Chapter 20 - Chapter Nineteen: Destroying the Death

Instantly, the blaster cannons mounted on the front and sides of the speeder bikes erupted in a continuous, dazzling barrage of light!

Blue energy beams rained down like a storm on the Death Watch camp, aiming directly at the four most threatening mounted machine guns!

The trajectories of the high-speed moving shots were erratic and deadly; beams like glowing snakes lashed fiercely at the iron box cover, kicking up large amounts of smoke and debris; they struck metal walls, exploding in blinding sparks, and some accurately shot towards the machine gun positions, forcing the Death Watch machine gunners, who had just reacted, to duck for cover.

"Damn it! It's the New Mandalore pigs! All units, engage the enemy!" A Death Watch officer's roar was drowned out by the shriek of blaster bolts and the roar of engines, and the camp instantly erupted into chaos!

Previously lax patrols scrambled to cover, and mounted machine gunners frantically tried to adjust their heavy muzzles, aiming at the surging steel tide.

Da da da da—!

The Death Watch's blaster rifles and pistols finally began to roar, and the mounted machine guns spewed red blaster bolts, attempting to weave a net of intercepting fire; the red energy beams licked like a venomous snake's tongue at the front and flanks of the charging force.

However, the New Mandalorians were too fast! Their charging formation was not a dense wall, but a flexibly dispersed yet unified pack of wolves; the bikers twisted their bodies wildly at full speed, performing dazzling evasive maneuvers, sometimes leaning close to the ground to slide past obstacles, other times leaping sharply over low walls.

blaster bolts whistled past them, leaving scorched craters in the ground, or exploding uselessly in the air behind them.

"Rocket launcher! That machine gun position on the left!" Bart yelled to his comrade beside him while evading a volley of red beams.

A Mandalorian warrior flew up directly, the missile from his jetpack locked onto the target through his visor, and shot straight towards a machine gun position on the front left that was firing wildly.

Boom!

The rocket, trailing white smoke, hit precisely! The violent explosion instantly engulfed the machine gun and its operator, sending flames and debris soaring into the sky!

"Well done!" Kurt's voice was approving as his bike cut like a razor into the open ground in front of the camp's main gate, his blaster continuously firing, accurately picking off Death Watch soldiers peeking out from behind cover.

Just as Kurt led the New Mandalorians into the Death Watch camp, a Clan Chief who had remained in the camp was reporting to Tor Vizsla, "Clan Chief Tor, the New Mandalorians have already captured our last stronghold in Sundari.

The main force sent to kill Satine Kryze has lost contact; I believe the Sundari offensive has failed."

"I will send more people to take our capital, Keldabe; a novice but capable bounty hunter will kill Satine.

Abandon Sundari for now; I will teach those New Mandalorians and those who claim to be the true Mandalorians a profound lesson." Tor Vizsla had already planned for the future, intending to seize control of the capital while the New Mandalorians restored civilian life in Sundari.

"Understood, Clan Chief Tor." The Clan Chief abandoned his subordinates and, taking advantage of the fierce fighting outside, escaped directly through a tunnel.

Outside, a Death Watch member attempting to aim a rocket launcher at Kurt had just shouldered the launcher when two precise yellow blaster bolts from Kurt struck him in the chest; he screamed and fell.

"Charge in! Crush them!" Lysa, in the back seat, was not idle; he drew his pistol, his arm wrapped around Kurt's shoulder, calmly shooting at enemies peeking out from the windows of the side buildings; each of his shots was accompanied by the silencing of a window's firepower.

The steel torrent finally slammed into the outer perimeter of the Death Watch camp! The leading motorcycles did not slow down at all, directly smashing through the fragile barbed wire and some sandbags!

Using this thunderous impact, the riders, at the moment of crashing into the camp, leaped from their high-speed motorcycles into the air!

Their jetpacks instantly ignited, providing a short but powerful thrust, sending them leaping into the air like fleas, while various weapons in their hands—blasters, flamethrowers, concussion grenades—rained down upon the panicked Death Watch below!

Ground combat instantly became a heated battle!

Having lost their speed advantage but gained overwhelming numerical superiority and individual combat prowess, the New Mandalorian warriors were like tigers among sheep.

blaster bolts crisscrossed in the confined space, metal clashes, explosions, roars, and the screams of the dying intertwined.

The moment Kurt landed, he rolled, dodging a burst of fire, his Westar-35 an extension of his limb; each precise shot was accompanied by a figure falling.

He was cold, efficient, like the most precise killing machine, while Lysa shadowed him, guarding his flank, eliminating approaching enemies with his pistol.

Although caught off guard and in an absolute numerical disadvantage, the Death Watch's inherent ferocity was ignited; they stubbornly resisted using the camp's complex terrain, their crimson armor flickering in and out of the explosion's firelight, blaster bolts wildly shooting at every moving Mandalorian figure.

A Death Watch squad leader, roaring, charged at Kurt, swinging a vibro-sword, attempting a final desperate struggle.

"Commander!" Lysa exclaimed.

Kurt's eyes sharpened; he did not retreat but advanced, and the moment the opponent's sword swung down, he suddenly sidestepped, simultaneously drawing the beskar sword from his back, and with a swift motion, cut off the opponent's head.

Bang!

With a dull thud, the Death Watch squad leader's movements ceased abruptly; the headless body swayed and fell heavily to the ground.

This thunderous strike completely shattered the remaining Death Watch's will to resist; seeing their comrades fall like harvested wheat around them, seeing Kurt, standing like a War God in the center of the camp, his armor splattered with enemy blood, the surviving Death Watch soldiers began to break; some threw down their weapons and surrendered, while others desperately tried to flee deeper into the camp.

"Clear out the remaining enemies!" Kurt's cold voice echoed through the camp, declaring the complete annihilation of this Death Watch stronghold; he stood amidst the burning ruins and scattered corpses, his gaze under his helmet sweeping across the battlefield, confirming victory.

Over ninety New Mandalorian warriors, like efficient scavengers, began the final destructive assault on remaining resistance points and facilities; explosions erupted one after another, proclaiming the complete end of Death Watch's rule in this area.

"Everyone, set up an ambush.

When those Death Watch return, wipe them out completely and restore peace to Sundari." Kurt gave the order, telling his people to hide behind the ruins and wait for the Death Watch fleeing from the main battlefield.

At the main battlefield, all Death Watch fighters had been shot down by the wraith fighter squadron, though three wraith fighters also crashed and needed major repairs; however, they planned to repair and take all the Death Watch fighters as well.

Qui-Gon led his people, chasing the Death Watch from behind, while technical personnel prepared to restore their own communications.
