Chapter Ten:
Hazel's Pov-
I was shocked when he blocked me and kept coming towards me. I kept retreating until my back hit a wall. Classic.
He trapped me in between his arms. Chocolate and honey flooded my nostrils making me sigh in content inwardly. This was just the mate bond and I wasn't going to let it control me. I was about to elbow him and give him a head butt when Flora spoke.
"Please wait. Just give me some minutes. We've never been this close to him. Just let me enjoy this please." She begged. I sighed inwardly and looked him in the eye when he suddenly grabbed my chin. Staring at his face up close made me realize how handsome he was.
He suddenly buried his face in my neck earning a moan from me. My eyes wide red when I felt his tongue slide on my neck. I moaned louder.
This stupid mate bond. His tongue was doing wonders. I rested my head on the wall and yanked his head deeper into my neck with his hair. I felt his hand on my skin squeezing lightly. I gasped as sparks erupted front here and spread round my body making mw shiver. His chest was pressed on mine. I was practically sandwiched between him and the wall. I kept moaning and burying my face in his neck too.
My mother yelling "run Hazel!" flashed back in my mind and I yanked his hair backwards and kneed him hard. He groaned and I used the chance to run. I kept running when he suddenly came at my front again. I really needed to improve my sprint. At this rate, I'm as slow as kids and I'll get killed.
I paused and decided to fight. I started throwing kicks and punches. He was defending and attacking at the same time. I was taking lots of hits and Flora was refusing to help me.
"Flora please. I gave you time with him didn't I?" I knew one more hit from him and if fall. I wasn't bleeding but everywhere hurt. I don't know how he was doing it. "Fine, she said. But promise we'll see him again." I scoffed inwardly and made sure she wasn't seeing my thoughts. "I promise." I felt strength and was about to hit him back when he suddenly started sprinting.
Was he that afraid of me? Wow. I shook my head and continued my sprint when someone blocked my view. Oh not again! How did he even get back?
I looked up and saw….. "Lucien?!!!" I yelled blinking to make sure it wasn't my eyes deceiving me. When I saw the figure nod. I quickly ran and jumped on him. He caught me and spun me. He then dropped me on my feet. I still held on to him so he doesn't disappear. I sniffled. He laughed and rubbed my back in a soothing manner.
"But.. but how? I thought you were dead? I cried sooo much. I'm so happy you're alive." I kept sniffling.
He chuckled. "Thank you. I missed you too. I've been trying to look for you all the years but I had to do it in secret. And I didn't have enough power and influence to search for you well up until last year when I got the beta position of this pack."
My mouth hung open as I disconnected the hug. "You're this packs beta?!" I yelled mad. How could he do something like this? He nodded and exhaled.
"Well I'll explain later but we don't have much time. I have to help you escape. I just managed to buy you a little time. I promise I'm not betraying our pack and everyone. Just trust me please bean."
He smiled and so did I at the last word of his sentence. Bean. That's what he called me when we were little.
"Okay fine. Just tell me how to get outta here." He nodded and took my hand dragging me. I followed him through a lot of paths. He finally stopped near a wall. He tapped some parts of the wall and it shifted. He smiled and hugged me again.
"Okay Bean, this is where we'll have to say our goodbyes. Stay safe, I'll find you and explain everything. I promise." I smiled and hugged him before releasing him.
"Okay. Take care. And you better remember your promise or I'll hang you." He chuckled and saluted. "Just head straight down, you'll see a door and that'll lead you to the forest. You'll have to find your way from there. But here; he says as he hands me a paper which while opening I see it's a map. So follow here and head to this church. You'll be able to stay there for a while while I think of something."
I nod and am about to run when I turn back and kiss his cheek taking him by surprise. I wink and run down the passage way. I hear the wall closing back behind me but I don't stop running.
"Well, you've finally done it. Good luck with the rest of your trip." Flora says and raises her own mind wall blocking me out. I sigh. Okay, just to get to the forest.
At least the goddess made herself useful for once.
