feels a little dizzy, but it seems I can still hold on.

"Sajuna, are you feeling alright?" Akira asked with concern. Sajuna's face was too red—wouldn't such blood circulation cause problems?

"I'm fine, it's nothing at all," Sajuna denied.

She hadn't noticed it this morning, but a boy's hand was so big, a little rough to the touch, and so reassuring.

"Sajuna-chan."

"Eh?!"

"Are you happy?! I'm so happy!"

Akira's face showed a contented smile. Even though Akira always smiled, Sajuna still understood the meaning behind this smile.

It was the satisfaction of a wish fulfilled.

So I was Akira-kun's desire!

Sajuna felt a small surge of happiness in her heart.

"Next up is our date!" Akira said. "Let's go catch some dolls!"

"Mm."

"Sajuna, say a little more; you seem so cold."

"Oh."

"I said say a little more; don't you want to talk to me?"

"Of course I want to talk to Aki-Kun."

"Eh, did Sajuna just call me Aki-kun?"

Akira looked at Sajuna with surprise. "I'm so happy."

"Sajuna."

"Hmm?"

"Can I kiss you?"

"Eh?! Kiss?" Sajuna looked around in horror. "There are so many people around?!"

"But I really like you," Akira said, then gently kissed Sajuna's forehead.

Sajuna, who had been in a state of confusion, suddenly froze, her body stiffening as her eyes went blank, and she fainted.

"Eh?! Sajuna-chan!"

Such an act was indeed too soon for her.
