Yuigahama stared nervously at her phone.
Her legs were kicking the sheets at double speed.
"Yumiko… what do I do?
What if he rejects me…?"

He opened it:

Yuigahama froze.
Stared at the screen.
Then
"…We're dating? We're really dating?? I'm dating Ryan???"
She smashed her face into the pillow, legs flailing wildly.
If she were a puppy, her tail would be wagging so fast it'd spin like a propeller.
Just then someone knocked on her bedroom door.
But Yuigahama was too overwhelmed to notice.
A few seconds later, the door opened silently.
Her mother peeked in.
"Oh? Yui looks very happy.Did something good happen~?"
Yuigahama shot up instantly.
"M-Mom!
Why didn't you knock?!"
"I did knock!
But you didn't respond,so I got worried.
And oh my, look how happy you are."
"Did the boy you like confess to you?"
Yuigahama's already red face turned scarlet.
She hesitated
But she wanted to share the good news.
"…I confessed yesterday, but he said he wouldn't accept midnight confessions."
"So I confessed again this morning… and this time he said yes…"

There were no new messages.
Ice cold panic flooded her heart.
Oh no oh no oh no Did he think I ignored him??
Does he think I was lying??
Will he break up with me right after we started??
Tears welled up as she frantically tried to type a message but she didn't even know what to say.
Her fingers trembled over the keyboard Unsure how to begin.
