So it was the d- day for Bokie and Rin the house. They made up their minds to leave at dawn. Bokie suggested Rin write a letter for her mother but Rin refused. 'Ugh , you are so boring. Lemme do it for you', Bokie grunted. Bokie began writing the letter. Rin realized he was grinning from ear to ear and it made her suspicious. 'What in the world is he writing?' , Rin wondered. 'Let me see what what you are writing' , Rin said. Bokie glared at her, ' No and a big one. I told you to write it and you did not. Anyway, I am not done'. Rin gave up. 'Fine' , Rin muttered under her breath. After some time , Rin heard Bokie say , ' Finally, I am done'. Rin just stared silently at Bokie as he stared at the letter like an accomplishment. 'So, can I read now? ', Rin mumbled. Bokie gave Rin the paper and said , 'Don't say I'm harsh. I know how naive you can be'. As Rin read the letter , her eyes lit up in shock. 'How can you be so mean?', Rin asked. She read some part out loud to Bokie ,'You love to look at yourself in the mirror everyday . But if the mirror had legs , it would fly away in seconds because of how ugly you look. If beauty were a blessing, you would be heavily cursed' . Rin gave Bokie a what in the world look. But after sometime Rin gave him a thumbs up and clapped for him. 'You really know how to write. I'm proud of you' . After packing her stuff , Rin nudged Bokie , 'I'm done. I don't really have anything. Only my dad's books and some clothes which are tattered'. Rin did not forget to take the letter from the Alchemist's Guild and the membership card from the hole she dug. After they had delivered the letter , they left.
They wandered in the forest for three days. They were both exhausted and hungry. 'We need to get to the nearest town. We could find work and earn some money' , Rin droned. Bokie just nodded affirmatively. He was too tired to talk and he was relieved that there were no magical beasts specifically demonic beasts in the forest. Otherwise, they would have been dead by now. Their prayers were answered as they realized they were out of the forest. Bokie sighed in relief. They noticed a group of people lined up in front of an enormous gate. 'Hey , I think we have reached a town but the guards in front are collecting something from the people' , Bokie sighed out a sentence. Rin nodded, ' And it is obvious we don't have that thing. But we don't know if we could go in unless we try'. Rin and Bokie joined the line. They received stares from the rest of the people which made the situation awkward. Now it was their turn. The name of the town came to view ' River Jade Kingdom'. 'It is not a town but a kingdom' , Rin whispered in Bokie's ear. They both sighed. The guards looked at them expecting something from them. 'Don't waste my time. Where is your pass?' , one guard questioned. 'Pass?' , Rin asked back making her looking foolish as ever. 'I am sorry , but we don't have one', Rin said smiling sheepishly. 'Then move along. No pass, no entry. Next!' , the guard literally sacked them. Bokie and Rin were too ashamed to do anything. 'Why do you need a pass to enter a place?' , Rin grunted .
Bokie and Rin had found a place to sit after making a few attempts trying to enter River Jade. It was almost night time. They decide to make the last attempt. They were not ready to give up now but they were exhausted. They walked up to the guards. Immediately the guards saw them , they gave a look that said 'you again' . 'What do you want this time?' , one guard queried. 'Don't tell me your mother is already in there and she mistakenly left me outside' , another guard said. 'No or your parents are nobles that go ambushed and you are the only one left that survived' , he continued. Rin scratched the back of her neck in embarrassment . 'Actually , I I misplaced my pass' , Rin said calmly. 'I am not accepting that response. Bye bye and good night!' , a guard with a bald head said and waved. It was late and the guards moved inside and closed the enormous gate right in their faces. 'We have to find a way inside a t all costs' , Bokie said . He knew what would happen if they stay out like that. 'Can you climb a wall?' , Bokie asked . 'There is no way I am doing that. I can't because I am scared of heights. The wall is so tall' , Rin rumbled . It was obvious Bokie was not listening to her. 'After thinking for some time, Bokie said ,' Stay put' . Rin was puzzled . what was he going to do.
Before Rin could react , she found herself shrouded in qi . She was shocked. How was she doing it? She was levitating higher and higher above the ground. She closed her eyes in fear since she was scared of heights and allowed her body to do whatever it was going to do. She opened her eyes when she heard a loud thud. She was on the other side of the wall. She did it . If she could scream , she would have done it. But she did not want to alert the guard. The next moment, Bokie flew towards her. Rin opened her eyes wide in shock 'You can fly', was all that came out of her mouth . 'Yes silly, I can fly . What do you think my wings are for' , Bokie hissed. 'I thought they were useless' , Rin said happily. 'Useless my foot' , Bokie snorted . Rin enjoyed it when Bokie was angry. 'Before I forget , what was that I did? Am I that powerful to levitate myself ' , Rin said in glee. 'You did not do anything, I did . Your cultivation is useless not my wings' , Bokie snorted. 'Woah , you can use qi' , Rin said surprised . Bokie just facepalmed himself. 'Where did I meet this dummy ? I am a magical beast. A top tier one' , Bokie breathed out. He shook his head and urged her to move . They had done it. Now they just needed a place to rest their heads.
