Aurora didn't need to be told twice. The Snow Lion Chief immediately summoned several dozen strong beastmen and females, while Kellen gathered the tools they would need.
Together, they headed toward a massive empty plot beside the tribe's central gathering grounds. Aurora had noticed it the previous evening - a broad stretch of relatively flat land sheltered from the strongest mountain winds by a natural rocky ridge. It received several hours of sunlight whenever the clouds parted, and because it was close to the settlement, the tribe could easily protect the crops from animals. More importantly, the soil here was dark and surprisingly rich.
"This is the place," she announced.
The work began immediately.
