Evelin's POV
"Genius?" I sneered. "You call someone a genius when they get completely wrecked by a bunch of hackers? If that's all it takes, then geniuses must be a dime a dozen."
Adeline's face darkened even further. That night had been beyond humiliating for her.
"Who are you anyway, just some outsider, acting like you've got something to say? You really think that just because Uncle accepted you, you can start calling the shots at Thor Group?" Adeline snapped, her words tumbling out in fury.
But suddenly, she seemed to notice that all the employees who'd been watching were now staring at something directly behind her.
Even I, who'd been facing her, was now looking past Adeline, my eyes fixed on whatever was happening behind her.
Dread washed over Adeline's features.
"An outsider?" Gregory's voice suddenly boomed. "Evelin may not share my surname, but as long as she's my niece, she's my true heir! Half of the company shares I hold will one day belong to her!"
