Chapter 7 - Chapter 7:The Old Clock Tower

Bright and Clair made their way to the old clock tower, their hearts racing with anticipation. They had decided to leave early, to scope out the area and make sure it wasn't a trap.

As they approached the clock tower, Bright's eyes scanned the surroundings. The area was deserted, the only sound the distant hum of the city.

"Stay close," Bright whispered to Clair, his eyes scanning the shadows.

Clair nodded, her eyes serious. Together, they crept towards the clock tower, their senses on high alert.

As they reached the entrance, Bright's eyes locked onto a figure standing in the shadows. It was Sophia.

"Welcome, Bright," she said, her voice low. "I've been waiting for you."

Bright's eyes narrowed, his hand on Clair's arm, holding her back. "What do you want, Sophia?" he asked, his voice firm.

Sophia smiled, her eyes glinning with amusement. "I want to help you, Bright," she said. "I want to help you bring Melach down."

Bright's eyes locked onto hers, his mind racing with questions. Could he trust her?

"Sophia, what are you talking about?" Clair asked, her voice firm.

Sophia's eyes locked onto Clair's, her expression serious. "I'm talking about the truth, Clair," she said. "I'm talking about the truth about Melach and Victor."

Bright's heart skipped a beat. What did Sophia know?

"Sophia, what do you know?" Bright asked, his voice low.

Sophia's eyes locked onto Bright's, her expression serious. "I know that Victor is not what he seems," she said. "I know that he's working with Melach, and that he's using you to get to him."

Bright's eyes widened in shock. Could it be true?

"Why are you telling us this, Sophia?" Clair asked, her voice suspicious.

Sophia's eyes locked onto Clair's, her expression serious. "Because I want to stop them," she said. "I want to stop Melach and Victor, and I need your help to do it."

Bright's mind was racing. Could he trust Sophia? Or was this just a trap?

As he stood there, weighing his options, Bright's eyes locked onto Sophia's. He saw something there, something that made him believe her.

"Sophia, what do you want us to do?" Bright asked, his voice firm.

Sophia's eyes locked onto Bright's, a small smile playing on her lips. "I want you to come with me," she said. "I want to show you something."

Bright's heart skipped a beat. What was Sophia planning?

"Where are we going?" Clair asked, her voice low.

Sophia's eyes locked onto Clair's, her expression serious. "We're going to the Phoenix Organization's headquarters," she said. "We're going to get the evidence we need to bring Melach and Victor down."

Bright's eyes widened in shock. The Phoenix Organization's headquarters? Was Sophia crazy?

But as he looked into Sophia's eyes, he saw something there, something that made him believe her.

"Okay, let's do it," Bright said, his voice firm.

Clair's eyes locked onto Bright's, her expression serious. "Are you sure about this, Bright?" she asked.

Bright nodded, his eyes locked onto Sophia's. "I'm sure," he said.

Together, the three of them set off towards the Phoenix Organization's headquarters, their hearts racing with anticipation.

As they walked, Sophia filled them in on the plan. They would sneak into the headquarters, gather the evidence they needed, and get out before anyone knew they were there.

It sounded simple, but Bright knew it wouldn't be easy. The Phoenix Organization was notorious for its security, and they would be walking into a hornet's nest.

But Bright was ready. He was ready to take on Melach and Victor, and he was ready to do whatever it took to bring them down.

As they approached the headquarters, Bright's eyes scanned the surroundings. The building was heavily guarded, with security cameras and men stationed at every entrance.

"This is going to be tough," Clair whispered, her eyes scanning the guards.

Bright nodded, his eyes locked onto Sophia's. "Do you have a plan?" he asked.

Sophia smiled, her eyes glinning with amusement. "I have a plan," she said.

And with that, she led them towards the entrance, her eyes locked onto the guards.

Bright's heart was racing, his senses on high alert. They were walking into the lion's den, and he knew it wouldn't be easy.

But he was ready. He was ready to take on whatever came their way.

As they reached the entrance, Sophia nodded to the guards, who stepped aside, allowing them to pass.

Bright's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. How did Sophia know the guards?

But he didn't have time to think about it. Sophia was leading them deeper into the headquarters, towards the heart of the organization.

They moved quickly, avoiding the guards and security cameras. Bright's heart was pounding in his chest, his senses on high alert.

They reached a door, and Sophia stopped, her eyes locked onto Bright's.

"This is it," she said, her voice low. "This is where we get the evidence we need."

Bright nodded, his eyes locked onto the door. He was ready.

Together, they pushed open the door and stepped inside, their eyes scanning the room.

And that's when they saw him. Victor, sitting behind a desk, a smile spreading across his face.

"Welcome, Bright," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "I've been waiting for you."

Bright's eyes locked onto Victor's, his heart racing with anger. He knew he had walked into a trap.

"What are you doing here, Sophia?" Victor asked, his voice cold.

Sophia smiled, her eyes glinning with amusement. "I'm doing what I should have done a long time ago, Victor," she said. "I'm stopping you."

Victor's eyes narrowed, his expression darkening. "You're making a big mistake, Sophia," he said.

Sophia smiled, her eyes locked onto Victor's. "I don't think so," she said.

And with that, she pulled out a gun, and everything went black.

Bright's eyes flickered open, his head pounding with pain. He was lying on the floor, his hands and feet bound.

"What...what happened?" he asked, his voice weak.

Clair's voice came from beside him, her voice shaking. "Sophia betrayed us, Bright," she said. "She's working with Victor."

Bright's eyes widened in shock. Sophia had betrayed them? But why?

As he looked around, he saw Victor standing over him, a smile spreading across his face.

"Welcome to the show, Bright," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "You're just in time to see the final act."

Bright's eyes locked onto Victor's, his heart racing with anger. He knew he had to get out of there, and fast.

But how?
