Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Death_2

Sadly no matter what he did his father still died due to grief and he was left alone. The only thing he knew to do was to continue his job of providing funeral services, and so he used it to keep himself busy and forget his loneliness.

3 years passed by and he had buried a lot of people he knew so much that the remaining were people he didn't usually associate with. Making the village to become dull and lose its warmth.

On the day he buried his father next to his mother, he sat next to his grave and silently stared at it. He got an epiphany "Death is fair, in it's eyes everyone is equal".

An Ming was now 22years old, and he felt like there was nothing here in the village left for him and so he planned to go on a journey after a week. So he went and settled any unfinished businesseshe had, bid farewell to those he knew, collected all his belongings and the money he had saved into a bag and left the village.

The forest was quite and surprisingly there was no sound of birds, crickets or even any animal you would find in a forest. An Ming was unsettled since this was the first time he was going on a journey. He still wanted to see new things and experience what the world had to offer.

The first night in the forest, he spent on top of a tree branch. This was a trick he picked up from an uncle in his village known for spending nights in the forest when ever it gets late while hunting and would decide to sleep on a brunch rather than return to the village in the dark and fall prey to the wild animals.

As soon as An Ming ate and closed his eyes he heard growling and the sound of dryed leafs being stepped on. He quickly looked down and was horrified at what he saw.

3 huge hyenas were looking at him from the bottom of the tree, while frothing. They started jumping and trying to climb the tree while making the tree shake. The only thing An Ming could do was hang on the branch for dear life.

The hyenas didn't look like they were gonna give up, instead they were more frantic. Head butting the tree.
