Morning sunlight filtered through the quiet streets of Konoha as Akira Uchiha walked between his parents, heading toward the Academy for the very first time. Today marked the beginning of his official journey as a shinobi—even if he already felt more experienced than the average six-year-old.
Beside them walked Mikoto Uchiha, gently guiding little Sasuke, who stared ahead with a mix of anxiety and pride. "First day of school," she said warmly. "Let's do our best."
Akira adjusted his small Uchiha-crest backpack, feeling strangely nostalgic. This is it. The beginning of the Shinobi arc.
When they reached the Academy courtyard, they joined the crowd of parents and children gathering for the entrance ceremony. And then the Third Hokage appeared.
The old man cleared his throat, raised his pipe, and began his speech.
A very long speech.
"So, as future shinobi of the Will of Fire…"
"…and in the era of peace we must protect with our lives…"
"…remember the teachings of our predecessors…"
Akira stared blankly, his soul drifting somewhere outside his body.
—Why does this feel like hours?
—You have already chosen your death.
He shook his head violently. "No, no, no, I'm not that bastard," he muttered to himself, forcing his spirit to return to his body. The entrance ceremony continued. Akira pretended to pay attention.
When the Hokage finally ended the speech, everyone moved inside to their assigned classes.
Akira stepped into Class 1A, the elite class for fresh students. He glanced around at all the unfamiliar faces. Background characters… probably most of them.
A chunin stepped inside. "Hello, my name is Haruto Kagezawa, and I will be your homeroom teacher for the next six years. I hope you will study diligently and walk toward the dreams you cherish. Let's begin introductions."
One by one, the students stood.
"Hello my name is ...
I want to be a kunoichi like Lady Tsunade!"
"I want unlimited food!" said a round boy from the Akimichi clan.
"I will become Hokage!" declared another confident child.
The routine continued until the teacher was about to call Akira.
Before Akira could stand, a knock came at the door.
A second teacher entered, holding a small note. "Akira Uchiha?"
Akira blinked. "…Yes?"
"You're being promoted. You're to transfer immediately to Class 3A."
The entire room froze.
Akira stared, unsure. "Teacher… what happened?"
"You have already met the requirements for a higher level. Please report to Class 3A."
Inside, Akira sighed. He knew why. Training with Sasuke and his father for eight months… learning ninjutsu early… the Uchiha clan already knew about it. It made sense they didn't want him wasting time in a beginner class.
He stood properly. "I am Akira Uchiha. My dream is to become Hokage. Thank you for having me."
The classroom erupted the moment he left.
"HE SKIPPED TWO YEARS?!"
"We already lost on day one?!"
"What monster is he?!"
Akira calmly closed the door behind him and walked down the hall.
____
Class 3A
He reached the door of Naruto's class—Class 3A—and knocked.
The class teacher, Umino Iruka, opened the door. He blinked, surprised to see a tiny freshman.
Then he remembered the instructions he received earlier and nodded. "Come in."
Iruka walked to the front board, Akira following behind. The entire class stared in confusion.
Iruka wrote clearly:
Uchiha Akira — Transfer Student to Class 3A
The room exploded with whispers.
Naruto jumped up. "EH?! He's even SHORTER than me! HAHAHA! I'm not the shortest anymore!"
Naruto was proud—finally relieved from being the shortest kid in the class.
Akira simply stared at him.
This brat is annoying.
Ino crossed her arms. "Naruto, he's six. You're eight. Don't compare heights!"
Sakura nodded, though her eyes quickly shifted back to Sasuke.
Some of the girls, however, locked onto Akira like predators spotting prey.
Elite clan background. Check
Strong. Check
Skipped two grades. Check
Prime husband material—according to their tiny, competitive minds.
Akira introduced himself calmly. "I'm Akira Uchiha. And my goal is to become Hokage."
Half the class froze. An Uchiha… wanting to be Hokage?
Naruto, of course, exploded. "You?! No way! I'm gonna be Hokage! I'll beat you tomorrow in training!"
The class burst into laughter—at Naruto, not Akira.
Akira nodded at Naruto like he was patting the head of a younger sibling and took the empty window seat in the back.
Immediately, Ino placed her bag beside him, claiming the seat next to his.
The other girls wilted in disappointment, their competitive flames still burning.
Akira smiled at Ino. She looked way too proud of herself for someone who was still practically a child in his eyes.
He treated her like a cute little sister—not a love interest.
After the First Class
When class ended, Ino turned to him with bright eyes.
"Hello Akira! I'm Yamanaka Ino! Call me Ino—everyone does!"
Akira nodded. "Nice to meet you."
Before he could finish, a wave of girls flooded around his table, introducing themselves one after another.
"Hello! I'm Ayane Shirogane!"
"I'm Naomi Tsukishiro!"
"I'm Yui Kazahana!"
"I'm Akemi Tatsukawa!"
Names, clans, greetings—nonstop.
Sasuke was experiencing the same, though his crowd was quiter.
Everyone else—mostly boys—could only stare from a distance with despair.
Akira just sat there, smiling politely but dying inside.
Day one… and I've already become a rare animal exhibit.
