POV Charlie
A week has passed since Alastor and Julius had their massive battle. I got a call from an unknown number and when I answered, the woman on the other end introduced herself as Carmilla Carmine. An Overlord and weapons dealer who also happened to be Julius's girlfriend.
She told me that Julius was safe and sound at her compound and gave me the address to her place, letting me know that I and the others could come visit him since he seemed to be in a coma.
The moment the phone call ended, I dragged the others along with me to Carmilla's compound. We were escorted to Carmilla's office where Julius was.
The moment the elevator to her office opened, I ran out. Intending to give Julius the biggest hug I could give! But I stopped as I saw he was laying in a massive bed that was next to a desk near the glass walls.
As Carmilla had said, Julius seemed to be in a coma. He looked as if he was sleeping soundly under the massive red blankets that lay over him.
Me and the others stayed at the office with Carmilla and her two daughters. I did my best to not get jealous of their talks about how good of a boyfriend Julius was and how much they hung out with him when they were studying some special staff he had.
I had been talking with Clara and Odette about my dreams of ending the exterminations with my hotel and redeeming sinners when Angel called for us.
Everyone turned to see Julius on the bed. His body shook a bit before an intense aura surged from him. Causing all of us to cover our eyes as we were slowly being pushed back.
After the aura died down, I looked towards Julius. A shiver ran down my spine as I saw his eyes. Unlike the dazzling blue I was used to, an intense yellow with two sets of rings in his irises replaced them.
I heard Carmilla growl a bit when she looked at his eyes. Before I could question why she was acting like that, Julius's eyes returned to normal. He blinked a couple of times before looking at all of us. We held our breaths as he slowly got out of bed.
I felt a deep blush appear on my face as I saw Julius in nothing but his boxers. Calm down, Charlie! You're taken and now isn't the time to think about naughty things!
Julius snapped his fingers and his usual clothes appeared on him. Before any of us could ask how he was, Julius motioned his hand towards himself. All of us were suddenly flung towards him. We were all smushed against him as he gave everyone a gigantic hug.
"I'm sorry for worrying all of you. I promise to do my absolute best to ensure this doesn't happen again."
POV Carmilla
Relief ran through my tense body. I was glad that Julius was awake again and doing better but I couldn't help but worry still.
After all, that woman's eyes appeared in his again. The aura Julius displayed felt oddly similar to the vibe I got from her at the Overlord meeting. Makima must have done something to him while he was in a coma!
"Julius, how are you feeling? I know-." Before I could finish talking to Julius, a "Ding!" rang out. Signaling that the elevator doors were opening. I looked to see who was entering my office and couldn't help but growl out in frustration.
That woman Makima showed up. Hands behind her back as if nothing around her could affect her.
The princess, Charlie, along with the others, were confused by Makima's entrance. Judging by their reaction, they must have never seen this woman before.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of this unannounced visit, Makima?" I said with open hostility.
Makima calmly responded to the hostility in my voice. "Sorry to drop by unannounced, but I figured it would be ok to visit my boyfriend. Given that he has now awakened from his coma."
Boyfriend? Boyfriend!? Since when has this bitch became my man's girlfriend!?
"It's alright, Carmilla." Julius said as he placed a hand on my shoulder, trying to reassure me before whispering into my ear. "Theres nothing she can do to harm you or the others. I made sure of that."
That's not what I am worried about, you idiot!
I turned to look at Charlie and noticed her reaction was different from mine. I figured she would show a bit of jealousy. After all, that is what she has been trying her best to hide from me and my daughters since she stayed in my office.
She seemed more cautious and on edge rather than jealous. Weird, but understandable. I truly do believe Makima is a dangerous individual.
Julius released us from his grasp and every slowly backed away as Makima made her way to him. She walked right up to Julius and they began to kiss, causing everyone to feel uncomfortable.
"I'm just here to make sure he is doing ok." Makima said after she finished kissing Julius and turned to all of us. She looked at everyone, causing them to shiver before settling her gaze on Charlie.
"Hello, Princess Charlie Morningstar. I am Makima, The Control Devil. Though it would make sense to call me a Demon instead of a Devil now. Pleasure to make your official acquaintance." Makima said as she reached her hand out.
Charlie gave a nervous chuckle as she shook hands with Makima. "Pleasures all mine, I guess."
Makima simply nodded as she turned her attention back to Julius. "Now that I know you are awake and fine, remember what I told you and take it seriously. You have a lot of potential. Don't waste it. I have some business to attend to so I will see you later. Love you."
Makima blew Julius a kiss before disappearing. I noticed everyone in the room was visibly relaxed when she left.
"Julius." I began, "Why don't you go with everyone back to the hotel? Spend some time with them and rest before we continue our experiments, ok?"
"Hahaha, ok sweetheart!" Julius gently kissed my forehead before he started walking towards the elevator.
"Please save your questions for when we are back at the hotel! My head kind of hurts right now." Julius said as everyone except my daughters began following him.
I gently placed a hand on Charlie's shoulder. "Hang on, can you please stay back for a minute? We need to talk."
POV Charlie
What to do. What to do...
I was too distracted to enjoy the ride back to the hotel in Julius carriage. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the luxury the carriage had to offer. Mostly because instead of being a tightly cramped carriage ride, we were at a somewhat spacious beach.
Julius and the others were having a water fight as Vaggie and I sat side by side on a beach towel. Enjoying our drinks on a bright, sunny day. Not going to lie, this feels way better than the usual atmosphere in hell!
"Charlie, about what Carmilla said-."
"I know, I know." I said before Vaggie could finish her sentence. Carmilla had warned me about the woman named Makima. About how dangerous she is and how she might be controlling Julius somehow. I sighed again as I layed my head in Vaggie's lap.
"I believe Carmilla when she says Makima is dangerous. When I saw her, I felt something off about her. She felt similar to the other Sins but more, fundamentally different? I would have to ask my dad to know for sure."
"That's not what I was talking about." Vaggie said.
"Huh? What do you mean then?"
"I'm talking about her suggesting you get with Julius."
I could feel a blush appearing on my face buried it in Vaggie's lap. Oh yeah, Carmilla suggested that didn't she?
"I don't want to talk about that. I'm already dating you and it wouldn't be right or feel right to be with him."
"Even if I'm ok with it?"
I couldn't help but be shocked that Vaggie, who I know doesn't like men, imply that she would be ok with me being with Julius.
"You can't be serious, right?"
"You are already stressed out over trying to prove your hotel works, especially with the extermination being shortened to a couple months from now. It pains me to see you hurting the way that you did the entire week Julius was in a coma as well. I just figured, if it will help you feel better, getting with Julius would help you feel better. As long as it makes you happy, I guess I would be ok with it."
I looked up to see Vaggie smiling. It seems she thinks I wouldn't notice the sadness in her eyes. I sat up and gave her a long, gentle kiss before hugging her tightly.
"No! I won't let a little crush get between my love for you! I care about how you feel as well, you know? I won't be so selfish as to hurt you over a teeny, tiny crush."
Vaggie gave out a small chuckle before hugging me back. "It's a lot bigger than a small crush, sweetheart."
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
Me and Vaggie went back and forth a bit before laughing at each other. We spent a couple of minutes cuddling before she spoke up again.
"Are you sure-."
"Yes, I'm sure."
"You won't even consider-."
"No, I won't."
"Not even a little-."
"Vaggie." I said, trying to be firm but not sounding too harsh. "The only way I'll even consider getting with Julius is if you also get with him. And knowing you that will never happen."
"And if it did?"
"If you are thinking of forcing yourself to be with him for my sake, I'll be angry at you."
"I'm just saying, what if I did get with Julius? Would you be with him then?"
A deep sigh escaped my mouth at her stubbornness. If she's willing to be this stubborn about it, then I might as well throw it back in her face a bit and suggest something that will surely never happen!
"How about this? If you end up developing true, honest feelings for Julius and want to be with him, then I will agree. I will repeat myself. True, honest feelings. No faking your feelings. No forcing them either. If you really develop those for him, then I will agree to be with him ALONG with you. How does that sound?"
Vaggie laughed hard before we kissed again. "Thank you, Charlie. For considering my feelings."
"Of course! It wouldn't be right of me-."
"I'll go along with it."
Huh?
"On the rare chance that I somehow develop real, honest feelings for Julius, I will date him along with you. Whether it's just two or Julius included with us it'll be fine either way, right?" Vaggie said with a small, playful smirk on her face.
No, wait. Really!? There is no way she actually agreed to my suggestion, right?
*CLAP CLAP CLAP*
We turned to see Julius clapping his hands. He was out of the water and fully dressed already.
"Alright, everyone! We arrived at the hotel! I'm glad to be back by the way. As promised, once we get inside, I will answer any and all questions you may have!"
