If they were a few years younger, even with work the next day they could still party until dawn, sleep an hour, then drag themselves off to class or to work.
Mei still remembered back in middle school, hiding under the blanket in the middle of the night to binge a horror manga. It was so scary she didn't dare sleep until she finished it, so she read straight through to six in the morning, slept half an hour, then got up for breakfast and went to school. The next day she was still full of energy.
Back then she thought, even if her stamina wasn't great, at least her mental strength was. Compared to now, it was way better.
These days if she didn't get a full eight hours of sleep, she felt like her soul had left her body.
