Asher stopped directly in front of her.
The warm water rippled gently around them as the steam drifted lazily into the air, creating a hazy curtain that softened everything around them. Aurora lifted her head to meet his gaze, intending to ask why he had followed her here, but the words refused to come out.
Instead, she found herself momentarily distracted.
She tried... she truly did... to keep her attention on his face. Unfortunately, it proved much harder than she expected.
By now she had already realized just how little modesty beastmen seemed to possess regarding their bodies, and being surrounded by nothing except warm water certainly wasn't helping her concentration. Every time she reminded herself to maintain eye contact, her mind insisted on wandering elsewhere before she hurriedly forced it back.
