Deep within the Cave of Eternity, the ancient torches flickered weakly.
The old Wizard the last surviving guardian of the Seven Deadly Sins leaned heavily on his staff. His breathing was heavy, his strength fading fast.
Sivana had escaped.
The Seven Sins were free.
The balance of the world was collapsing.
He didn't have much time.
The Wizard lifted the Staff of Eternity with trembling hands.
"I… must find him," he whispered, voice cracking.
"A champion… before the world falls to darkness."
He closed his eyes, pressing his palm over the glowing orb at the top of the staff.
Ancient magic surged.
The runes on the cave walls lit up one by one —
symbols of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, Mercury.
A powerful ripple of magic exploded outward.
FWOOM—
It spread across the Earth like a wave of golden light, unseen by human eyes, felt only by souls worthy of it.
The Wizard's voice echoed:
"Show me the pure of heart…
the brave of spirit…
the strong of will…"
A massive spell—his last spell—unrolled across the multiverse-connected Earth.
The Wizard trembled.
The spell was stripping his remaining magic away.
His vision dimmed.
He saw Sivana in a vision — eyes glowing with the Sins, a storm of destruction following him.
"No… I cannot let him destroy everything…"
The spell tried harder.
It searched deeper.
And then—
The Wizard gasped.
A golden light burst in his mind.
And image a boy who stood before thugs to protect a girl without fear.
A boy who protected the weak.
A boy with courage and strongest will .
A boy who would rewrite fate.
A powerful, soul that he never seen before .
A name appea in the Wizard's mind.
ARIN AETHER
The Wizard's eyes widened.
"Ah… yes…"
His cracked lips slowly curled into a smile — the first in centuries.
"This soul… this heart… this resolve… He is… PERFECT."
A tear slipped down his cheek.
"Arin Aether…
You will be… my champion."
With the last of his strength, the Wizard whispered:
"Let the magic… find him."
---
At That Exact Moment…
In the school cafeteria, Arin suddenly felt something.
A faint tremor.
For a split second, he heard a voice:
"Champion…"
Arin froze.
He blinked.
The sensation vanished as quickly as it came.
Gwen looked at him. "Arin? You okay?"
MJ leaned closer. "You spaced out."
Hearing this Arin felt warm in his heart and said " Nothing I was thinking about something
Hearing this both didn't say anything and continue eating the lunch.
Arin quickly finish his lunch and step outside the cafeteria to get some air.
The growing impulse in his chest hadn't faded.
He leaned against a brick column in the courtyard, eyes narrowing slightly.
"What was that…?"
The world around him looked the same — students laughing, teachers chatting , everything look normal
But Arin felt different.
A whisper echoed again in his mind:
"Champion…"
He stiffened.
"Who are you?" he whispered.
The voice answered:
"Come."
Suddenly—
BOOM.
Lightning flashed across the clear blue sky.
But no one reacted.
No one even looked up.
Only Arin saw it — a golden bolt tearing reality like paper.
His breath caught as the lightning spiraled down toward him—
FWOOOOSH—
A magical force wrapped around his body, warm and cold at the same time.
He tried stepping back—
but his feet wouldn't move.
"Damn—"
Before he could finish, the lightning engulfed him completely.
SHAAAAAAK—
The world blurred.
The courtyard vanished.
And in a heartbeat—
Arin landed on solid stone.
A cold wind brushed his skin.
He slowly opened his eyes.
Huge pillars of black stone surrounded him.
Floating torches cast blue flames.
Seven towering statues loomed in the darkness— monstrous, demonic shapes with hollow eyes.
The Seven Deadly Sins.
Arin's jaw tightened.
"…The Cave of Eternity."
He had watched this in a movie.
Now he was standing inside it.
At the center, leaning on an ancient staff, stood an old man in a hooded robe.
His beard reached his chest.
His eyes glowed faintly with fading golden light.
The Wizard.
Arin's breath stopped for a moment.
The Wizard looked up slowly.
His face softened.
"You came."
Arin swallowed, standing tall but wary.
"You summoned me."
"Yes," the Wizard rasped.
"I chose you."
Arin look shocked and said quickly "…Why me?"
The Wizard straightened with difficulty.
"I searched the world… for a soul strong enough to wield my power. A heart brave enough to face darkness. A will unbreakable even in despair."
He raised a trembling hand.
"And I found… you."
Golden light flickered in Arin's chest, responding.
The Wizard continued:
"You have the most powerful soul I ever seen …
the courage of a protector…
and the strength of a warrior."
Arin frowned slightly.
"You don't know me."
The Wizard smiled faintly.
"I know you."
Arin fell silent.
The Wizard extended his staff toward him.
"You feel it, do you not?"
"The call."
"The magic."
"The power of the gods."
Arin's heartbeat echoed in his ears.
Yes.
He felt it.
The overwhelmed power contain in the staff.
But he kept his voice steady.
"…Why now?"
The Wizard's expression darkened.
"Because the Seven Sins… are free."
Arin's eyes hardened.
"what!
Seein his reaction Wizard said slowly.
"A man named sivana has taken their power. He grows stronger every second and wanted to use power cause chaos in the world and I don't have much time left ."
He stepped forward, weakness visible in every movement.
"I require a champion. Someone worthy so he can stop the seven deadly sins from destroying the world."
The glowing staff pointed at Arin.
"You, Arin Aether… have been chosen."
A bolt of golden lightning circled the staff's tip, humming with divine power.
Arin stared at it with excitement
If he accept it …
he would inherit the power of SHAZAM.
The strength of Hercules.
Wisdom of Solomon.
Stamina of Atlas.
Power of Zeus.
Courage of Achilles.
Speed of Mercury.
A power enough to face gods… and destroy them.
But why him?
Arin stepped forward slowly.
"What do you want from me?"
The Wizard's voice softened.
"To protect this world from magical invasion and stop Sivana to bring balance.
To be the lightning in the darkness."
Arin looked at the staff, heart pounding every time he look at it.
So he no longer hesitate and said "What must I do?"
The Wizard smiled — tired but relieved.
"Say my name… and become my champion."
Lightning crackled.
The cave trembled.
The air hummed with ancient magic.
Arin lifted his hand toward the staff—
And the Cave of Eternity waited
for him
to speak
one
word.
SHAZAM.
