Sniff , sniff , sniff
The sound of sniffing reached Tess's ears , snapping out of his unruly thoughts,he quickly turns his head , glancing the direction of the sound,his eyes showing little bit of fear,as he was searching the source of the sound, tess thought back of the fight not too long ago, the roars that caries blood lust and madness, as he was getting those flash backs,he noticed there is a small gap between the rubble, on the other side of the gap there is red ,blood shot eye that is burning with madness, eyeing him through it.
Sckriech, shriek, shriek
As the beast saw him ,it started to wildly hit the rubble , it was making loud shrieking noises,
Tess was looking at it with complicated expression, although it's cold ,Tess started sweating bullets, he was nervous, because of the lack of experience,if he fight the monster that is traying to break the rubles he is in, this will be his first fight,his first time seeing a monster, who knows what rank the monster is.
Tess is once grateful that he was is big pile of rubble ,the huge slaps of stones ,is not some thing that some low ranking monster is able to break,if it's powerful one is another story ,Tess has no weapons ,no armor , lady luck was actually cheating on him.
'right now it is best for me to stay in the ruble' Tess though 'until I get a good grasp of my innate ability and how to use it, it is versatile one so it can compensate for the lack of the weapon, if I can imbue the darkness in my arm it can turn into weapon, and if I can do the same to my body other. Body parts ,it can reinforce me' .

The beast was going wild as it was hitting the gigantic slaps of stones,the impact and the shrieking sound fill the air ,the beats attacks were relentless,brutal, but it wasn't capable of breacheing through it ,Tess noticed that as well ,the monsters attacks can't destroy these monolithic slabs, although it was moving from time to time and dust was falling from above, but that's it.
Tess looked the beats straight at its bloodred eyes that was staring at him deeply,like it was staring at his soul, small smirk crept in to his face and he said.
"So you're not the menaces I heard while ago...if you're can't break this rubles ,that means you're an F rank monster....you're manageable then ,with preparations."
"Who built these stones ,they are so sturdy....well who ever you are I am grateful for this.....now how about I figure out how to use my ability....hmmm...warden was it"
Tess sat in cross legged, his hands on his knees ,he closed his eyes ,clearing his mind out of distraction, he breathed in and breathed out slowly, he did it because he read a book that he found inside the mud about meditation.
Tess meditated for couple of minutes,his focus of concentration being his dual cores, in his lower abdomen there is blue radiant ball of energy, it's size slightly bigger than baseball, and in the middle of the his chest there is black energy that has a hue of red ,also the same size of the former.
Tess opened his eyes an summoned the system again.

'the radiant blue energy is mana' Tess pondered 'and the black one is demonic energy, I carry the magical energies of both races , the blue one is calm and southing , while the black one is vicious and destructive '.
Every race has signiture magical energy has they posses .
Humans ,dragons , and some other races use mana, elves and some magical beasts use aether,demons use demonic energy.
' an individual can only have one type of magical energy ' Tess though ' I have never heard of some one that can have multiple types.....I don't know about the mixed races ,but all I know is two different magical energy can't co exist in a single individual, the system said there is abnormality, and it spilitted my core into two...which was painful, it felt like my whole soul is being torn apart'
Tess again closed his eyes and focused his concentration into the blue radiant core, the energy was warm and southing but also very calm ,Tess willed the energy to flow through his body, warm and southing energy pour out of his core , flowing his throught his blood vessels, muscles ,bones , it embraced his whole body ,Tess felt warm as his body regained the lost temperature due to the cold wind that was blowing through the gaps of the rubble ,and his strength increased.
Then Tesss activated his first seal ability [Warden of darkness] the darkness around him stirred like it was responding to his will.
'i can manipulate the darkness around me a little bit, it doesn't fully obey me ' Tess though 'then can I counjure it....and make it obey me '
Tess lifted up his hand from his knee , the palm was open, facing upward, Tess was concentrating,after couple of seconds, little stream of darkness appeared above his palm,he felt his mana being used up, the little stream grow, as more and more darkness is being conjured , it swirled and rotated making a rotating ball of darkness, that fully obeyed Tess's will, Tess willed the darkness to wrap around his hand,it became pich black and strong durable and agile , then he moved the darkness to other parts of the body ,every where he imbued it become strong ,durable and agile, Tess felt he could run faster if he imbued on his legs,punch harder if he also cover the darkness on his fist.
' conjured darkness obeys me completely ' Tess pondered ' but natural darkness, it responds to me ,but doesn't fully obey me....hmmmm....I need to practice what I can do first and then do the others later time'
As Tess was pondering he heard a low growl, he glaces the place where the gap was ,the monster that was eyeing through there has given up, it gave him one hatefull gaze before leaving, it looked like it was saying " count your dump days..let's see if the rupple will protect you for ever".
It was still night time, darkness embraced every where ,but Tess could see in the dark, as the beast was leaving Tess saw what it was for the first time, it was a wolf like creature ,but more bigger , it has red fur , the rips where exposed ,but there was no blood flowing out , it's stomach were skinless and has no flesh,only bones.
" An undead " Tess muttered "I only heard about them or read in books , so they are real , beings that died but brought back to life ,by sorcery, abilities,or some of them has great attachment to something or too much regret, hate ,etc so they resist to cross over the boundary of death, after that they turn into undead "
Tess let out a big sight and standup stretching and loosening his body and he said "let's train and hone my ability until dawn ..I am hungry , I can't stay here for ever .....I need to eat ".
