I watched as Wallace's eyes swept over the message she'd received from Evelin before shifting to me, her expression giving nothing away.
"What's eating at you?"
"What if there's some hereditary condition running through the bloodline?" I questioned.
Wallace's eyebrow arched. "Jimmy, you're clean genetically. If there was anything wrong, believe me, I'd have spotted it first."

My mouth formed a tight line, and I decided against further discussion.
Whatever my father had revealed still needed verification—I wouldn't accept it as truth until I'd dispatched someone to uncover the facts.
"Can you get me male contraceptives?" I requested.
