As expected Maxwell and Peem argued back and forth not able to reach a conclusion about the drug.Peem naturally never intended to help Maxwell plus the fact that the person calling the shorts (Ricky ) said it wasn't time yet to release the drug to Maxwell.Ricky owns half the shares in Peem's company (KB group),he was the sole investor in the holdings,he was also the the one who decided the name of the group using he and Maxwell's surnames ( Kant and Brown),so automatically Peem has to listen to him.
"Mr Ronald" Maxwell said. "How much do you need to be able to agree to my deal?

"Come on,its always an honor to do business with you" he paused scrutinizing Maxwell. "Are you using our popular pheromone perfume,Drunken Branch?"
Maxwell smirked
"Oh,I'm so forgetful.You are an S-class Alpha just like me,why would you use our pheromone perfume? I've heard it, your pheromone scent smells exactly like our drunken branch perfume" Peem only meant to make mockery of Maxwell.Ricky was the one who commanded to have Maxwell's pheromone scent made into Perfumes and toilet wash just so he could smell him,Ricky was madly into Maxwell.
Maxwell smiled mischievously. "That means I'm fated with KB group"
"Yes.if there is no fate,why would we sit together to chat in my office?" a mocking smile was playing at the corner of Peem's lips.
"Since its fate I'll cut the chase and stop going around in circles" Maxwell started. Kant pharmaceutical is very interested in the targeted drug research KB has" he leaned closer to Peem. "Kant pharmaceutical is ready to purchase fifty percent shares of KB.The premise is that you have to share the results of the targeted drug--"
"Mr Kant" Peem interrupted. "The current society is very impatient.Many people call themselves entrepreneurs,yet they manage companies like they are raising pigs,fattening them up to sell them everywhere thinking of only cashing out" He allowed his explanation to sink in by pausing briefly. "But I founded KB singlehandedly,I'm raising it like my own son,I love it deeply,I never thought of selling our shares or our core technology--"
"Three billion" Maxwell was desperate ."Mr Ronald,I'm a straightforward person"
"No one would betray their son just for money" Peem mused.
"Three and the half billion" Maxwell offered again. "Many people don't sell their sons not because they don't want to sell them but because the buyer is not sincere enough and the price is not high enough"
Peem chuckled. "Mr Kant is really sincere.Thank you for your appreciation but unfortunately I'm not short of money.I'm afraid I'll have to let you down.
Maxwell gazed at Peem coldly. "Even Thirty-five billion can't convince you?" He paused to get some reaction but none came from the man sitting opposite him. "It seems the rumors are true,your family background is really unfathomable"
"But it can never be compared to how rich and generous Kant holding is,thirty-five billion without batting an eyelid,how generous" Peem mocked.
"Of course,its because KB Group is worth it.To be honest,I'm determined to get the targeted drug's research outcomes.A gentleman helps others with their wishes.Since Mr Ronald doesn't want to give up the shares,please consider selling the targeted drug project.We are willing to continue investing with you to speed up the clinical trial of the medicine so that the targeted drug can be sold in the market as soon as possible and benefit more patients.I want to make friends with you but that depends on how highly you think if us Kant pharmaceutical" Maxwell persisted.
"Damn, he's so persistent" Peem thought.
"When I get the core technology of the targeted drug,let alone thirty-five billion,I wouldn't give you even three hundred and fifty bucks" Maxwell thought.
They both stared at each other tension hanging in the air.
"I do feel a connection between us" Peem started to say and Maxwell faked a bright smile his handsome face beaming. "I'm sure we can be good friends.However,let's forget about the collaboration"
Maxwell's smile disappeared instantly. "Why? Does KB look down on us Kant pharmaceutical?"
"Of course not" Peem answered. "Its just the patent of the targeted medicine is our core asset.Even brothers would separate their assets.Although I want to make friends with you,I can't sell our core technology just for this"
Maxwell gave up,starting to botton his suit."I understand what you mean,it seems the fate between Kant pharmaceutical and KB group isn't quite there yet,we have to build it up.In that case,I won't bother you.Mr Ronald let's talk another day" he smiled wickedly.
