Chapter 1
And just like that it was black. It felt like I was in water but I didn't feel wet. I tried to move my arm to prop myself up…. Wait …. 'Where is my arm? I can't feel my arms!!!' As I screamed at the top of my lungs I noticed that no sound was being made. As I calmed down a little I realized that I couldn't see, feel, hear, smell, or taste anything.
I didn't know what to do so I did the insane thing to do, I started to count. Every second, every hour, every day, every month, and every year. Ok I'm going to be honest I messed up a few times so it might not have been that long.
But as I was getting used to the void I felt something for the first time in a while. PAIN, and lots of it. I felt like someone was pouring lava into to my blood stream. Like someone was pulling and ripping me in half from my finger tips to my toes. It was the worst pain I ever felt. That's not even the worst part, it didn't stop it went on for i don't know how long but it felt like years.
Then it stopped and the black that I have grown accustomed to was now bright. And within that bright was…
"A light? Wait, I can speak again. Let's fucking go i can feel legs and my arms."
As Tone looked down at himself he realized He didn't Have arms or legs, he didn't even have a body. He was just a ball of blue and yellow light.
"What the hell is going on?" Tone said
" Oh, you're finally here."
Tone looked around to see who said that only to find no one.
"Sir, I'm the one talking to you."
Tone then looked at the light only to feel that it was smiling at him.
"You are the one talking to me?"
"That's right." the light said.
"Am I dead?"
"That would be correct. You died from a car flying through a window of the restaurant you were at."
"Oh… man that's so lame. Are my friends ok?"
"No. Sadly they died too, but they will be reincarnated into this world too."
"Reincarnated?" Tone said clearly confused.
"Yes, you and your friends are reincarnated into a world of magic like the books you read in your old world. Each of you is being sent there by different gods."
'Different gods? So there's not only one god that rules over everything?'
"So what god are you?" Tone asked, curious about the answer.
"That is something I can't tell you as I would be breaking a law that all the gods have set."
'Yea, there is no way in hell I'm trusting you.' tone thought
"What I can do for you is I can let you pick an Element to be attuned to." as the light says this a stone slab came into being out of nowhere.
"Oh my it seems you're the last one to pick. There is only one left to pick."
As the light said this Tone had a feeling that it was smiling from ear to ear.
"The fuck you mean there's only one left to pick. I already don't fucking trust you and you pull something like this!!" Tone said, the anger of the whole situation and all the pain he had to endure had come to the surface.
"Ha ha," the light laughed, "I was wondering when you were going to drop that fake attitude."
"This is not funny. What happened, why is this the only one element left and why is it darkness?!" Tone said, looking at the only word on the slab that was lit up with clear distrust.
"Because you are the last one to be reincarnated. Everybody else already took the other ones. Plus you had so much regret from your past life that it took forever for you to get here." the god stated.
'I see.' Tone thought 'because I had so much regret is why I was in the darkness for so long.'
"Yup, when you were counting that was your will to live." the gods said.
"You can read my mind?!!" Tone screamed
"Yeah, anyway we don't have the time to keep talking, take the element and go." As the god said that the only light on the slab disappeared. "Ok now go live your new life however you want to."
"Wait you can't just do th…."
After Tone disappeared A black light appeared.
"So he is the one that got my element" the black light said with a tone that sounds like someone bored with the world.
"Yup, you got you a good one that might make people stop disliking you." The god said.
"Only time will tell," the black said.
