Chapter 29 - Future Dreams, Present Chaos

JAY-JAY POV

I was finally done picking an outfit — a cute red top with leggings, practical since we'd be moving around a lot.

When I went to find Keifer, I froze for a second. He was wearing a red shirt too.

"Ready, love?" he asked, his grin widening as his eyes swept over me.

I blinked, then laughed softly. "We're matching."

He glanced down at his shirt, then back at me with a smirk. "Of course. You think I'd let you look this good without keeping up?"

I rolled my eyes at him, trying to hide the smile tugging at my lips.

"Let's go," I said, grabbing my bag.

He nodded, still grinning, and headed straight to the car. I followed, shaking my head at his endless confidence.

Sliding into the passenger seat, I caught him sneaking another glance at me before starting the engine.

"What now?" I asked, raising a brow.

"Nothing," he said innocently, though the smirk gave him away. "Just thinking how lucky I am."

"Why?" I asked, confused by his sudden seriousness.

He looked at me with a soft smile. "Because I have a wife who doesn't need make‑up to be beautiful... and who has a heart that makes her shine even more."

My blush deepened instantly, and I turned away, trying to hide the warmth spreading across my face.

"Keifer..." I whispered, my voice trembling with both embarrassment and affection.

He leaned closer, brushing his lips against my temple. "It's true. You're perfect just the way you are."

"Let's go already," I said, tugging at his sleeve. "Before we get late."

Keifer chuckled, shaking his head at my impatience. "Alright, alright. You're the boss."

He opened the car door for me with a little bow, his grin infuriatingly smug.

I rolled my eyes but slipped inside, settling into the seat. He slid in beside me, started the engine, and glanced over with that same mischievous spark in his eyes.

"You know," he said, smirking, "I kind of like it when you rush me. Makes me feel like you can't wait to spend time with me."

I groaned, covering my face with my hands. "Keifer, you never stop."

"And I never will," he replied smoothly, pulling the car onto the road.

We finally reached the amusement park, and the moment I stepped out of the car, my excitement bubbled over.

"Keifer, hurry up!" I called, bouncing on my feet like a kid.

"Wait," he said, still focused on parking properly before strolling toward me with that calm confidence that always contrasted my impatience.

As soon as he reached me, I slipped my hands around his arm, clinging to him with a grin. Together, we started walking toward the entrance, the colorful lights and distant laughter pulling us in.

Keifer glanced down at me, his smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "You look way too excited."

I pouted playfully. "Of course I am! It's an amusement park. Don't tell me you're not excited."

He chuckled, squeezing my hand against his arm. "I'm excited... but mostly because you're here."

I rolled my eyes, but my blush gave me away.

We stepped through the gates of the amusement park, and instantly the world exploded into color and sound.

Bright lights flashed from every direction, the smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled the air, and the laughter of children mixed with the screams from the roller coasters.

KEIFER POV

As soon as we stepped inside the amusement park, my eyes caught on a couple playing with their toddler.

The little one's laughter rang out, pure and contagious, and for a moment I couldn't look away.

A thought slipped in quietly:

Maybe if Jay and I have a kid in the future...

Would they look more like her or me?

I could already imagine Jay's stubbornness shining through — that part was guaranteed.

But maybe they'd have her smile too, the one that lights up everything around her.

I glanced down at Jay, clinging to my arm with that excited sparkle in her eyes, and the thought made me grin.

"Keifer, what are you smiling at?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Nothing... just thinking how our future kids will look," I admitted.

She blushed instantly, her cheeks turning pink. "Idiot."

"Yeah," I said with a grin, "but I'm your idiot."

I hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, "Seriously, Jay... when will we have our little one?"

She frowned, trying to brush me off. "Keifer, be serious."

"I am," I said, pouting like a child. "I want a kid."

She laughed, shaking her head at me. "Oh my god."

Her laughter rang out, light and beautiful, and I couldn't help but smile wider.

Maybe she thought I was joking, but deep down, I knew I meant every word.

"You said kids," she teased, narrowing her eyes. "How many do you want?"

I grinned. "Well... I want ten kids."

Her jaw dropped. "What do you think I am, a human baby producer?"

I couldn't help it — I laughed, actually laughed out loud.

"Keifer, it's not funny," she said, pouting.

"Well, it's not," I replied, still chuckling. "Fine, I'll settle for three... maybe two."

She softened, her lips curving into a smile. "I like that number."

I leaned closer, my eyes locking onto hers, voice dropping to a mischievous whisper. "So... can we make one?"

Her blush flared instantly, and she smacked my arm. "Idiot."

I grinned wider, catching her hand before she could pull away. "Yeah, but I'm your idiot. And one day, we'll have our little one."

JAY-JAY POV

This idiot... talking about our future kids like it's the most casual thing in the world.

But not to lie... I've always wondered too.

I always wanted to know how our kids would look.

Would they have his mischievous grin?

My stubborn streak?

His eyes, maybe... or my smile?

The thought made my cheeks warm, and I glanced at him, still clinging to his arm as we walked through the park.

"Don't laugh," I muttered softly, "but I've thought about it too."

Keifer turned to me, his smirk fading into something softer, more genuine. "Really?"

I nodded, embarrassed but honest. "Yeah... I mean, I wonder if they'd drive us crazy with your teasing and my temper."

He chuckled, leaning down to kiss the top of my head. "Then they'd be perfect. Just like you."

"Forget about that for now," I said quickly, shaking my head at his endless teasing. "Let's go and ride the rides!" I added, tugging at his arm with excitement.

Keifer chuckled, clearly amused by how easily I changed the subject. "Alright, alright. Lead the way, little panda."

I pouted, but my grin gave me away as I dragged him toward the nearest ride. The flashing lights and cheerful music made my heart race with anticipation.

"Which one first?" he asked, smirking as if he already knew I'd pick something dramatic.

I pointed straight at the roller coaster towering above us. "That one!"

I started walking toward the roller coaster, my excitement bubbling over, and Keifer followed right behind me.

The line was long, stretching almost halfway across the ride's entrance, but Keifer didn't seem bothered at all.

"Starting with the scariest? You're braver than you look." he said

I stuck my tongue out at him. "Or maybe I just want to see you scream."

He laughed, shaking his head. "You'll regret saying that when you're clinging to me the whole way."

I looked at him with a smirk. "Let's see who will scream and who will cling."

"Sure," he said confidently, leaning closer. "But if you scream... then I'll kiss you."

I narrowed my eyes, refusing to back down. "Fine. But what if you scream? What's your punishment?"

Keifer tilted his head, pretending to think, though the mischievous glint in his eyes gave him away. "Hmm... punishment, huh? You will get unlimited kiss from you husband"

I gasped, laughing. "That's not fair!"

"Life's not fair, love," he teased, brushing his thumb across my knuckles. "But don't worry... I won't scream."

I rolled my eyes, but my grin betrayed me. "We'll see about that."
