Morning came.
I barely slept. My mind was going crazy, tossing and turning, worrying and wondering. Today was the day.
The day April Delos Reyes came back.
I dressed up quickly, and went downstairs, Horoscope was sitting right there near my seat in the dining table. I glared at him and started eating.
"Do you know April?" he asked me, I was blank. My mind stopped working. Huh? Crazy Jayjay! Wake up! He stared at me like I did a crime. Why, Aries?
"W-What?" I stammered, fork halfway to my mouth. "April? That girl from Section E?"
Aries smirked, rotating his spoon in his coffee like he knew something I didn't. "So you have heard of her."
I narrowed my eyes. "Of course I have. The whole class won't stop talking about her."
He leaned forward "...You've been trying so hard to fit in with those boys, and now the one person they actually care about is coming back."
My grip tightened on the fork.
"She'll either be your best friend, or your mortal enemy."

I watched him walk out, bag slung over one shoulder. I ate my toast, and took my cycle.
I reached school, the words 'HIGHER VALUE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL' clearly visible on the main building. As I entered Section E building, there they were. Ci-N, Felix, Yuri and Keifer. All laughing and talking about something. What's so funny to laugh about, huh?
I went near him, and Ci-N noticed me. He gave me a wide smile, "Hi, Jayjay!"
"Hi!" I told to him, in a happy tone.
Yuri's POV:
She is coming back. I was not able to sleep. I'm pretty sure it's the same with the others. But, after 1 year. What am I supposed to say to her? Hey, April...? Or... Why did you leave me broken?
She owes me a lot of explanation. I need answers for my questions. No matter what it takes, I will get her explanation. And make sure she knows what I feel.

The words echoed in my chest like a secret too heavy to carry.
I watched Jayjay laugh at something Ci-N said, her hands gesturing wildly. She fit in. But the truth? no one could replace April. Not really.
The bell rang, sharp and clear.
And just as we turned toward the door...
A loud voice cut through the air
"TSS! Y'all looking like you came out of bed 1 minute ago!"
My head snapped up.
There she stood.
Backpack slung over one shoulder, hair let free and that same damn smirk I hadn't seen in a year.
April.
The world seemed to stop for a moment. The boys. Every single one of them, froze. Just like that. Like the world has stopped time.
Then chaos blasted.
"APRIL!" Ci-N screamed, sprinting toward her like she was a long-lost sister.
She barely had time to brace herself before he swept her into a bear hug, lifting her off the ground. "You're alive! I thought you went to Pluto for your Science-blah-blah research"
April laughed, hitting his arm weakly. "Put me down, Rakki's Admirer!"
Ci-N blushed, she really knows everyone's weakness, doesn't she?
But she was smiling. Brighter than I'd ever seen anyone smile.
And then… Slow and quiet. She stopped right in front of me. No words. Just looked at me like she was looking at her favourite food.
April's smile widened. "...Yuri."
She pulled him into a side-hug and started yapping "I missed you! Why has your hair grown 1.58379 cms long! Are Yoichi and Keiren together? Why are you taller than before while I am still perfectly same?!"
I smiled, ACTUALLY smiled widely after a long time. "Yes, I missed you too, and my hair grows in one year, EXCUSE ME! Yoichi and Keiren... hm... yes. (April gasps and looks at Keifer) I am taller than you, I'm also stronger!"
"Stronger? hmph!" She poked me in my arm "Still the same ol'"
"Try to test it, shorty." I teased her, my normal personality is back!
"Shorty? I'm like... 3 cms shorter than you!" she said, keeping her hands near my head and measured it above her head. April snorted and gave me a knowing look "SEE! I'M 170 AND YOU'RE 173! 5'7 and 5'8!"
"Still a difference~" I said, smirking at her.
"NO! Wait.. I'm older than you BY 3 MONTHS AND 17 DAYS! ME ON SEPTEMBER 14TH, AND YOU ON DECEMBER 31ST!" she whined.
But before I could say anything else, the bell rang. Loud and shaky. The moment broken, reality coming back before our eyes.
"Class is about to start," I said, reluctantly taking a step back. "We should go to—"
"Wait."
Her small hand caught mine. It might've been my imagination, but her grip tightened just a little.
"Let's go to second floor! To music room!" she exclaimed.
"Okay.." I hesitated but my heart acted before my mind could. We both went upstairs, the air cool against our skin. I looked at her, her face really didn't change. She was as sweet as a chocolate, a sugary chocolate, her eyes were a melted brown that glowed in the sunlight, her hair was as curly as it could get and it looked beautiful when untamed, her voice was sweeter than a hummingbird. We sat on the bench, and she started "So... how mad are you? on a range of 1-10."
Mad? Nah.. more like, broken. The days I waited for her, staring at her desk and hearing her playlist that she made named 'ApRi!'
"I'd say.. 0" I said, my voice slightly wobbly.
She flinched. Actually flinched, she turned to me from the floor which she was staring like it was the most interesting thing in the whole wide world. I looked at her, trying to read her face. She was obviously nervous. I don't want to make her nervous. But... when will I be able to tell out my true emotions?
