Side Chapter — The Promise of a Dream

The stage lights blaze with white fire, casting long shadows across the studio.

Rows of seats stretch forward, filled with people waiting—eyes fixed on the young boy seated at the center.

Camera lenses glimmer like countless watchful eyes, broadcasting this moment to every home across the nation.

A journalist steps forward, microphone in hand, his voice steady but laced with curiosity.

Journalist:

"Why are you doing all of this, author Kaito Renzo?"

Kaito lifts his gaze.

The lights reflect in his eyes—determination burning quietly, yet fiercely.

Kaito:

"I want my words to reach every corner of the world… and every person here will witness what I'm about to say."

The audience leans closer. Murmurs ripple through the hall.

Journalist:

"And what is it that you want to say?"

Kaito inhales, then speaks with a voice that echoes across the entire room.

Kaito:

"I want to become the greatest author… and I will stand against every obstacle that blocks my path.

I will not back down—no matter the price."

Whispers stir among the audience.

Audience Member 1:

"Others said the same things before… and all we saw was their surrender."

Audience Member 2:

"No matter how strong someone sounds, they always stay the same."

Audience Member 3 (laughing):

"He says he'll never give up? Yeah, right."

Kaito closes his eyes briefly—then speaks louder, stronger, cutting through every doubt.

Kaito:

"Does the blind equal the sighted?

Do the heavens equal the earth?

Does the weak equal the strong?"

Random Audience Member:

"Of course not."

Kaito points lightly toward the crowd.

Kaito:

"Then I am nothing like those who surrendered and abandoned their dreams."

Silence sweeps across the hall.

Every heartbeat echoes.

He shifts his gaze toward the main camera—toward the millions watching.

Kaito:

"I thank everyone who watched this broadcast, and I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

And I have a message… for every single person watching."

The journalist leans in.

Journalist:

"And what is your message?"

Kaito's expression hardens with conviction.

Kaito:

"To everyone who has a dream but doesn't believe in themselves…

To everyone who feels embarrassed to share their dream with friends or family…

To everyone who treats their dream like a simple hobby…

To everyone who thinks my words are a joke or something to mock—

Listen.

I am Kaito Renzo…

And I am not ashamed to say that my dream is to surpass every successful author in history,

and to spread the name of my anime and novel The Dark Smile across the entire world.

My beginning may be weak—but I am improving every day.

My talent wasn't handed to me.

It came from effort."

The audience begins to sweat.

The journalist hurriedly writes down notes.

Journalist:

"Alright… then can you tell us how your journey began?"

Kaito:

"My journey began in 2023. I watched anime for fun at first. Just entertainment.

But in 2024, something changed.

I was inspired—by determination, by courage, by the meaning of friendship, sacrifice, and humanity.

I began imagining myself inside those worlds.

By 2025, my dream became clear:

to become a successful author.

So I began writing small chapters, improving slowly… and now I write chapters at this level—even though I'm only fifteen.

I've faced obstacles, but I overcame them."

Journalist:

"And how do you expect the world to see your anime when you're only writing text chapters for now?"

Kaito:

"It's true—I write text for now.

But that doesn't mean my journey stops here.

I'm still fifteen.

I can still grow, learn to draw, and turn my chapters into a manga someday.

It's only a matter of time."

Journalist:

"And once you can draw… how will you begin your journey? Where will you start?"

Kaito smiles with passion.

Kaito:

"I'll begin with love—love for creating characters, battles, and emotional moments.

I'll learn Japanese.

I'll go to Japan.

And I will spread my name, my anime, and the name of my country."

The journalist raises his eyebrows.

Journalist:

"That's beautiful.

Any last words? We're about to end the broadcast."

Kaito nods.

Kaito:

"I'll say it again:

I am proud to follow my dream.

Anyone who doesn't believe they can achieve their own dream… has a weak will.

If you want something to become real, you must keep going—continue, continue, and continue until you obtain it.

And finally… if you have any questions, don't hesitate.

Leave your comments.

This was Kaito Renzo—

the boy who aims to become the greatest writer in history."

The journalist turns toward the camera with a professional smile.

Journalist:

"Stay tuned for more interviews with author Kaito Renzo."

The audience breaks into applause.

The broadcast ends.
