"B-bodyguard?" Ian widened his eyes when Eugene told him about it after they tucked Hannah in for her nap.
"Yes, what do you think?" Eugene asked carefully. "Sophie wants to send her bodyguard over, just until everything settles."
Ian raised his brows in surprise. "Your friend...has a bodyguard?"
"Yeah, I also only found out today," Eugene grinned, glad it wasn't a lie. "So, what do you think?"
Ian darted his eyes around Hannah's room, unconsciously fiddling with one of the plushie's paws near him. "B-but, if she sends her bodyguard...what about her?"
"She has more than one," Eugene shrugged.
Ian blinked, once again wondering what kind of people his son was actually involved with. The son of someone powerful enough to influence Jacob's superior, someone who had several bodyguards and wedding venues...
Was this good karma for his son, who didn't grow up in a good environment?
