The room was dark and messy, empty energy drinks and junk food wraps lay across the floor and some frivolous clicking could be heard coming from a chair in one corner of the room, on that chair sat a teenage boy wearing virtual reality goggles and he had a state of the art controller in his hands that seemed to have a mind of their own as they went into a frenzy clicking random buttons.
Haru: Come on, just one more time wait what ! This boss has a third phase, crap now I've got to lock in I've come too far to lose now!
The clicking frenzy his hands were in got even worse meanwhile the game character he was controlling performed various combos, the character he controlled was a beautiful female knight who had short, scarlet hair and pale blue eyes, the skills she performed allowed her to display breathtaking agility, this was because before she became a knight she used to be an acrobat in a circus that was attacked by monsters but in the last moment she was saved by the hero's party and she joined it.
Unfortunately each member died off one by one along the journey to defeat the demon king and currently she's in the middle of the most important battle of her life, she was down to ten HP ( health points, once they reach 0 she dies) and the demon king just entered his third phase in which he summons six arms each wielding a legendary weapon and behind him an army of demons followed.
Knight: I'm down to one on health potion and I have three magic potions as well as my trump card, ok I'll use my trump card and when it looks like I'll die I'll drink the potion, this won't be easy if I get hit once it'll all be over ok here goes [TRUMP CARD: LAST DANCE]
last dance is a skill that gave her an absurd boost in power in exchange for 90% of her HP and the lower her HP the larger the boost right now she's left with 1 HP which means she's at her strongest even though one hit is all it'll take to kill her.
Despite the risk she charged at the king and began to exchange blows, their swords clashed but due to her boost the knight had the upper hand, she hit the demon king's sword to one side and then she side stepped, spun around and slashed at the side of his stomach effectively taking out a chunk of it which caused him to lose a lot of HP and thanks to the bleeding his HP kept dropping and he was temporarily stunned.
The knight used this moment to attack all his subordinates and with the use of an ultimate skill she killed them all and due to being caught up in the blast the demon king lost even more HP, the knight charged at him and attacked relentlessly whole dodging each of his attacks when her boost started wearing off, suddenly the demon lord entered his fourth phase because his current HP was a quarter of full HP
With a roar he charges at the knight and began to attack, the knight was pushed back and was forced to go on the defensive hence wasting the few remaining seconds of the boost she got from using last dance unfortunately she couldn't take the health potion and took a direct hit which killed her but luckily thanks to an item called the phoenix's feather brought her back to life.
Knight: that was too close, I forgot about the phoenix's feather, if I remember correctly it was supposed to save me from a single fatal attack and restore some of my HP, ok so now that I've gotten a second chance I'll take the potion and with all that HP I should be able to kill the demon king.
Suddenly the demon king roared and a purple aura filled the room.
Knight: that damn cheater! Why won't he just die what's this he's afflicted me with demon lord aura, wait what as long as I'm within the field of his aura I will die slowly so it's a battle of endurance, who'll die first me or him.
At this moment the knight lost all regard for her life and went wild attacking the demon king relentlessly and taking a few hits in the process, at one point she noticed that she was going to die first but just as her HP reached 1 a strange golden light covered the demon king.
Knight: this is the angel king's blessing, it causes any demonic creature to die the moment it's HP is dropped to less than 10%, this has to be luck!
The demon king was suddenly surrounded by a storm of golden feathers and he shouted as his body disappeared in golden light, meanwhile in the real world.
Haru: GET WRECKED !!! I can't believe I did it, I beat the game! Thousands of pro gamers have failed to flawlessly beat this game but I did that proves that I'm just built different ! Although I must admit that phoenix feather and angel king's blessing really saved in the end, shout out to you guys for real, heck I wouldn't have made it this far without all my friends in the guilds I need to tell everyone but first, IT'S PARTY TIME !!!
Suddenly his door burst open and a girl from the neighbor walked in carrying a fire extinguisher.
Girl: Haru! Haru! Talk to me where are you ! Don't worry I'm.... Here
Haru: Hey Mika, what's with the fire extinguisher did you think my house was on fire or something hahaha you're so dumb
Mika ( with an irritated and slightly embarrassed smile) : why else would you be shouting like that at 2 in the morning?
Haru: what if I was being attacked?
Mika: I would have used the fire extinguisher as a weapon and beat your attacker to death
Haru: wow that's scary
Mika: anyway could you tell me why you're shouting at such ungodly hours
Haru: oh I just beat the final boss of Last warrior, flawlessly. Hehe are you proud of me
Mika : let me get this straight you interrupted my beauty sleep, forced me to carry a fire extinguisher from my house and use my secret key to your apartment and break into your room embarrassing myself by trying to look heroic just because you beat some ... Game!
Haru: this isn't some game, this is last warrior no pro gamer has ever... Wait did you say you've got a secret key to my apartment?
Mika: I'm the one asking questions
Haru : ok yeah what you said was kinda true although I didn't ask you to come
Suddenly mika flashed a scary smile at him and in on move she closed the distance between them and hit him with the fire extinguisher
Haru: owww that hurt what's wrong with you, weren't you going to use that on my attackers?
Mika: well that's what you get for being an idiotic game obsessed otaku who goes around shouting at 2 in the morning maybe next time you'll remember to only shout in a real emergency, now go to sleep I don't want to hear any more noise from here otherwise your VR goggles are the next things I'll hit
Haru:you wouldn't dare
Mika: want to test that?
Haru: no ma'am
Mika: good, good night or rather good morning or whatever
Haru: yeah you too
Haru crawled into his bed and slept a few seconds later but left his VR goggles on and they displayed a single message
