Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Monster!

Why am I sweating so much? Why is it so hot here? Looked around. Am I back home? Is the game over?

"Why?... Why am I in the middle of the Old City in Stockholm?"

The first floors of the shops were all on fire. Is this Stella's bullshit world? Noticed the pain on the left side of the stomach and lifted the blazer to check on my shirt. A bubble sprouted from my shirt, and I unbuttoned it and looked down at the injury. How could a simple graze not heal? It is still bleeding from the injury. Someone walked through the fire from one of the alleyways, and it was the grown-up version of Stella in her traditional maid's clothing. How did she not burn? The red eyes looked at me while I tried buttoning up, as I definitely didn't want to join her kinky shit.

A woman walked past me, like nothing had happened, all smiling.

"Don't worry! They do not see the fire. There is still a problem, Berk?"

She started to jump around in a small circle, which I found distracting as she had big tits and behaved like a brat, and my head went on auto mode and bounced together with her tits.

"What do you want, Stella?"

She stopped her little game and bent forward, which made my brain go completely into library mode. I could see the book flipping through the pages, and I was giving a thumbs-up in only underwear for approval, to remember the moment. It turned out to be an excellent picture when I blinked; my underwear version of me said, 'Successful mission, added to the book of half-nudes.'

"Come walk with me, Berk!"

She turned around and was walking in the other direction. When I moved, I could feel how much slower I was walking because of the injury. Luckily, she walked really slowly. Was she maybe aware of my injury?

"Berk! You are really close to putting yourself in a lot of trouble, and you will kill us if you do not take care of your body." She uttered in a disappointed voice.

"Pfft! I am Mr. Take care of himself. What are you talking about?"

She stopped, looked down on my injured area, and answered:

"Then why are you dying right now for the second time? The first time was understandable, but the second time was pure idiotic behaviour from you. The graze you got, you just ignored it as if nothing had happened, and now it won't stop bleeding. You will die if this continues, and there are other dangerous things that you should be aware of, instead of being killed by a simple graze from a sword. Ungrateful child!"

Okay, I can take the injury blame, but being called a child? That is way overkill.

"Look, it is not like you have been exactly forthcoming with anything. How do you expect me to react to different situations? If you have not realized, I am fighting a battle of impossibilities in a fucking game world. You should be more understanding of the situation, and if you have any black power, maybe sharing is caring, and it would be good to...Uh, I don't know, share the fucking power because you are in this state, and that is completely useless for me."

She looked upset by what I said and started walking away again. I followed after her when she said:

"I have given you a small part of my powers; you are not worthy of all my powers. When the time comes, you will get all my powers, but you have to earn them, and don't count on me helping you. There is a reason the 100TH demon army would never give our powers to anyone: you need to show us that you are worthy of inheriting the powers, and you need to get stronger, not only in body, but also in your mind and thoughts."

Great, I have a miss poet in my hands who sometimes talks really beautifully, as if it were something delivered by an angel.

"BERK!" Someone screamed, and I turned around to see where it came from, but I couldn't see anything because of the smoke from the fire.

"BERK!...BERK!"

I think maybe I did recognize the voice. Why did it sound like I'd heard it before?

"I think the time has come for you to go!" Stella uttered.

I turned back to Stella, and a scream came from the distance, making the woman and child stop. The scream did not even register as something human, more something creepy. I moved past Stella to see if I could spot anything coming through the smoke. A honk from a car echoed, and suddenly a car came flying above the smoke toward us, and I rushed and grabbed the woman and child as the front of the vehicle crashed down only a couple of meters in front of us and bounced up over us, landing far away behind Stella.

"BERK...WAKE UP!"

That weird sound again is coming from the smoke. The woman and child started to run in that direction, and Stella moved in an instant, and I was thrown into the air like nothing from her when I saw something big, like a monster, show up behind the smoke. Rolled on the ground and tried to gather myself, but I was way too slow because of the injury. If the woman and the child had been too far away, I would never have made it.

The big...wait a minute...It is a monster anabolic steroids type of a maid standing in front of Stella. It even looked like her, what the fuck!

"WHAT IS GOING ON, STELLA?"

The monster maid swung high and hit down with her fist towards Stella, who blocked it with both arms.

"GIVE HIM TO ME, I WANT HIM TO JOIN ME IN THE DARKNESS!" The monster screamed.

"Never, as long as I am here, I will never give him to you!" She answered and looked back at me, and she screamed, "FOLLOW WHERE THE EARLIER VOICE CAME FROM!"

I turned around and ran as fast as I could, looked back at Stella, and entered the black smoke with my eyes closed. When I opened them, I was breathing heavily, and Tinker was in front of me. I was back on the train again, and she was touching my face when, in a swosh, her voice became understandable.

"BERK! Wake up, you are sweating and bleeding, and the injury you got is not healing." She explained, and I was too tired even answer. I lifted my blazer and saw all the blood, fuck, I am dying. Kuseka and her two samurai colleagues had come to our seats and looked down at me.

"Strange, this is the man who has the biggest bounty? He is on the way to dying of a simple graze by a sword."

The box appeared in the air and started scanning me up and down before making an announcement:

"Train will stop at the next station. Blocks are placed on the tracks to prevent the train from leaving, and the train will remain at the station for two days. The game has added an extra assignment because of the stop. While treating the wounds of the Teamleader of Van Polan, you need to clear the mission to make the sun rise again in this town."

Mejni put his hand up and said:

"I not fagree, fet hem die!"

Now I remembered, I need to kill that cat as soon as possible so I can get rid of my problems.

"Your request has been denied, as an Assassin trying to lower the levels to Medium instead of playing in Impossible mode."

"Ha...Ha! I hope you die, cat!" I said in a weak state.

"Question goes to Team Kuseka, are you willing to join Team Van Polan temporarily for this specific mission?"

"Eh, NO! We, the Samurai, have an honor code: we do not join forces with the weak. I am not willing to risk the remaining comrades because of the useless team of Van Polan. Even if Tinker spared my life, all I can do to pay her back is not arrest her team. I still need to travel to the next town as I need to meet Lord Zemon to report all the things that happened during the trip."

"Request for temporary members of Team Van Polan has been denied."

"No shit! Like I didn't hear her speak, you damn box."

The train stopped in complete darkness, with a couple of upgraded lamps illuminating the platform. Tinker helped me get up from my seat, and we walked out onto the platform when a young teenager stopped three individuals who had gotten off the second wagon. All covered in cloaks, like they did now, wanted to show themselves to anyone. He said something to them, then ran towards us, a chain hanging from his shoulder and a small sword.

"Do you know where the reinforcement soldiers are. The superheroes? They should have arrived with this train."

Hm...in what delusional world did this young man show up?

"I don't understand what you mean. Soldiers?...Superheroes?" Tinker replied.

Yeah, go Tinker. Show him your murderous 'I blow up whole villages and towns intent'.

"What! Where are the soldiers? The heroes? The blue electricity boy explained that help would come with this train."

Not the electro Kid Von The Fuck again; he is making my life even more of a mess.

"Look! There is nobody else, Kido Von The Fuck lied to you. I am sorry!" I told him, and his face changed, looking distraught.

I should have been more lenient.

"Excuse me! Do you know where to find a doctor? Our friend is hurt!" Tinker explained as the young man stared at my bloody shirt.

"Y-Y-Yes! There is a witch's shop; we need to take the backroads there. Follow me!"

We followed out behind the platform, and it was not a freaking town, more like a big city in the 1900s.
