Chapter 22 - Chapter 21: Getting Her Revenge

"Hiiii!!!" Prince Clovis squaked as he was about to run away from his Throne and outside G-1 Command Base. His troops were beaten! The only thing he has left are old tanks and infantry.

They are not useful in defending him, as they are far away!

So he tried to run away, but his followers even left him first! Before he could even leave the CIC room, the doors sealed and left him alone in CIC!

"I command you to open the doors! How dare you! I am your Viceroy! I will hang you for this!" Clovis banged the door, trying to get someone to open it for him.

But then he turned stiff as the sound of shattering glass and the smell of burning metal caused him to slowly turn around.

He saw a beam saber cut open the bridge section, and a mech assisted a couple of people to enter the CIC through the newly created entrance.

It was a black haired teen and a familiar green-haired girl.

"...Y-You…" Clovis looked at them, and he recognised the black-haired guy as well!

"...Marcus Goldman! Y-You are the pilot of that machine!?"

"I am dissapointed that you don't recognise your own brother, Clovis." Marcus shook his head as he removed his blue eye contacts.

It took a couple of moments for the Viceroy to put a name to a face.

"L-Lelouch!? You look so different, I barely recognise you." Clovis chuckled as he all of a sudden became all friendly, as if those machines behind the window no longer existed.

Before he could even get close, the green-haired girl next to Lelouch grabbed the black haired exiled Prince's sheathed sword and pulled it out of the scabbard and pointed at Clovis.

"...L-Lelouch?" Instead of saying anything to the green-haired girl, since he knows she won't listen… considering all the things Clovis did over the years, he hopes his brother will reason with the girl!

"I am dissapointed in you, Clovis. Really? Experimenting on people? Are you out of your mind?" Marcus shook his head. This blonde half-brother of his is a retard…

"Y-You don't understand! She is immortal! She can't killed! Do you have any idea what we could do with such power!?" Clovis was taking a step back as the girl with a sword was walking towards him.

"You are a moron. You assume that such a thing is difficult to achieve." Marcus shook his head as he walked forward.

The green-haired girl stopped and looked at him. What is he even talking about?

"Just from the top of my head, I have at least three forms of immortality I could achieve without torturing someone." The Inventor Prince snorted in disgust.

"...W-What are you talking about?" Clovis looked confused, forgetting his situation for a second.

"Fool! I am the one who built these machines!" He pointed at the machine behind him.

"These can fly through space! I will use them to conquer Space itself! Do you think something like Immortality is something hard to achieve!?

It's a fundamental step! In a ladder that I am stepping on! Genetics at the base is an organic code that can be programmed.

There are hoops that one needs to step through to program it, obviously, but then again, since you went for a barbaric method of torture, then I doubt you even understand half of my words." Marcus snorted in disgust.

Remembering that the blonde guy before him is as dumb as a brick.

"..."

"I know, I know, just continue what you were intending to do." Marcus waved his hand and motioned for the green-haired girl to continue with her revenge.

"W-Wait! We are still blood! You can't do that!" Clovis was feeling terrified of what was to come to him.

"I am not doing anything, Clovis."

"S-Stop her! Y-You can't allow her to kill me!" The guy dropped on his ass as he began to backpedal away from the grinning girl.

"Like how you tried to kill her? Oh come on, when you take someone's life, be ready not to complain when you are about to lose your own.

That's why I built machines; you should have done the same thing. At least this way you could have protected yourself." Marcus shook his head again as he turned around and walked back to his mobile suit.

What followed next were screams and pleas to spare him.

'All I can say is that power built by oneself is superior to any given one.' He thought about Geass and how it twists people.

At least when one builds power on their own, they deserve it, as they put effort and time into it. What Clovis wanted was to become immortal and eternally young.

These kinds of things will never conclude well in the end.

After a couple of moments, the girl returned. She looked like she was bathed in blood.

"If you think that I will allow you to enter my machine when you are soaked in blood, then you are mistaken."

His hand went under his seat. A section opened, and he pulled out a box of wet wipes. He threw it at the girl who was standing at the edge.

She was barely able to understand what was going on, almost dropping the box, but then she realised what this was.

"...Are you serious?" Only one thing came to her mind at such a time! Was he serious!?

"Deadly, now clean yourself." He motioned just to do it.

"...Fine…" With an annoyed grunt, she began to wipe off Clovis' blood.

Midway, Marcus got his sword back and began to meticulously clean it before storing it in's sheath.

"I am surprised that you don't care that I took your sibling's life." She said that while wiping off the blood from her hair.

"I do have what one calls a bottom line." He snorted while saying that. "Clovis was a lost cause. He had no part in my future. If he salivated like that from something as basic as Immortality, then he will betray me for less."

"...Immortality is not basic. There are only two beings in the world who have what you just described." She said with an assured tone.

"For now, yes. However, I haven't started delving into biology that much." He stroked his chin. Thinking that he should start delving into that.

Mobile suits are great, but he was still flesh and blood, quite vulnerable; it will be hard to survive once he starts space exploration and development.

"Your confidence is commendable, but for years, no one could figure out my immortality." She smiled for a second; her smile was a bit mocking. The girl has heard this many times from numerous people; to her, it was like a song on repeat.

"That's because people lacked a point of reference. A starting point. Just like how people said that deep sea exploration was pointless, as they had no way of knowing how to do it until they discovered the compass."

She shrugged, hearing that. Time will tell, just like for the past 500 years. Regardless of what they say or would do. She will see it one way or another.

Once she was clean, the girl walked over inside the cockpit, handing over the remaining tissues to him.

"Satisfied?" The Green-haired girl asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes. Now come over." He motioned for her to get back into her spot.

She didn't hesitate and got on his lap.

Before long, the machines' thrusters turned on and Tiranis began to ascend. He pointed the beam rifles at the G-1 and opened fire.

Moments later, it exploded into a ball of flames. Marcus didn't hesitate and killed everyone in the area. Making sure no one could have seen him.

At the same time, his AI is on the watch for anyone uploading anything on the internet or government computers.

"Is it over? I assume Clovis is no more?" Leila appeared on the screen. She frowned when she saw the green-haired girl.

The green-haired girl in question looked at her. Her yellow eyes gazed at hers.

'I know you… but where…"

But then she realised something!

'That's right! In France!'

To think that the Geass she gave to the girl back then will be here!

'Fate works in strange ways…'

"He is gone…" Marcus looked at the girl in his hands, he realised that she got very comfortable… and really quickly!

"You didn't tell me your name yet." He asked her.

One of her eyebrows went up.

"I guess I didn't. You can call me C.C."

"...C.C? Is that a code? Well, it doesn't matter." He shrugged, making her a bit annoyed by how nonchalant he was.

It's like he expected that from her. It makes her feel that he is seeing through her! And that is annoying! How could he? She lived hundreds of his lifetimes!

Regardless, she will watch him, and might as well give him Geass. If he wants immortality that much, she can give it to him!

Hah! Let's see how he will deal with that!

Her cynical side surged; now she wants to see how he will fail! If he is that confident in his abilities!

"Yes. Anyway, C.C. got her revenge for torturing her." Marcus said to Leila.

"Is that so. He was your brother." The blonde mentioned that.

"Indeed, he was. I have many of those back in Pendragon." He rolled his eyes.

"Right, we will talk once we are back at base."

With that said, the conversation was over, and the three machines returned to the base.

C.C. watched as one after another they were stored in a special place behind a wall. They are maintained by machines.

A lot of machines. After looking around, she noticed that this place was far more advanced than the Geass Order, which should be the most advanced place in the whole World.

With all of their fancy technologies and research… but then again, she hasn't been there for years, and this place develops different things…

"...I know you." Leila walked over as soon as Marcus and that girl were out of the machine.

Instead of saying anything, C.C.'s forehead glowed, and Leila's left eye reacted. It morphed into a blue bird symbol before shifting into a red symbol.

"Fascinating. You never activated your Geass before. That is impressive."

"What did you do to me?" Leila covered her eye.

"Nudged you a little." The green-haired girl shrugged nonchalantly before curiously smiling.

"I do wonder what your ability is."

"What are you talking about?" The blonde began to get nervous. By this point, the ruckus attracted Marcus and Milly.

The fellow blonde was telling Marcus how well her KK-21 Flidais worked.

"What is going on?" The pair walked over to them.

"She did something to me," Leila said as she looked at Marcus. There was eye contact, and that moment the blonde stopped in her tracks; she began to understand…

Marcus, his desires, his ambition, why he is trying so hard, why he desires space so much.

It was similar to her! She wanted Freedom and power to live the way she wants to live!

For Leila, just being away from the Malcal family was her goal.

But Marcus? He was someone from a different league; he doesn't just want to achieve space travel and become the ruler of space, but he wants to drag entire humanity with him.

It's like an… theatre act for him. He will drag everyone into it and make sure they experience the whole thing!

Now that she connected to him, the girl understood him… at a deep level…

'Now do you understand? I was serious, wasn't I? I desire to leave monuments through space. To show the true glory of achieving greatness.

Just like how Alexander wanted to see Oceanus.'

Marcus spoke directly to her; it was as if they were connected. Him doing that spooked her, as she closed her eyes and the connection ended.

The girl stumbled a bit before refocusing. She was in shock!

'What was that!?'

"Well? What did you get?" C.C. got closer, wanting to hear what the girl's ability is!
