They reached the lion territory by midday. Word of Nyx's return had spread quickly. Kira met them in the main compound.
"The other kings are already here. They want immediate report on the trial."
"Tell them we'll meet them in two hours." Raziel replied.
"They said immediately…"
"Two hours." Raziel's tone left no room for argument. "Nyx needs to clean up, eat, and rest. They need to wait."
"My king… what happened in serpent territory?" Kira asked sensing the tension between them.
"Everything." Nyx replied.
Kira's eyes narrowed.
"Means…?"
"It means we'll explain at the council meeting. For now, please make sure we're not disturbed, and send the healers to my chambers. Nyx needs to be checked over."
"I'm fine though."
"You're exhausted, injured, and have been through days of psychological warfare. You're getting checked by healers whether you like it or not."
