Elias didn't want to disturb Granny anymore as she was building lies upon lies.
So he went to his room quietly and sat on his bed.
His eyes were filled with tears and his voice trembled with heartbreak.
His fists were shaking as he was fighting for control.
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK !!!
The clock was ticking and his heart was syncing with every tick.
It was around night at 10 pm.
He heard sounds coming from the kitchen, a sound with a lot of sadness filled with it.
Granny was also crying in the kitchen corner. No one would have thought that it would end up like this.
A house that used to be much charming had now become a house filled with sorrow.
Elias knew that he was the reason behind Granny's tears. If he hadn't asked any questions, then everything would be fine.
But Elias refused to give up as he was the one being haunted by the dream and not his Granny.
All Elias wanted was only answers. So he thought of going to the sealed room.
Granny's room was separated into two sectios. Before Elias's parent's mysterious death, they used to live in their own room.
But after their death, Granny sealed their room for unknown reasons and warned Elias not to enter that room.
Elias had seen Granny entering that room multiple times but he was not allowed.
The room had a big key which Granny used to keep it with herself.
So Elias had zero options before. But currently he was planning something .
Time was 10.30 pm and Granny usually sleeps at 11 pm sharp.
But instead of waiting, he went straight away towards that room.
Granny noticed him walking towards the sealed room and rushed towards him.
Suddenly Elias noticed a strong wind coming towards him.
The windows shattered. It was nearly felt like a storm.
BLAH!
Granny was suddenly in front of him preventing Elias from entering that room.
She was blocking him physically and also she was guarding the truth with her entire life.
Elias was surprised by seeing everything.
Elias cried, "Why are you preventing me?"
"I'm protecting you !" , Granny replied.
Elias continued, "Stop lying to me. I'm not a child."
Granny warned him not to enter that room.
But Elias continued speaking, "Why are you hiding everything from me? I saw something and I know it was not normal...The pills also failed"
But still Granny didn't allow him.
SLAP!!!
Elias' cheeks became red. Granny after a long had slapped him.
Elias shouted, "Don't ever talk to me" and ran back to his room crying.
He went without a plan and it ended without a victory. They only got more emotional.
He sat on his bed. The silence became heavy and the house felt much smaller.
He thinks that her grandmother had betrayed him.
He mind was full of frustration, suspicion, anger, loneliness and fear.
But one line went inside his mind, "If she won't give me the key, I'll take it".
So he waited for 11 pm for Granny to fall asleep.
TING!
11 pm and he waited for 15 more minutes and started his plan.
He entered Granny's room successfully and started searching for the key.
He didn't leave anything....He searched all the cup boards, shelves and bed with pin drop silence and yet found no result.
While he was searching hard, he heard a clinging sound.
Under Granny's pillow was a bunch of keys. Elias had already seen the key. But the problem was that every key looked the same and was identical.
There were nearly ten keys in it. So, Elias took all those keys in pure silence.
After 40 minutes of struggling, he finally opened the door and the seal was broken.
He slowly walked in step by step. The smell was so strong he couldn't describe it.
There were shadows stretching across the walls and Elias was a little bit scared.
It felt like a thief entering a holy temple to Elias as it was a forbidden place.
There were medicinal bottles filled with the pills that Elias used to take.
Everything was mysterious to him.
On the table, there was a Holy Bible which his mother used to read and tell stories to him.
The lights were dim and he saw his family photo hanging on the wall.
Elias gets a nostalgic feeling by seeing all these.
Then he began his search.
He searched everything including the wooden drawer, cupboard, waste cloths and small boxes.
The sounds became very loud, his breath shortened and his palm began to sweat.
Then in one of the boxes, he found a cloth-wrapped object.
He unwrapped it and it looked like a Diary.
Elias was very curious as he had never seen anything like this before.
He tried to open that but it didn't open. There was a key hole in it.
Elias didn't understand anything. It could be unlocked only with the help of a key.
Elias thought for a minute and inserted the room's key inside the diary's key hole.
And it automatically opened and a dark shadow began to show.
He heard a woman's whisper, "Elias" and he also felt a flash of a woman crying.
He experienced a glimpse of darkness as he read the first line of the book, "This must be a painful, desperate dance between two people who love each other but are separated by a deadly secret".
Elias couldn't understand the meaning of that line.
His body felt cold and chill.
BANG!!
Elias breath stopped as Granny opened the door.
This diary gave a signal to Granny when it was opened.
A small dark creature tried to come out of the diary but Granny closed it.
Granny said to Elias, "You went this far, didn't you? Forget about everything and never think of entering into this room once again...If you disobey and enter , then you will see my corpse only!"
Elias cried and went to sleep. He decided not to try anything stupid and to obey his grandmother's words.
But Elias didn't forget anything that happened back there and he won't forget.
He still had a thought in his mind desperately saying, "I'm going to find the truth, even if it kills us both".
