The female beastmen in front of Fiora stared at her as if she had just said something utterly absurd.
Fiora didn't give up. She patiently explained her intention to barter again, including the details of what she was offering and what she hoped to receive.
An elephant female beastman seemed intrigued.
"I don't mind," she said slowly. "As long as the exchange is fair. My child and my mate actually prefer berries over meat."
Fiora's eyes lit up.
Finally, someone willing to talk like a reasonable person.
Before they could continue, the female goose beastman, now back on her feet, cut in sharply.
"Everything that belongs to the leader should be distributed equally to all tribe members. What's the point of bartering? If we want berries later, we can just ask the leader to hand them out from his cave."
Fiora narrowed her eyes at the shameless declaration.
Yet, instead of disagreeing, the other female beastmen nodded in agreement.
