Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 The Dead Can't Speak

"Tina~ I'm so bored~"

After getting familiar, Esdeath lay in Tina's arms at the bow of the ship, acting spoiled.

Even with accurate information, pirates aren't stationary; most of the time, they'd miss their targets.

That's why, after a whole week out, with supplies replenished twice, she had only encountered pirates twice.

One of those times was a pirate who had just set sail after getting his ship ready; he was thoroughly beaten by a bored Esdeath until he swore he'd never be a pirate again, and only then did she stop.

At such a young age, you want to be a pirate? Isn't the Marine good? They even have a proper system.

"Even if you say that, Tina can't do anything."

Stroking Esdeath's hair, Tina also felt helpless.

As for Esdeath's spoiled behavior, let alone her, even the accompanying Marine soldiers had grown accustomed to it.

Sailing the Grand Line for two or three days, besides the ever-changing weather, they hadn't encountered any pirates.

This isn't what you imagined!

Buruburuburu!

Suddenly, the Den Den Mushi rang, and an excited Esdeath picked it up.

"What's wrong? Is there news of pirates?"

"Esdeath, you only think about pirates!"

The Den Den Mushi's appearance had transformed into an afro, and it even made a vivid angry expression.

"Tch, then what is it? Let me say this first, I'm not doing any protection missions."

She didn't want to do protection missions; they were exhausting, thankless tasks.

"However, this time it is indeed pirates. About a hundred nautical miles east of your position, a merchant ship has been attacked."

"Alright, I'm going now!"

Before Sengoku could finish speaking, Esdeath hung up the phone and rushed to the deck, shouting.

"Hard a' starboard, my lads, there's a fight to be had!"

"Yes!"

All the female soldiers perked up; finally, there was a battle to fight!

"Finally…"

The Marine battleship, moving at full speed, was still quite fast, and it finally reached the robbed merchant ship, which was now somewhat dilapidated.

"My lads, let's go!"

Bellamy watched the rapidly approaching warship in the distance and was about to leave, after all, he was still a pirate who had only recently started out.

He was currently undergoing Doflamingo's test; as long as he passed, he would become Doflamingo's family!

"Oh?"

Looking at the flag of the pirate robbing the merchant ship, it was unexpectedly Bellamy from the original story.

"How interesting."

Esdeath leaped up and shouted back over her shoulder, "Tina, follow me!"

A passage appeared on the water, wide enough for two people to pass, extending all the way to Bellamy's pirate ship.

"Bellamy, that person isn't an Admiral, is she?!"

Sarquiss looked at the frozen sea with fear on his face; if it were an Admiral, they probably wouldn't even have a chance to escape.

"It shouldn't be!"

He looked seriously at the person emerging from the ice; from his eyesight, it seemed to be a woman.

Whoosh!

With a backflip, she appeared on Bellamy's pirate ship.

"It's good that she's not an Admiral."

Bellamy relaxed, looking at Esdeath in front of him; by her attire, she seemed to be a Colonel.

"Bellamy, it's a Colonel."

Swallowing, Sarquiss looked at Esdeath with some concern; although she looked like a Colonel, she actually had ice powers.

"What are you panicking about? It's not like we haven't defeated Colonels before."

After reprimanding Sarquiss, Bellamy took off his sunglasses and looked at Esdeath, his gaze somewhat hostile.

Whoosh!

Tina's figure followed closely behind, wearing gloves on her hands, and exhaled a smoke ring; she had been so bored these past two days.

"Tina wants to fight too; this time, Esdeath, don't finish them off so quickly."

Just as Esdeath was about to speak, a pot-bellied man on the adjacent merchant ship let out a disgusting sound.

"Marine! I am a noble from Jaya Island! I order you to retrieve my treasures!"

"I'm telling you, I'm a subordinate of a Celestial Dragons-sama! Don't you dare be ungrateful!"

The man looked towards the pirate ship; it was actually a female Marine Colonel.

And she was so beautiful; if he offered her to Celestial Dragons-sama, wouldn't that be a great achievement for him?

"Damn noble."

A woman with short purple hair looked at the noble who had spoken with disgust, then shook her head in disappointment.

It seemed her phantom thief operation this time had failed.

Swish swish swish!

Several ice lances directly pierced the pot-bellied man's stomach and neck; his eyes were filled with disbelief, and even the lust in them had not dissipated.

"How dare she!"

Carina covered her mouth, forcing herself not to make a sound; she actually dared to directly kill a noble under a Celestial Dragon, truly audacious.

Her gaze shifted to the pirate ship.

A woman in a white uniform, with a cloak of justice draped over her, and the cloak was flapping fiercely in the sea breeze.

It seemed as if her action just now was merely a casual gesture, without any concern whatsoever.

"You dirtied my ice."

She didn't even glance at the man. Celestial Dragon?

What kind of brat is that?

"Esdeath!"

Tina looked at the scene with some worry; besides the pirates, no one had seen it, which was good.

Only this one noble had come out of the ship's cabin; everyone else had huddled in the cabin and on the other side of the deck.

Her own Marines hadn't come over either, which made her sigh in relief.

"You're too reckless; Tina was scared by you."

She patted her chest, and her two mounds bounced twice in response.

"Hahaha, what are you worried about? There are no witnesses. Dead men tell no tales."

If becoming stronger doesn't allow one to act as they please, then what's the point of becoming stronger? Wouldn't it be meaningless?

Nobles?

Except for a very few exceptions, nobles were nothing more than lower-class Celestial Dragons, without the power of the Celestial Dragons, yet wanting to possess their rights.

Wishful thinking!

Everyone on Bellamy's side was shocked; this was truly the Marine, killing people without a word!

Although they had also killed many people, this was the first time they had seen a Marine kill so mercilessly and without hesitation.

"Would you mind dying?"

She had originally intended to let Bellamy go, break his legs and let him live, as long as he couldn't do evil.

She didn't expect that he would witness her killing someone.

"Black Spear Formation!"

Instantly, countless iron railings appeared on the ground, piercing the unprepared Bellamy and his crew.

"Aren't you afraid we'll report you?!"

Looking at Tina, who showed no concern whatsoever, Bellamy couldn't help but remind her.

"I told you, dead men tell no tales."

A military knife slashed across Bellamy's throat.

He reached out to touch his neck, and a gush of warm blood flowed out; he had actually been instantly killed, a single sword to the throat!

He hadn't even become Doflamingo's family yet, and he hadn't even used his Spring-Spring Fruit ability!

"Bellamy!"
