Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: Taking Princess from her 'Castle'

~~~~~~Next Day~~~~~~
In the Government building, the 3rd Princess was pondering on her disguise.
Euphemia looked at the hats and the glasses.
"This is so difficult." She commented on the selection. The bigger the selection, the harder it was.
"Thankfully, I have something for you."
A familiar voice said from the direction of the doors.
Euphemia's eyes perked up when she heard his voice.
"Lulu!" The Princess glided to his side and hugged him.
The Prince patted her head, making her giggle, as she pulled back and wondered how he had infiltrated the building!
"How did…"
He placed his finger on her lips.
"Don't~ that's my secret. Now for the disguise." He pulled out a small box and opened it.
"Contact lenses and…a hairpin?" She inspected the contents of the box.
"The contact lenses change the colour of your eyes. It makes your eyes bright ocean blue, giving a striking look. While the hairpin…" He took it out and placed it on her hair.
"Hmm?" A strange feeling washed over her as she needed to inspect her hair.
The girl walked over and inspected herself in the mirror.
*Gasp*
"My hair…blonde?"
It wasn't full-on blonde, but strands of blonde hair. It's like she has dyed her hair—something one would never expect from a Britannian Princess.
"Indeed. I make you look not a Britannian Princess." He chuckled while commenting on her transformation.
"...But how?"
"Optical illusion." He replied while taking a strand of her new blond hair. The moment he took it from her, her hair returned to its pink colour.
"...oh…"
"Regardless, with this, your disguise is complete." He nodded to himself.
"To improve on the disguise, change your hairstyle." Marcus looked at her drills.
"And of course no princess dresses." The Prince looked at her dress.
"I know that!" Euphemia pouted as she felt offended! She knows that much!
"Alright, alright." He motioned to calm down.
"Anyway, change your clothes, we are going for a trip." He winked at her before starting to walk towards the doors.
"...Y-You are coming with me to Lake Kawaguchi?" She looked surprised.
"Not just me, but my student council as well. We are going together."
"...But…" She was confused.
"Don't worry, you will pass as my half-sister from the homeland." He smiled while saying that.
"...Ok."
She didn't argue. This was a bit wild, wasn't she, Sub-Viceroy? He completely disregarded that in all of these situations!
Not that she is telling him that.
"...And Cornelia?"
"I am here because of her." He smirked at that.
"She told me to take care of you." There was an amused look in his eyes.
The girl immediately deadpanned at him.
"Of course she would do that."
With a sigh, she grabbed the first casual-looking clothes and went to change.
By this point, she no longer cared; all she wanted was to start the trip!
~~~

"I know this might sound strange… but how are we going to leave? I am Sub-Viceroy, and you are supposed to be dead." Euphemia had a valid point.

But it was extremely simple… as they walked out through the main doors!

Every single guard and soldier acted like it was the most normal thing to do in the world!

A.k.a… leading Sub-Viceroy through the doors.

"...Umm…"

"These are my guys. The bulk of soldiers who don't know me left with Cornelia; those are her men. These are my men."

He smirked as every single soldier and guard had this purist pin on their chests. Signifying their allegiance to him.

"Oh…" At that moment, she realised that Marcus' presence in Area 11 was significant!

Regardless, they went to his bike and he handed over to her one of the helmets.

Euphemia looked at the helmet.

"..."

"What? Don't know how to use it?" He asked with an amused tone.

The girl gave him a death stare.

"Isn't it obvious?" She slightly narrowed her eyes. The 3rd Princess doesn't appreciate that tone!

"Alright, alright, let me spoil you further." He took the helmet from her and gently placed it on her head, fixing it in place. He then put his and got on the bike.

"Get on and hold on to me."

"...Hold?" She wasn't certain.

"Hug, you like those." Marcus clarified to her.

"Oh…"

All of a sudden, she was very interested in this mode of transportation.

Once on the bike, she hugged his back, and the Prince drove out of the Government's massive yard.

The guards, the soldiers… all of them pretended that this was normal…

~~~
At the railway station, the Princess looked around. This was the first time in her life that she was in such a public place. Her eyes were on all of the shops.
Cafe shops, magazine stores, and small markets.
Marcus was surprised by how big the railway station was.
Honestly, he was a bumpkin in this regard as well. Wasn't Tokyo Settlement the biggest city in Area 11? Where could these trains go?
Sure enough, he realised that there are at least 24 platforms of extremely fast trains.
'Hokkaido… there is a bridge connecting the islands?'
'Wasn't the next anime in Hokkaido?'
He recalled something; it was supposed to be an anime with Lelouch's niece, nine years from now.
'Oh well.'
"...There are so many stores here… do they even buy in here…" Euphemia commented as she looked at the busy stores. It already answered her question, but at the same time, she wondered how this works.
Sure enough… she learned how this works, for one, people wait for their train! That's SO different from how she used to travel!
If they wait, then they have time to buy food or drinks, maybe a magazine or newspaper to read.
"Marcus!"
The pair looked at the trio of girls walking over. It was Milly, Shirley and grumpy-looking Nina.
But that grumpiness was gone the moment she saw Marcus. A beautiful smile appeared on her lips.
"Girls, you are finally here." The Inventor Prince greeted them before taking a sip of his ice-cold tea.
"Yep!" The blonde nodded before looking at the other person standing next to Marcus. She had the same plastic cup as he had, only a different colour of tea.
"...And you are?"
"That's my half-sister from the homeland, she is here to see the expo with me." Marcus smoothly introduced their Sub-Viceroy…
"Hello everyone, I am Euphie." The girl waved her hand in a friendly manner. She was a bit nervous! This is, after all, what she is spending time with regular girls!
Milly's eyes gleamed; she already knew who this girl was. Nina, who recently learned that her saviour is an actual prince in shining armour, also had this look, almost stumbling and announcing that the girl before them was a Princess.
"Oh, hello! I am Shirley. Nice to meet you." The only one who was clueless was Shirley, as she acted like she had just met a friend's relative.
"Nice to meet you too!" Euphemia smiled and didn't expect such friendliness from the very beginning.
"These are my fellow Student Council Members, Milly Asford, the President and Nina Einstein, our tech wizard," Marcus explained, making the pair a bit amused by how smoothly he is acting.
"Nice to meet you, Euphie!" Milly glided over to her side.
"We're going to have so much fun this weekend! Talking about girl stuff!" The blonde president decided to have some fun as she took Euphemia's hand and began to drag her towards the benches as they were waiting for the train.
"Ummm…" the Sub-Viceroy looked at Marcus for help.
"It's okay~ I don't bite…much." The blonde showed her a grin.
"President, you can't just take her away like that!" Shirley swiftly went to help as she saw Euphemia struggling with this attention, as she didn't know how to behave around this menace.
"Doesn't she know this girl is the Princess of Britannia and our Sub-Viceroy?" Nina questioned, her voice was soft as she was standing next to Marcus.
"She is Milly Ashford… stuff like that doesn't mean much to her." Marcus joked, making Nina grimace. It doesn't make sense. How can Milly be that bold!
"...all it takes for the Princess to snap, and we will have a big mess." The nerdy girl reminded him.
"That's the thing. We are talking about Euphemia." The Prince shook his head. This Princess was Euphemia; she wants this kind of… normal attention.
"She wants normal stuff. That's why I brought her here. This is me, her big brother, fulfilling her wishes." He explained to his fellow scientist.
"...I see… since you know what you're doing, I won't complain." Nina shook her head before she pouted at him.
"I am more annoyed that you told me to come here! I could have continued with my development and research!" The green-haired girl puffed even more.
"Relax, we can spend some time together."
"..."
Her annoyance evaporated in an instant.
"I-I see! Then you should have said so from the very beginning!" Nina tried to explain herself, now that she knows the purpose of this trip.
"It should have been obvious." He winked at her. His actions nearly caused the poor girl to pass out!
"I-It's not!"
"Well, not it is." He patted her head, causing her to nearly melt.
"...Ugh…"
She tried to calm herself, but it's hard!
Euphemia noticed their interaction. She realised that he had more girls than she had initially thought.
'Even these science-type ones can't escape him.' The 3rd Princess realised how smooth her brother is.
It was even scarier how similar he was to the Emperor, who has a massive harem.
Eventually, the train arrived; it was a white one that looked very similar to a bullet train with that long nose to pierce the sound barrier.
Honestly, with Sakuradite in such wide use, Marcus wondered how fast he could make Maglevs.
'What a scary thought.'
If he is to make them in tubes with no air resistance inside.
'We could be talking something close to 700 to 900 KMs…'
'...No, it could be even more. If I am to bypass the heatsink.'
He began to hum…
'Yes, I could do some tests… maybe on the moon once the infrastructure is in place.'
"Let's go! To the VIP carriage!" Milly dragged Euphemia, Shirley followed, only Nina stuck around as she helped Marcus with luggage…
"Can't believe they left this stuff for you." The nerdy girl complained. That President is asking for it!
"Relax, it's the holidays." He smirked; the smirk told her that he was planning something.
"I know. But the President is abusing this situation."
"That's her telling me to pay more attention to her." He explained after placing the bags in the storage area.
VIP's don't have luggage areas above their heads like regular carriages.
Once that was done, they went where the three girls were sitting.
Once Marcus sat down, Euphemia scrambled to sit next to him.
"..."
Nina's eyebrows twitched as she sat down on his other side.
Thankfully, they have a considerable amount of space.
The seats were like those in a cinema's VIP section. They are wide and can accommodate drinks in specially designed holders.
"So now that we are on the train, let's talk plans! Activities." The Council President said with an excited face.
"Hn." Marcus leaned into his seat and closed his eyes.
"Do that. I am going to chill until we arrive. It has been a long day." He commented while enjoying his new seating arrangements.
"Hmph! Then don't complain when we do something you don't like!" Milly replied with a puff.
"Hn."
This girl crossed her arms while looking at Euphemia and Nina, who were looking at relaxing Marcus.
"Why don't we just relax and enjoy the trip?" Shirley nervously tried to find a common ground.
However, Marcus' relaxation didn't last long as Nina pulled out her laptop and began to code something.
The ever-curious Inventor Prince swiftly opened his eyes and looked at what she was doing.
"Oh my…" He perked up as he leaned towards her and looked at what she was doing.
"This is an interesting model."
His praising voice caused her to blush.
"I-It's nothing that great. Just something to make creation of THOSE a bit easier." The nerdy girl fiddled with her sleeves while saying that.
