After we were kicked out, a female NPC wearing a KRS uniform ran up to us, looking very anxious. She said, "Are you the prefects sent by Team Leader Huang to support the KRS? Practice is about to start, but we're still missing three people. Can you go to the open area behind the cafeteria and substitute for the absent members in the practice?"
The female NPC didn't wait for our reply. She turned and ran as soon as she finished speaking. Before we could even move, robots appeared both in front and behind us.
We were surrounded!
The three of us instinctively took out our ballpoint pens and quickly activated our lightsabers to counterattack.
Xin Hui and Zi Qian moved swiftly, starting their attacks before the robots could even finish their line, "We are the robots, specialized in punishing students who break the rules."
Just watching Xin Hui, it was clear she was an experienced player. Every time, she elegantly dodged the enemy's attacks and could accurately strike back at the opponent, every sword strike surely hitting the enemy; although Zi Qian only used basic attacks, sometimes even missing the robots, his reactions were exceptionally agile, and the robots' red lightsabers never had a chance to touch him.
After I raised my sword and dealt with the few robots near me, I went to support Xin Hui and Zi Qian, to eliminate the remaining robots together.
"What exactly is your character level?" Zi Qian put away his lightsaber into his pocket, walked towards me and asked, "It's not over 35, is it?"
I looked at the small white text below my health bar in the upper left corner; it displayed LV50.
"Yes, it's over 35" I nodded.
"Impossible! In the game test, all players start from level 30. You just entered the game, when did you have time to level up?" Xin Hui rested her chin on her hand, thinking for a moment. "Zi Qian, how did you know his level is different from ours?"
"We need at least six or seven sword strikes to eliminate one robot, but he finishes them off in one or two strikes. I already noticed it from the Boon Fong part – he used just one strike at the end to finish off Boon Fong who still had one-third of his HP left."
"Could it be that because Wu Yi logged into the game later than us, there was a system error upon entry, causing his level cap to be higher than others?" Xin Hui analyzed.
I don't agree with Xin Hui's theory; I don't think the game system would have such an error.
I'm currently using the smart glasses belonging to the old lady's grandson, so this level 50 game account probably belongs to him. But why does he have an account for the Campus Adventures game test?
"Impossible," Zi Qian said.
I was initially thinking it was rare for Zi Qian to share the same thought as me, but then he continued: "I think he went off to grind levels by himself after entering the game."
"I did not go level up alone," I retorted immediately.
"Then how do you explain your level being higher than everyone else's?" Zi Qian asked, widening his eyes.
"How should I know? I was already this level when I entered the game."
I found Zi Qian's questioning baffling. Before I could even explain how I entered the game, Zi Qian pressed on: "You never actually intended to find us and team up to challenge quests, did you? If we hadn't coincidentally run into each other in Class 1-1, you wouldn't have reluctantly teamed up with us, right?"
"I didn't think about teaming up with you, but that's because I didn't know this was Campus Adventures, and I certainly didn't know you were inside the game."
