Two hellish forces clashed.
The ring of steel echoed through the hall.
Both wore devilish grins.
Yagami threw a punch; the Lord caught it,
then delivered a lightning-fast kick to his stomach, hurling him into the wall.
Dust and debris filled the air.
Yagami laughed through the pain:
"Thanks… you cracked my back for me!"
The Lord roared:
"Lucifer's Fireball!"
A colossal sphere of infernal flames shot toward Yagami.
Yagami flung a magical blade at blinding speed.
The fireball split in two; the blade continued onward and cleaved the great hall doors clean in half.
When the doors crashed to the ground, the tremor was felt even on the surface.
Both raised their swords and bellowed:
Yagami: "Black Slash! Magic Sever!"
Thousand-To Lord: "Triple Strike! Black Diamond!"
The clash of blades shook the world.
After several seconds… Yagami's sword shattered.
Blood poured from his mouth; the ground beneath him cracked and he collapsed.
The Lord stepped forward, looming over him:
"So that was a hundred percent?
I actually thought, after a thousand years, a worthy opponent had finally appeared."
Yagami lay half-conscious, vision blurring… only able to hear the mocking voice.
Then… a gentle, familiar voice echoed in his mind:
"Yagami… promise me you'll never give up.
Even if you fall a thousand times, get up and fight.
Until you win… that's my only wish after I'm gone.
