Thankfully, Ian didn't seem to have any internal wounds. Still, the doctor took quite a long time talking to him alone. By the time the 'interview' was over, Ian had the doctor's number, as well as the number of the doctor's therapist friend.
The doctor left--without Ashley--just as Mr. Edwards came with his team. This time, there was also a woman with a tight updo and a fierce expression that screamed she belonged in the courtroom.
"Did you come straight away?" Eugene greeted them apologetically. "I'm sorry for making you work on the weekend."
"Oh, don't worry. It reflects on their bill," Ashley winked and patted the chuckling Mr. Edwards playfully. "Let's hear the brief."
While the children were taking a nap, Mr. Edwards started to explain what essentially was the summary of what happened last night. He also informed Eugene that he had sent one of his associates to help Ivan with the investigation.
"So, all we can do is wait?" Eugene concluded.
