Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The Mischievous Eyes

At a small dining table, Ye Qiu and Xiao Wu sat facing each other.

After handing her a washed carrot, Ye Qiu buried his head in his own bowl of white porridge, mixed with his stored pickled vegetables—a unique flavor.

Xiao Wu was also munching on her own carrot, enjoying its crunchy texture.

Holding a carrot in one hand and resting her chin on the other, she asked, "Hey, Ye Qiu, my martial soul is the Soft Bone Charming Rabbit. What's yours?"

"Sharingan!" Ye Qiu answered crisply without even looking up.

"Sharingan? What kind of martial soul is that? Let me see!" This silly rabbit, fresh out of the spirit beast world, was bursting with curiosity about new things. She

somersaulted over to Ye Qiu, leaning against the table.

She brought her head close to his face, scrutinizing him intently. "Is it related to eyes?"

Smelling the carrot aroma, Ye Qiu clenched his fist. He was somewhat exasperated with this boundless rabbit; he couldn't beat her in a fight right now.

"Look, this is the Sharingan!" Ye Qiu pointed to his eyes, a blood-red hue appearing as a tomoe slowly rotated.

Xiao Wu stared into his eyes, stunned for a moment, then her rabbit ears twitched, muttering to herself, "So beautiful."

"Hey! What are you doing?" Ye Qiu gently nudged Xiao Wu's shoulder, but there was no reaction.

Xiao Wu seemed bewitched, staring intently into his eyes, her face flushed with infatuation.

Seeing her face getting closer and closer, Ye Qiu had no choice but to slap her.

"Ah! Ye Qiu, why did you hit me?" Xiao Wu covered her face, looking at him evasively.

"If I hadn't hit you, you would have been practically glued to my face, you perverted rabbit!"

"I...I'm not a perverted rabbit! Don't call me that!" Xiao Wu was furious.

"You still say you're not? You were just trying to take advantage of me!" Ye Qiu took a few steps back, creating a safe distance between them.

"You're talking nonsense!" She didn't know why she had suddenly lost control, but she thought Ye Qiu had become much more handsome.

Touching her flushed face, she stomped her foot in embarrassment and raised her little fist at Ye Qiu. "Anyway, you can't call me that, or I'll teach you a lesson!"

"Whatever, I'm going to wash the dishes." Ye Qiu waved his hand. A good man doesn't fight with a woman, mainly because he didn't want to get beaten up.

"Hmph! You're smart!" Xiao Wu snorted twice, and then took a bite of the carrot in her hand.

Seeing that Ye Qiu was ignoring her, she went to the door to tease the little white rabbit in the cage.

'What happened to her just now? Was she under a spell?'

Ye Qiu was also a little curious about what had happened. He hadn't made any moves, but Xiao Wu's rabbit had suddenly become abnormal.

"Looks like I can try again later." Looking at her eyes reflected in the water, and then glancing at Xiao Wu outside, he muttered to himself.

  ...

In the blink of an eye, more than half a month had passed, and the two had gotten along quite well. The silly rabbit had become much more obedient from being unruly at the beginning.

During this time, Ye Qiu also focused on improving his physical fitness and enhancing his mental and soul power through meditation.

Although his Sharingan hadn't changed much, through Xiao Wu's perception, he knew his current soul power was level 4. Ye Qiu speculated that reaching the three-tomoe state of the Sharingan meant having innate full soul power.

As for the higher-level Mangekyou Sharingan, he had no clue yet.

That morning, Ye Qiu, as usual, removed the rabbit that was pressing down on him.

He didn't do his morning exercise; instead, he prepared carrots and waited for Xiao Wu at the dining table.

"Ye Qiu, good morning!" After a while, Xiao Wu's clear voice rang in his ears, a little embarrassed.

"Good morning, come and eat breakfast!" Ye Qiu's expression was normal.

"Mm!" Avoiding his gaze, she nodded slightly.

Watching Xiao Wu, who had transformed from a playful rabbit into an ostrich-like figure, burying her head in her carrot, Ye Qiu couldn't help but facepalm. This was his fault.

After numerous experiments, he was certain that his Sharingan seemed to have a slightly wicked quality.

When they made eye contact, it seemed to possess a fatal attraction for the opposite sex, and Xiao Wu, as the test subject, would always lose her composure, blushing and her heart racing.

Yesterday, before Ye Qiu could stop her, she even managed to grab him and nibble at him several times, resulting in this docile rabbit.

As for whether this effect would increase with the evolution of the Sharingan, and whether it was short-term or long-term, those questions remained to be verified.

Seeing Xiao Wu's loss of her usual energy, Ye Qiu felt he should say something. "There's no need to dwell on yesterday's events; it was just an accident."

As he spoke, he casually ladled her a bowl of porridge.

"I understand," Xiao Wu replied, taking the porridge. She raised her flushed face, her brows furrowed, seemingly unhappy and pouting. "Sister Xiao Wu didn't take that to heart!"

"That's for the best!" Ye Qiu breathed a sigh of relief, but Xiao Wu still refused to get up.

*Slap!* She slammed the rice bowl down on the table and yelled at Ye Qiu, "Where's the food? Humph!"

"I'm full. I don't want to talk to you!" With that, she left the stone house, carrying the rabbit cage by the door, leaving Ye Qiu somewhat bewildered.

"She was fine just now." Ye Qiu scratched his head, wondering what was wrong with this silly rabbit.

Looking at the carrots that were usually completely gone, he realized there was still half left, and Ye Qiu knew she wasn't full.

He didn't chase after her, but silently tidied up. Ye Qiu was already used to her tantrums; she was always the one who lost her temper first and took the initiative to make up.

Xiao Wu had temporarily run away from home, and there was no one to practice combat with him.

Ye Qiu could only finish his scheduled training first, and then sit cross-legged on the bed to meditate. After all, the martial soul was fundamental; reaching the three-tomoe jade state as soon as possible would make subsequent cultivation much faster.

  "Ah! My little white rabbit!"

Another morning, seeing the rabbit fur scattered in the cage, Xiao Wu cried out in surprise, and the carrot in her hand no longer tasted good.

"Ye Qiu! Where's my Little White?"

"Look, in the pot!" Ye Qiu pointed to the small stove under the eaves.

"What!?" Xiao Wu shouted, "Ye Qiu! You've gone too far! Rabbits are so cute, why did you eat them!"

"We're going to Notting City tomorrow, and no one will take care of it here. It's inconvenient to take it on the road, so we might as well get rid of it!"

Ye Qiu squatted in front of the fire, responding calmly, and added another piece of firewood to the stove.

Xiao Wu's eyes were filled with tears, and she lunged at Ye Qiu with bared teeth. "Ah~ Ye Qiu, I'm going to kill you!"

"Hey, you're so mean." Ye Qiu struggled fiercely as Xiao Wu pinned him to the ground and scratched him.

  'There's no other way.'

Helplessly, Ye Qiu had to activate his martial soul, his eyes turning blood red, captivating and mesmerizing, and he moved close to Xiao Wu. The moment

their eyes met, Xiao Wu's crimson eyes glazed over.

She stopped moving, feeling Ye Qiu's breath, and her face slowly turned red, whether from anger or not, it was hard to tell.

"I don't want to talk to you anymore!" She got up, kicked Ye Qiu, and ran back into the house.

"Phew~" Ye Qiu exhaled a breath of stale air, inwardly marveling at the usefulness of these eyes, while also managing a wry smile.

'The Sharingan is also known as the Eye of the Mind, and I don't have any filthy thoughts!'
