"Master, I'll leave the command center to you for now. I'll take my men and continue to pursue the Death Watch," Omen said to Qui-Gon as he dismounted from his Viking fighter.
"Restoring communications is the most important thing. We must find Kote," Qui-Gon ordered.
Technical personnel urgently worked to restore communications and tried to contact Kote and Satine's group.
Five surviving Wraith fighters closely followed the Death Watch, attacking them. However, the Death Watch, all trained in jetpack maneuvers, easily evaded these attacks. But each time the Viking missiles struck, several individuals were injured, falling from the sky and being captured.
"Finally, I see the camp!"
A Death Watch member at the very front saw the camp, but quickly realized something was wrong. Smoke was rising from the camp's original location, and no one responded to their messages. Clearly, there was a problem.
"Stop, the camp has been attacked!" she shouted.
"Emergency Protocol Three!" shouted the man, who was currently the highest-ranking Death Watch commander among the survivors.
Of course, it wasn't just the Death Watch who discovered the camp; Kote and his group within the camp also spotted them. Jetpacks soared upwards, immediately initiating aerial combat. The remaining thirty to forty Death Watch members, realizing the situation was dire, enacted their contingency plan and began to scatter, but it wasn't so simple.
The Viking transformed into mech mode and began strafing the Death Watch in the sky.
"Omen, use the Viking's broadcast to tell them the Death Watch is defeated. Tell them to surrender," Kote's voice transmitted to Omen's Viking.
"I knew you were fine, boss, hahahaha!" Omen never worried that Kote would encounter any mishaps; after all, he was his boss!
A loud voice boomed from Omen's Viking, audible to everyone nearby: "Cease fire, comrades! The Death Watch is defeated. Give up your resistance. We are all Mandalorians; why must we kill each other?"
"Switch your weapons to stun mode," Kote ordered over the internal communication channel.
At this point, the New Mandalorians' blasters all switched to stun mode. The Death Watch clearly noticed this and heard the signal Omen transmitted.
After a moment of deep thought, the Death Watch commander lowered his weapon. "We surrender," he said, then landed directly on the ground. Seeing their commander surrender, these remaining soldiers also surrendered, landing on the ground and placing their weapons down.
Immediately, other squad members swarmed forward to collect the weapons, while some squads rode their speeder bikes directly to the command center, calling for a Kom'rk-class fighter/transport to escort the Death Watch back.
Kote found the opposing commander. The moment he saw his armor, he knew who he was: his long-deceased father's fourth brother, Murloc Vizsla.
"Should I call you Fourth Uncle, or something else?" Kote removed his helmet, revealing his face for the other man to see clearly.
Murloc was startled. "Nephew, you're really not dead! This is all Tor Vizsla's persecution! He instigated the attack on Sundari and sent clans loyal to your father's faction to their deaths, all so that the Vizsla clan and the Death Watch could become his personal domain!"
"Why didn't you say any of this after my father died? After he died, when I was nine, you expelled me from the family and left me to fend for myself. All of you are the same," Kote had long seen through them; his "father's faction" was just a group of opportunists.
"The assault on Sundari was mainly led by Clan Rook, but most of those fighting to the death below were pacifists, nephew. The Vizsla clan should be under your control. You should be the owner of the Darksaber. You possess the Force, just like our ancestor Tarre Vizsla," Murloc said to Kote.
"I will reclaim the Darksaber, but not for you. It will be for all Mandalorians, for an era of peace," Kote said, then left directly.
"You are just like your father, nephew! I will pledge my loyalty to you and find you other allies!" Murloc shouted to Kote's retreating back.
Meanwhile, Satine and Obi-Wan, who had left Mandalore, had now arrived on another planet in the Mandalore sector. As soon as they disembarked, the two cloaked figures saw Satine's holographic bounty poster.
"They work fast, don't they?" Obi-Wan quipped.
"Because you're not the one with the bounty on your head," Satine said, tightening her cloak and kicking Obi-Wan, wary of others seeing her.
"Let's find a place to rest first, then send them a message to see how things are in Sundari." Obi-Wan also tightened his cloak, mimicking Satine. The two then found an inn to stay in and went to a bar to gather information.
"Did you know, Clan Vizsla's leader is planning to attack Keldabe soon?" a Mandalorian said to the person next to him while drinking.
"Aren't they busy fighting in Sundari? Why are they going to the capital now?" another asked.
"Hey, inside info! My uncle is a well-known figure within the Death Watch, *hiccup*! He said Sundari made a strategic retreat, *hiccup*!" the heavily-drinking Mandalorian slurred.
"Uncle's word isn't always reliable," the other Mandalorian waved his hand and changed the subject.
Obi-Wan, sitting in another corner, heard everything clearly. He then told Satine about it.
"Could it be true?" Obi-Wan asked.
"It should be roughly correct. Sundari is safe, but the people in the capital are in danger."
"For now, we'll observe the situation here, but this message still needs to be sent to Kote and the others," Obi-Wan mused.
Just then, a blue-skinned Duros, looking like he stepped right out of a Western, walked in. A small droid flew around behind him. He sat at the bar, looking around. "Bartender, a Mandalorian special, please."
Obi-Wan observed the Duros, a typical bounty hunter. "Let's go. Staying too long makes us vulnerable, after all, who doesn't know what Duchess Satine looks like?"
Satine nodded, and the two left the bar, returning to the inn to send a message to Sundari. By this time, communications had already been repaired, informing everyone to be wary of the Death Watch attacking the capital.
Kote, who was repairing the command center, looked at the incoming message, troubled. His current forces could only defend Sundari; people in other regions were not under his command, and not everyone supported pacifism. He needed more support, and perhaps he really did have to seek out his Fourth Uncle.
Arriving at the prison, Kote immediately ordered his Fourth Uncle, Murloc Vizsla, to be brought out.
"Nephew, do you need Fourth Uncle's help so soon? Is Tor Vizsla trying to attack the capital, and you're short on manpower now?" Murloc seemed to already know about this and spoke directly.
"It seems Tor Vizsla had already mentioned this. So, you can begin to atone for your past actions."
"Hahaha, all these Death Watch members in prison can be used by me. They are all my subordinates, but they all have underlying issues, so we need internal support from the Death Watch. Because Tor Vizsla assassinated Big Brother and old Duke Kryze, there are always some who are not very satisfied with him. So, winning them over will be enough. But this all comes at a price: after this, you must personally kill Tor Vizsla and obtain the Darksaber." Murloc had already started thinking about these things while in prison. Although he was mediocre in combat, he was quick-witted.
