"February 14 is a bit cliché, don't you think?" Eugene tilted his head doubtfully when Arthur mentioned the date over the phone call that afternoon.
"If we're going to push it as far as February, why don't we just have a spring wedding, then? Geez!" Sophie grumbled.
[I don't want it too! I was throwing out ideas from Grandpa and Shirley, okay?!]
"Oh, from the sponsor? My bad..."
Sophie giggled teasingly, and Arthur closed the call with a sulky 'humph' to return to his work. Eugene chuckled for a second before falling into a deep thought.
"But, like...you know we hit January in three weeks, don't you?" he looked at Sophie.
"Yeah, but it's the only possible month at this point," Sophie shrugged. "We don't want your wedding to overlap with Arthur's birthday, anyway. January is right in the middle, and we can still have a winter wonderland."
Eugene chewed the inside of his cheek, suddenly feeling guilty about pushing things without any certainty before. "Is it possible?"
