"There is no need for any demonstrations!" A loud girl's voice stopped Marcus from 'testing' as he looked at a girl dressed in a blue military uniform.
She had long, light-purple hair and was wearing smart glasses. Her disposition passes as a scientist-type quite easily.
"I am Anna Clemont. You've been looking for me, yes?" She walked over, standing in front of the mech.
She was trying to pass as courageous. But her shaky legs gave her fear away.
"Yes. I've been looking for you. You made my girl sad. And I don't like that." Marcus pointed his beam rifle at her.
"...Are you… talking about Leila?" Anna was surprised to hear that he was here because of that!
"...You mean to tell me that you did all this destruction because of that?" She couldn't hide her anger! This guy caused damage in the thousands!
"What else could it possibly be? You never had a boyfriend, now, did you? How can you possibly feel when he would be sad? Well, that is a bit different."
The mech shrugged for a second… It looked hilarious, if not for the fact that they were in danger.
"Girls and boys are a bit different. But my point stands. She is sad, and I am here to fix that."
He holstered his beam rifle; it folded under the wing.
"...J-Just how selfish can you be?! You broke into a top-secret military base!"
"What are you talking about?" He scoffed at her outburst.
"99% of wars waged in history were most of the time… cock measurement competitions." He dropped a crass word reply.
The young girls blushed hearing that, and even Anna blushed at the crass words being used.
"Humanity is inherently selfish. That's a fact, not some ideology. It comes from our biology as we are living, breathing lifeforms; we seek to preserve our lives.
Simple as that. So you're telling me something about selfishness is literally quite silly."
"..." She was a bit speechless and didn't expect to get verbally beaten down for that.
"But. Then again. You are even more selfish." His words caused the entire place to turn silent.
"?"
"W-W-What?" She was surprised!
"That's right. You decided that a thousand, if not a million people dying, is a better choice."
"..." Her eyes were shaking. What is he talking about!?
"You will continue to develop technology for the E.U. You are planning to give them hope, an empty hope that they can resist me. And that is the apex of selfishness.
My technology is already at an interstellar level. I can rain asteroids from space. Can you resist that?"
"..."
"...I didn't mean it like that…"
"Leila asked you to join us, to spare E.U. the suffering of hoping to face the imposible."
"...I-I didn't…"
"...Enough! Just say what you want to say!" The older woman got in front of Anna. As the light-pink-haired girl was having a borderline mental breakdown.
"You again. I do wonder where you get all that fire, woman." Marcus was surprised by how fearless this chick can be.
"Do you enjoy torturing women?"
"No, I enjoy pointing out stupidity regardless of gender."
He replied to her before moving to the next phase.
"Here is my ultimatum: you either join us, or I shall level the entirety of the E.U. military strength.
Euro Britannia will conquer you in a matter of days afterwards."
Everyone gawked at that proclamation.
"A-Are you mad!? You would do that!?"
Marcus didn't reply. Instead, he looked at Anna, who stopped shaking and looked at him with wide eyes.
"...You… F-Fine! I go!"
The girl passed the woman and walked in front of Tiranis, looking at him with wide, innocent eyes.
"B-Boss, you can't! How are we supposed to develop Alexanders without you!?" The girls panicked, their lead designer and engineer is about to be kidnapped!
"That's the thing. You don't." Tiranis' hands went to Anna as he grabbed her before pulling her close and then turning around and blasting through the doors and flying away.
"W-Wait!"
"What the…"
The Wzero team looked gobsmacked to see him just leave!
~~~
Some distance away, close to the Alps, Marcus lowered Anna and got out of the cockpit, and his mech got him down.
The pair were face-to-face for the first time.
Anna's reaction was quite wild as her mouth was wide open from shock. She looked at him as if he were an alien who stole the face of someone she knew.
"Y-You are Marcus Goldman! N-No, this can't be true! You're supposed to be a good person! Who helps maimed and…and…and…"
"..." Marcus stared at her as if she were the silliest thing on the planet.
"I am. And I do make philanthropy." He shook his head.
"Then why do you do all of this…" She is even more confused.
"...Umm… can we drop the whole thing where bad people do bad things and only good guys do good.
You are in the military, your expertise helped the E.U. in killing people more easily." He reminded her of that.
His comment caused her to look away. She wasn't that happy to hear that.
"...I know… and I am not happy about that."
He walked over to her before getting a bit more serious. "I know that you are a bit idealistic, but you must realise that my goal will lead to the unification of the entire planet; this would cause a drop in wars… wars that you dislike, yes."
"...I know. But how many will die in the process?" She asked with narrowed eyes.
"People do not fight something they can't believe is possible to beat." Marcus smiled at her a bit before explaining more.
"My technology is leaps beyond anything you've been developing, and my machines are still Mark 1 and second generation in general.
Yet, they can beat everything the nations have produced." He reminded her of that.
"...I know. Leila already said that." Anna nodded, already heard that.
"Indeed. That is why you will be coming with me. So that Leila could stop being sad. I hate when my girl is like that.
"...You are willing to attack countries because your girl is…sad?" Anna was… a bit touched, still! She was mad at him!
"For all my girls. That is, if they are True, my girls." He sighed while saying that. Now that he thinks about them, he almost got Kallen, but then he had to come here.
"...Girls? As in… numerical?" Anna was a bit… baffled!
"Y-You are not satisfied with one!?" The light-purple-haired scientist girl gawked, getting a bit angry that her best friend was not getting the best treatment!
He shrugged at her.
"I see someone I like, I take it. That includes talented girls. If I see that you are wasting here, I will take you for myself. Like now." Marcus explained to her.
"What if I don't like that?" She challenged him.
"Cute. You are saying the exact same thing as Leila did. You are similar, it's amusing." He laughed before getting serious.
He leaned closer to her and explained in a calm but deadly voice.
"Living in your current society has made you forget that the rules, morals and all that little stuff you expect are made by the weak so that everyone could follow them.
But in the face of absolute power, none of that matters. At least once in your life, read history books and figure out how empires came to be."
"You speak of barbarism…" Anna replied, not liking this one bit.
"Ha, you can call it whatever you want. It doesn't change the fundamental rules of biology. A stronger lifeform will want to dominate a weaker one.
You study bugs, no? Then you already know this, just because we are humans, we are not excluded from that, it's ridiculous to believe that we are not part of it."
"...Yes, I know. I expected better from humanity." She looked away, dissapointed.
"And we are. Your naivete is just too strong."
"...Ugh… how is it my fault?" The scientist got even more annoyed! Now it sounds like it's her fault!
"Because of you, I am here. But, then again, you saved countless lives. E.U. will surrender quicker without you in their ranks." Marcus explained to her as he motioned for her to come with her.
"...Fine… let's go."
Sure enough, the pair walked over and Marcus' machine picked them up.
Anna swiftly realised an issue…
"...Umm… where am I going to sit?" She asked, concerned!
"On my lap, where else?" He got into his seat and motioned for her to come over.
The girl began to blush; this was not in her plans! She won't be sitting on the lap of the person who kidnapped her!
"Get over here." He motioned for her, and the girl struggled before sighing in resignation.
"Your brute behaviour is not attractive."
Marcus chuckled after hearing that.
"They all say that. But it always has the opposite effect."
With a frown, she ended up walking over and sitting down. Marcus adjusted her a bit before taking in her perfume.
"Not bad~."
Anna blushed at him before looking away. In the meantime, the machine got up, shifted into plane mode and rushed into the sky.
The girl looked curious at how fast this machine was moving; it was far faster than anything she had seen to date.
Her eyes slowly widened as she saw the blue skies fade away and turn into darkness.
'W-We left the Earth!'
She began to float slowly, but he grabbed her and held her in place.
"You are not leaving me, darling." He chuckled as he kept her close.
"W-Who are you calling darling!" She snapped out and replied with a deep blush.
"Well, you. I did take you and made you mine."
"...Barbarian!" That's the only thing she could say, but her heartbeat got erratic. Someone calling her 'his' had a strange effect on her!
"Indeed, and princess love their barbarians." He nonchalantly replied.
"...A-As if!"
"Your brain can say one thing, but your body thinks otherwise," Marcus replied as the holograms around them shifted. He checked the navigation; it would seem the OS is an older version. The new navigation settings are not there yet.
'The plane should be back at the workshop.'
'I really should make a satellite network of my own.'
"...only in your head!"
"Darling, you are my fifth catch; you all had a similar response. Even a naive and pure boy would see patterns."
His reply caused her to blush further, not knowing how to respond to that.
"...Hmph, I want to see how you can manage all of that." She puffed her cheeks, all of a sudden she accepted that, but now it's switched, how can he manage all of them!
'Women.'
Marcus internally shook his head. Thankfully for his Eidetic Memory, he can overanalyse them!
"We shall see. Depends on you, ladies."
"...We shall see, you might have technology to back you, but that can change." She tried to warn him.
But his reply made her shut up.
"Indeed, in future you will he even more dependent on my tech."
As he said that the mech changed directions and began to fly towards Britannia, he passed it not long after, and it was the Pacific Ocean as he slowly began reentry sequences and began targeting East Asia and the coastline where Japan is situated.
Before long, Tiranis began the entry, turning into a blazing fireball.
Anna became clingy as she realised what was happening. It was a bit scary for her! Not that Marcus said a thing. He doesn't mind this clinginess.
After a few moments, the mobile suit successfully entered the atmosphere and then began to descend towards Japan.
"...You mean to tell me you are hiding these machines in Japan… In mean Area 11?"
"Japan is fine. I grew up here to some extent, love the people and culture." He replied, enjoying the hugging he was getting.
The girl didn't even realise how close she was holding him.
All the way to them arriving in the workshop… only then did she realise that she was hugging her kidnapper!
'This is so embarrassing!!!'
