The voice continued as footsteps approached.
"I heard you brought a female back and I wanted to-"
The words stopped abruptly and silence filled the cave. Aurora slowly turned her head and noticed the silhouette of a female standing several feet away near the entrance, clearly staring at them in shock.
The darkness kept her face and expression hidden from Aurora, but she could already imagine just what kind of expression the female might be carrying at the moment.
For a few seconds, neither Aurora nor Asher moved. It was only after the female hurriedly backed away and stepped outside the cave that Aurora finally released the breath she hadn't realized she had been holding and shifted her attention back to Asher.
The Alpha didn't appear embarrassed in the slightest. In fact, he looked annoyed. The expression on his face made it painfully obvious that he was not pleased about being interrupted.
