The violent friction ripped Shin out of unconsciousness.
His face was forcibly scraped across the hard red ground, carving a gully several kilometers long.
This was no metaphor.
He was being literally ground into the earth.

Loren slammed him into the ground, creating a massive crater.
Only then did he release his grip.
Loren walked to the edge of the pit, looking down at Shin—now barely recognizable, barely breathing.
"Now," Loren said calmly, "can you stop acting tough and speak properly?"
At the bottom of the crater, Supreme Kai Shin lay like a broken corpse.
Kibito scrambled over in panic.
The moment he saw Shin's condition, his legs gave out.
He dropped to his knees and began kowtowing frantically.
"My Lord! Please—please spare Lord Supreme Kai!"
Loren glanced at him.
"It seems you still have opinions?"
Kibito froze.
"N-No! I wouldn't dare! Never!"
"It's just that—Supreme Kai governs the safety of the universe! If something happens to him—"
"Oh?"
Loren sneered.
"So if I touch him, the universe collapses?"
"Is that what you're saying?"
"No! No! That's not what I meant!" Kibito waved his hands in terror.
Loren's patience ran out.
"I don't like people who talk in circles."
He took one step.
Instantly, he was in front of Kibito.
A casual backhand followed.
SLAP—!!!
Kibito spun violently through the air, rotating twice before smashing headfirst into another mountain.
Only his legs remained visible, twitching weakly.
Loren shook his hand, like he'd brushed away dust.
Then he looked back into the crater.
Supreme Kai Shin had regained consciousness at some point.
He had just witnessed his attendant get swatted away like an insect.
Fear filled his eyes.
"Now," Loren said, "are you still insisting on your so-called 'plan'?"
Shin trembled.
His plan had been simple—
Use the Z Fighters as bait, draw out Babidi, infiltrate his ship, and eliminate Majin Buu before revival.
In his mind, it had been perfect.
Sacrifices were acceptable—for the universe.
Now?
He realized how foolish he had been.
Shin struggled to lift his head, looking at Loren with his remaining strength.
Finally, all resistance collapsed.
"No…"
"My plan… was wrong."
"Please…"
"Stop Majin Buu's revival."
"Only you… only you can do it."
"For the sake of the universe… I beg you."
The Supreme Kai of the universe was pleading.
"Oh."
"Majin Buu, huh?"
Loren sounded indifferent.
"And what does that have to do with me?"
Shin froze.
He had prepared endless explanations about Buu's terror.
None of them mattered.
At that moment, the system spoke again.
[Ding! Major cosmic event detected — Majin Buu revival imminent!]
