Chapter 14 - 14. Meeting with the Little Lion

"Haa, what time is it?" Waking up, Katsuragi Ren sat up on the soft large bed in the villa's master bedroom.

He yawned unhurriedly and glanced at the time on the phone on the nightstand—4:30 AM.

Rubbing his eyes, he wasn't surprised about falling into a deep sleep as soon as he lay down. He got out of bed, put on his slippers, walked to the window, and pulled open the curtains that blocked the moonlight.

The sky was just beginning to brighten. A hazy mist permeated the air, making one feel peaceful and comfortable.

Looking into the distance, there were still a few streetlights emitting faint light on the streets.

Waking himself up a bit, Katsuragi Ren decided to go for a short jog. Habits formed over years of training couldn't be changed overnight.

Too lazy to tidy his somewhat messy long hair, he changed into sportswear and left the villa.

As soon as Katsuragi Ren stepped out of the villa, the slightly cool morning sea breeze hit his face, instantly waking him up quite a bit. He stretched his muscles and bones, then began to jog along the small road around the island.

The road was very quiet in the early morning. Katsuragi Ren could clearly hear his own footsteps and light breathing.

...

"Hello, Miss. A large bowl of millet porridge, three boiled eggs, and eight steamed buns, please. Thank you."

Katsuragi Ren, who had returned to the villa for a shower after running, noticed it wasn't long before class started, so he went directly to the school cafeteria to eat.

With his sweet talk and good looks, Katsuragi Ren immediately captured the heart of the lady serving food.

Not only did her hand not shake when serving, but she also acted as a steamed bun hero for once, giving Katsuragi Ren two extra buns, fearing the child wouldn't be full.

"Hello, Miss, I also..."

The student behind Katsuragi Ren, seeing that Katsuragi Ren had more food on his tray than he ordered, tried to follow suit.

But before he could finish, the serving lady interrupted him: "Who is your Miss? Don't try to act familiar. What do you want to eat?"

Under the strange gazes of the surrounding students, Katsuragi Ren expressionlessly picked up the tray handed over by the serving lady, found an empty seat, and began to eat.

"Yo, the Katsuragi Family's Dragon eats this early in the morning?"

A slightly teasing voice rang out. Rokusuke Koenji sat familiarly opposite Katsuragi Ren.

Without any politeness, he picked up a steamed bun from Katsuragi Ren's tray and started eating.

Katsuragi Ren, who had just taken a bite of his bun, rolled his eyes at Rokusuke Koenji. He took his student card out of his pocket and threw it to the other party, signaling him to order whatever he wanted and stop bothering him.

Rokusuke Koenji didn't stand on ceremony with Katsuragi Ren either. He took the card and went to the cafeteria window to order.

He had originally just come to say hello, but he didn't expect a pleasant surprise.

Only a fool wouldn't take advantage, especially when the advantage came from the Katsuragi Dragon.

Rokusuke Koenji ordered a tray full of breakfast just like Katsuragi Ren, threw Katsuragi Ren's student card back in front of him, and was just about to put a bun to his mouth.

"Isn't this the Heir of the Koenji Family who was assigned to Class D?"

While Rokusuke Koenji was getting food, Katsuragi Ren, who had already finished chewing the bun in his mouth, didn't even continue eating, just waiting for Rokusuke Koenji to return so he could say this.

Rokusuke Koenji paused slightly: "Tsk, who knows why I was assigned to Class D."

"Is it possible that you belong in Class D, the class for defectives? Little Lion."

Katsuragi Ren, with clear thoughts, was no longer in a hurry to satisfy his hunger. He picked up a boiled egg and slowly peeled it.

Seeming to vent his dissatisfaction with being assigned to Class D, Rokusuke Koenji fiercely bit off a large piece of the bun and swallowed it directly.

"Do you think that's possible? Dragon."

Without waiting for Katsuragi Ren to answer, Rokusuke Koenji threw the remaining half of the bun into his mouth, slowly chewing the sweet aftertaste unique to wheat.

"Of course not." Katsuragi Ren was rational. He also didn't understand why the Little Lion in front of him was assigned to Class D.

The Koenji Group was different from his family; the data on this Little Lion was blatantly displayed in the open.

As long as he wasn't compared to Katsuragi Ren, Rokusuke Koenji could be called a true genius.

He put the peeled egg, revealing its flawless white interior, into the Little Lion's bowl.

Katsuragi Ren looked into Rokusuke Koenji's raised eyes and chuckled: "Need help? I can transfer you to Class A or Class C."

"Why not Class B? Afraid I'll steal your thunder?"

Rokusuke Koenji didn't think Katsuragi Ren was teasing him. He stared at Katsuragi Ren's extremely serious eyes.

"If there isn't a single person in the entire grade who can be a rival, wouldn't that be too boring?"

Rokusuke Koenji fell silent. Should he say Katsuragi Ren was conceited or confident? However...

"I refuse."

The Little Lion had his own pride. Even if he really wanted to transfer classes, he would use his own methods.

"Fine, but we will meet again soon." Drinking the last mouthful of porridge, Katsuragi Ren indicated to Rokusuke Koenji before leaving that he would cooperate with him later.

This time, Rokusuke Koenji didn't refuse: "Dragon, I look forward to our next meeting."

Still too tender, Little Lion.

Walking out of the school cafeteria, Katsuragi Ren sighed inwardly.

He never expected Rokusuke Koenji to accept his idea of transferring him. What he needed to do was plant a seed in Rokusuke Koenji.

A seed named "Transfer Class."

Rokusuke Koenji's family background, which was not much different from his own, destined that this Little Lion wouldn't care about which class he was assigned to.

Even in Class D, which was hailed as defective and might have zero monthly points later, the other party could still live very well relying on "influence."

But after Katsuragi Ren said this, the other party had a temporary goal named "Transfer Class."

The unmotivated Little Lion would also begin to sharpen his claws.

The first chess player has entered the game.

...

Rokusuke Koenji put down the bun and looked gloomily in the direction Katsuragi Ren left. He had to admit, the Dragon of the Katsuragi family seemed to have seriously analyzed his personality.

This clumsy provocation method, which could be seen through at a glance, was also an open plot, and it really suited his taste.

No matter. As the only son of the Koenji Group, he intended to graduate from Class A anyway. Before, he thought about directly using the "Koenji" brand to buy 20 million points to transfer classes.

But now...

Continuing to devour the remaining food on the tray, Rokusuke Koenji's mind, which originally intended to just play around, began to change.
