She quickly unfolded the letter and spread it out. She is going to read out loud to them: What the letter holds.
Her gaze scanned through the paper and her brow squinted, trying to process the words.
Congratulations!!! You have been officially promoted to the secretary of the KWINS Company due to your effective and efficient work aligned with the passion to serve this company. You are granted two hours rest from the moment you received this letter before resuming fully as the secretary of KWINS Company.

Her hand trembled, the paper nearly slipped from her grasp. REALLY!
How come? How possible? Of all position in the world, why his secretary?
No wonder, Thomas was gazing at her heatedly. He was removed from his post because of her.
It was worth more than a killing glare
But… why would he promote her instead of firing her?
Did he not recognize her? But he should, it felt like he does, why would he do that then?
**CEO's Office**
Neptune sneered evily, a wicked grin on his lip. He has successfully bring her close to himself, he would then deal with her, drain off all her blood and make her regret ever offending him in the first place. Then, she would be the one fall on her knee, apologize and seek for forgiveness after all the torture he is going to present to her.
She would know the definition of HELL ON EARTH
*2 hour later*
With gaze casted on the floor, Aiva twisted and untwist her finger. She had removed the heavy make-up from her face. Her ego sank like a stone, her wings broken. She thought she was no longer a worker, that was why she act all high and mighty, soaring high in the sky but now that she remain as his worker, she had no choice but to be polite.
He had given her a second chance, she must not misuse it. She must make it to success here. Just a month salary can clear the three kid's school fees, their rent fee and she would buy some food stuffs, new cloth for the kiddies and her yet the money would remain some few amounts, all those things were cheap though. She would make it to fortune here.
She has been given the opportunity to prosper, she would grab it with both hands without making it slip through.
No matter what it takes, no matter what it requires, even if it stooping low to lick his feet, she would embrace it gladly as long as she could continue to get rich… but if he one day fire her…. She would unleash her madness and show him hell.
'You can resume to your office immediately.' Neptune broke the ice in the atmosphere while Aiva raise her little head.
'Yes sir, thank you sir.' She replied, bowing countless times while Thomas who stood beside her just glare at her angrily.
Since she is the secretary now, what is he?
Assistant secretary? Or is he fired?
'Mr. Thomas would guide you on how to work on those files. You have the limit of just two days, learn what you must.'' He gave his order while Aiva simply nodded. Thomas instead, turned to look at Neptune, his eyes popped out.
'2 days?! When she is not a robot!!!! How would she assimilate them all? She is just an intern that doesn't even know what files are…
Why does this looks like… A punishment?
'Then I think I'm done with you.' He concluded, passing the word 'you can excuse yourself.' Before turning to Thomas.
'And you, this letter is for you.' He said, picking up a letter from his table.
Thomas sighed and bowed deeply before walking forward to accept the letter.
He was fired for a lady, for an intern!
How can this new stupid boss of him be so mean, brutal and ruthless? He should just say it to his face that he is fired, why bother presenting it in a fancy letter that would remind him of his misfortune always?
"Thank you sir, I would leave.' He said and bowed, turning back to take his leave with Aiva but Neptune's voice stop them.
'Check it now.' He commanded while Thomas halted. He opened the later just as said and what greeted him were the three words written in red. "You are fired." The disappointment on his face deepened as he read the word that lies beneath.
Oh, he Is fired but can't leave till he teach Aiva for 2 days.
"Shut the door behind you when you're out.' He said, his face all neutral as if he did nothing bad. Thomas bowed obediently then turned back to leave while Aiva glared at him for a while before following Thomas.
A huge mansion of hatred rooted in her mind. That bastard arrogant stupid punk! How dare he toy with people's feelings like that? He is acting all proud mainly because he is rich. Firing people anyhow without offence just because he is the CEO. He is just a cheap bastard. She hate him and hate him more , but under the facade of boss and employee, she would act all kind and polite, but deep within her heart, she would continue to curse him.
Neptune's lips curled up as the two of them disappeared behind the door. Now, Thomas would be mad because he lose his job because of her. He won't teach her properly and she would not get it in 2 days. Then, he would have a reason for punishing her without looking petty.
