Chapter 15 - 15) Yamanaka Fū's Death

Akira woke before sunrise.

He padded into the kitchen, still half-asleep, and decided — firmly — that he was done with miso soup for breakfast.

"Let's try something high-end today," he muttered, opening the fridge like a noble deciding national policy.

He settled on grilled salmon, tamagoyaki, pickled radish, and rice — the kind of expensive breakfast he'd only ever seen in travel vlogs in his old life.

As he ate, he tapped his chopsticks against his plate rhythmically.

"Okay… priorities."

He leaned back. "There's a mark on someone in Root. Even Kakashi. That means I can detect one coordinate today — wherever Yamanaka Fū is or wherever the pendent is."

He smirked.

"And today… is when I show Itachi proof."

Proof that Chronarch can strike anywhere.

Proof that Akira is not bluffing.

But there were problems.

To demonstrate his "attack," Itachi needed to witness it.

And for that, Itachi needed to be near Yamanaka Fū.

No spies in Root.

No way to track their internal movement.

No precise timing.

Akira sighed. "Only two possibilities: either they naturally meet today and my attack happens at that moment… or I force a situation where the pendant ends up somewhere predictable."

He tapped the table twice.

"But today is a high-level officer meeting in the Hokage building."

His smile sharpened.

"Last time… I blew the entire office into atoms. Not even ashes left."

He held up his fingers a few centimeters apart.

"This time, much smaller. More surgical."

If the marked coordinate appeared inside the Hokage building during the meeting, then he would know: Fū is there.

And then Akira could trigger a cube just large enough to prove a point — not enough to kill the entire upper echelon… only the ones who deserved it.

He paused, chopsticks frozen mid-air.

"One meter cube? Only kills one."

He frowned.

"That won't scare the world."

"A room-sized cube?"

He shook his head.

"That defeats the purpose."

He placed the last bite of salmon in his mouth and whispered:

"Two meters."

Decision made.

Akira finished eating, walked out to the first-floor balcony, and let the sunlight wash over him.

"The world keeps running," he murmured, staring at Konoha as villagers bustled below. "Day. Night. Day. Night."

But today — today would be different.

Today, the world would blink… and something would simply cease to exist.

Hokage Building — High-Level Meeting

The meeting hall inside the Hokage building was packed.

The Hokage himself.

Konoha's F4 (Homura, Koharu, Mitokado, and Hiruzen).

Clan heads:

Ino-Shika-Chō

Hyūga clan

Aburame clan

Uchiha clan

Kurama clan

Several elite jōnin

Dozens of chairs arranged around a circular table, with a noticeable gap separating the Hokage faction from other clans and commoner s.

Everyone attending already understood the rule of politics:

For small matters, large meetings are held.

For large matters, only small meetings — or none — are held at all.

Which meant:

This meeting was nothing serious.

Just complaining, praising, and bureaucratic nonsense.

Uchiha Fugaku sat with Itachi standing behind him.

Hyūga Hiashi stood straight-backed.

Nara Shikaku looked half-asleep already.

Behind Danzo stood his two shadows — Yamanaka Fū on the right side and Aburame Tōrune in the left side.

Beside Danzo Utane koharu sat more than a meter aside

But beneath the monotony, something electric was in the air.

A faint tension no one could identify.

No one except Itachi, whose eyes kept drifting — for reasons he didn't understand — toward Fū.

The meeting began.

Shinobi stood, sat, spoke, argued.

And then—

Space distorted.

A perfect cube — two meters in every direction — expanded outward from Yamanaka Fū's body.

It happened in less than a heartbeat.

Fwoom.

Danzo's entire right arm which was made of hashirama cells and sharingan was swallowed instantly — from shoulder to fingertips.

Koharu, seated next to him, vanished from the spot inside the cube.

Every head turned.

Nobody breathed.

And then—

The cube disappeared.

No sound.

No flash.

No chakra.

Simply… nothing.

Where the cube had been, there was only emptiness.

Like a god had erased a chunk of reality with an invisible hand.

A moment later—

Danzo screamed.

A horrible, ragged sound as blood sprayed across the floor.

"MEDICAL TEAM!" Sarutobi roared, slamming his hands on the table. "GET THE MEDICS HERE, NOW!"

Elite jōnin froze in place — because anyone who moved would be suspected.

Fugaku's Sharingan snapped open.

Itachi stared at Fū's position, where the pendant glinted faintly just for a moment before the attack.

Hyūga Hiashi activated his Byakugan in terror.

Nara Shikaku muttered, "This is… impossible."

Koharu was gone.

Not dead.

Not injured.

Erased.

Tōrune staggered, horrified but silent.

Danzo collapsed, half his body simply… missing.

His right shoulder, arm, part of his ribs, part of his thigh — all carved out as cleanly as if reality forgot they existed.

More screaming.

More chaos.

Medics rushed in, sealing wounds, stabilizing Danzo, dragging him out.

And in the silence that followed…

Every person in that room understood one thing:

A new monster was inside Konoha.

A monster who could kill anyone, anywhere…

Just by annihilating the space itself.

And far away, somewhere unseen, Akira watched the result with cold satisfaction.

The demonstration was complete.
