"Why so specific? How can it be 11 thousand or 12 thousand years?" Leila asked, confused a bit at such a revelation.
It's like someone decided that humanity needs to suffer every 12 thousand years.
"I don't have specifics. But I can tell that gravity is part of it." Marcus commented as he looked at the arches.
"Gravity?"
"Yes. You see, our Earth's rotation around the sun is not perfect. That means that other planets don't have ideal rotation either; some of these worlds can have cycles that are closer or farther from us.
If you have noticed before, there is a certain large world that rotates around our solar system." He turned towards them, making them guess.
"...Jupiter?" Leila knew a bit about this specific enormous Gas Giant.
"Indeed. That planet is big, and it's big enough to impact how we spin on the axis. And that alone can impact our ice age and could potentially impact the volcanic activity."
"...And the meteorites?" Kallen asked, curious.
"Jupiter is the vacuum cleaner of the Solar System. So yeah. It does its work for free." Marcus smiled while saying that.
"I doubt it's free, like you said, this big blob of gas tortures us with ice and stuff," Kallen complained while huffing.
"Regardless, what are we going to do about the world's ending?" She asked, curious. This is not something she can just blow up with her Dagda.
"Nothing, I already solved the world's ending." He eye rolled before looking around. He looked for more carvings on the pyramid steps.
"...You did?"
"Yes. Meteorites, we can deal with them. We already have 5 SWORD stations and a satellite network watching for big rocks.
The Ice Age is a bit tricky, but we can adjust to CO2 emissions. The only thing that we can't do at the moment is Volcanoes.
But that is solvable with upcoming technology in Generation 3 Fusion Reactors." He explained to her.
"...Generation 3? You mean gravity technology?" Leila sounded relieved as she was like Kallen, nervous to a considerable degree about the visions and the scary stuff Marcus just told them.
"Yes. If there is a lot of ash in the cloud, we will be able to extract it. " He explained, making all of them relieved.
"...So we are all set!" Kallen exclaimed happily, making Marcus roll his eyes again at them.
"Why do you think I made all of these preparations?" She scoffed a bit.
"I already knew we had these waiting for us. It was only a matter of time. It could have been now or 10 thousand years in the future. I would be prepared for apocalyptic situations." He shook his head. Part of him could believe they were worried about that!
"...To think that you are prepared for such things." Leila had no idea what to think; she was relieved and concerned that he was thinking THAT ahead.
"...Since this is the case." C.C. looked around. She realised that this was a reverse situation…
Instead of them worrying about the world ending… the people who live on the other side of these arches should be concerned because Marcus is most likely thinking of bringing 'peace' to their worlds.
"You are thinking of activating these arches and invading these foreign worlds. I am right?" The witch commented on what she was thinking.
"Peace has to be achieved. Besides, I do wonder what these worlds look like." He didn't deny that he is already thinking of conquering those worlds regardless of how they look!
"...Shouldn't we first focus on our world…then think about what is behind these arches? Besides, can they even work? It should have been thousands of years since they were used. Who knows what is on the other side as we speak?" Leila sighed. She had this feeling that this was what Marcus thought.
Thankfully, there are hurdles before them, and they can't wage war on two fronts!
"Precisely, my beautiful girlfriend. You are indeed right." He admitted, but the way he called the blonde caused her to blush heavily! Thankfully, she was wearing a face mask and goggles; no one saw how hard she blushed.
"But this is a treasure trove for research! Imagine if we could master their methods of building! In space, we could magnify the scale to absurd levels! Colonisation, terraforming, it would become far easier!" Marcus began to speak with excitement like a small child who had just discovered what a sandbox is!
"..."
"...I see your point. But we still need to win the wars." Leila reminded him that they have an open conflict with the E.U. and Britannia. Though they shattered the Chinese Federation in a day, so… depends.
"I know. That is why, Gundams exist." He smirked as he already approved of the wider use of Gundams when he discovered the Ice City.
He can't focus on two things at once. So, might as well unleash his G-Force on them while he takes his time in the South Pole.
"...You send them somewhere?" Leila asked, but she didn't see any missions…
"I sent one before we left to explore." He smiled

Five meteors entered the orbit above Indochina as they rushed towards the military bases of the rebels, who refused to surrender to superior Anaheim forces.
Instead of wasting Setantas, five specific machines were unleashed.
"Approach target Alpha. According to preliminary sources, this is a research facility for experimental weapons.
They have ties to Britannia." Jeremiah said to the four pilots.
"Here? But this was the heart of the Chinese Federation…" Suzaku was surprised.
"Prince Schneizel is influential enough to buy entire research facilities in enemy territories," Villieta said as they prepared for planetary entry as the machines began to catch fire.
The cockpits began to shake for a few moments before they entered the atmosphere.
"We are going to split up. Villetta, you shall infiltrate the base. The rest of us shall destroy their knightmares and military installations."
Jeremiah instructed as the machines split up and began to attack, while one of them disappeared into thin air.
The mechs did a quick job of the stationed Sutherlands and Gun-Rus. It was a clear sign that two forces were working on one thing in this place.
Schneizel was getting quite close to the Chinese Federation.
Not that this matters, as soon enough, they cleared all of the opposition while Blitz Gundam got inside the facilities and began to hack the computers in the base.
"There isn't much here. My Lord. These computers were programmed to self-delete if anyone tried to hack." Blitz's Pilot explained. She looked dissatisfied that she didn't find anything.
"It's fine. We didn't have much hope anyway; our primary objective is to waste on the opposition and lessen the burden for Princess Cornelia."
Sure enough, the five Gundams split up and began to lay waste behind the frontlines.
The moment Anaheim forces learned that the enemy military bases were destroyed, they moved in to claim them.
In a matter of a few short days, the whole of Indochina has fallen to Anaheim.
No amount of tropical forests could assist the rebels, as Gundams and Setantas were immune to basic, primitive weapons.
So, rocket launchers or land mines were useless in their guerrilla tactics. The mech's were like an indestructible force that claimed city by city, base by base, until Anaheim had borders with India.
Now…India had borders with Anaheim in the North and East. And South if one is counting the Sea.

"Cambodia has fallen, My Prince. We have lost the research facility there."
Schneizel got informed in a matter of hours when his research facility was taken in Cambodia.
"...It doesn't matter. That project wasn't going anywhere anyway. Floating fortresses are an easy target for these Mobile Suits." The blonde prince complained. He thought he had something there. But the concept lacked a crucial ingredient.
He didn't have a decent weapon for this Damocles…
Like those beam cannons from space… now that's a weapon he wouldn't mind adding to his collection.
'I do wonder why Lelouch is not threatening us with that thing.'
The Prince is a bit concerned; from the photos and notes left behind by scientists and astrophysicists, he knows that these beams can theoretically hit anywhere they want on the planet.
The satellites around the planet are like a net they are in.
'And it means he is watching us from space. I never considered such a thing until I saw this myself.'
Schneizel is a bit concerned about how many advantages space gives to his little brother.
It's something he never considered before, so now he is paying for it.
From orbital strikes to orbital descents… to the space industry. Anaheim is expanding at an enormous pace.
In chess terms… It's like Lelouch is summoning extra pieces to the table.
How is he supposed to win against that?
That is why he is trying to acquire Anaheim technology.
The next operation is going to be a key one.
At the moment, they have an advantage with airships. So they will use them to assault one of the military bases that has batteries and other essential Anaheim technology related to Setanta's creation.
"Instead, reroute all the resources for Central Asia." Schneizel pointed at the map.
"We can launch a surprise attack here. Anaheim barely has anything past the Taklamakan Desert."
"So are we. To prepare a mission in such a location. It would take a considerable amount of time. Not to mention his satellites are always watching us…
And our satellites are destroyed the moment Anaheim went for the skies." His Assistant Kanon commented on that.
"I know. That is why we have been moving resources slowly for this.
Trains, ships, deliveries —we even track the windows when the satellite passes specific areas. While the ability to observe from space is considerable, it's not perfect." The prince smiled as he showed the plan.
"We reused old Russian submarines that were stationed in the Caspian Sea to launch missiles. There will be several faint attacks before we reveal our hand.
The desert requires specific types of machines. Even if Setanta is incredible, it's not that good in a desert."
The prince sighed before getting serious.
"Though… most of my ideas are speculations. I simply have no idea how well these machines perform in desert or sandstorm conditions.
We simply have no idea. And we are running out of time."
Schneizel looked at the map. Now that Indochina is under Anaheim's control. India is next… the recently independent nation doesn't have the means to oppose the space-faring super nation.
It won't last that long.
And once that nation falls, Euro Britannia is next, and hyper-expansion will start.
China, Indochina, Indonesia, and India…once all of them combined, Lelouch has the largest amount of people on the planet.
With Manpower secured, the space industry in place, and a general space advantage… his little brother has all the cards to overrun the world…
That is why Schneizel is betting everything on this assault on the remote military outpost in the Taklamakan Desert.
There is not much he could… apart from surrendering, that is something he won't do… not yet at least.
Moments later, one of the comms units began to beep.
"...My Prince, the Emperor."
'Now that your Empire is under such a threat, you decided to be an Emperor… damn you, father.' Schneizel frowned for a second.
"Patch him through Kanon."
"Schneizel, I have acquired talented people who will assist you in the next operation. Use them wisely."
The Emperor appeared on the huge screen as he got right to the point.
"...I see… I will use them wisely."
"You'd better, because we are running out of time."
The prince internally snorted. This old man forgot that the technology Anaheim is using is something he never even dreamed of.
Finding out their spies in the Chinese Federation was not hard for something like hyper-advanced artificial intelligence. Most of them were already dead before anything could have been leaked.
It's like Lelouch is twenty steps ahead for every single one Britannia take.
With that in mind, he saw the pictures of two people who had just been inducted into the military.
One of them was a purple-haired girl, and the other was a skinny, brown-haired boy.
These were, at best, young-looking teenagers!
'What is he thinking? What they can do!?'
