Ren's fiery red hair caught the warm, orange glow of the hallway lights as he carried Roxy up the wide wooden staircase.
The charming fox moved smoothly and confidently. He didn't have his Beastworld magic anymore, but he didn't need it. His natural, magnetic energy and his bright purple eyes were completely hypnotic all on their own. He held Roxy securely against his chest, walking right through the heavy double doors of the massive master bedroom.
The giant stone fireplace was already crackling, filling the huge room with a warm, golden light and the comforting smell of woodsmoke.
Ren walked over to the giant, cloud-like bed and gently laid her down right in the absolute center of the soft blankets. He leaned over her, brushing a dark curl away from her face. His purple eyes were totally dark with heavy, undeniable desire, but he surprised her by taking a slow step back.
