Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Dungeon Walkthrough

"So how do we open the door?" Paimon asked as we approached a large stone door.

"I think… yes, that stone panel over there is responsible for opening the door." Amber said, and Lumin walked up and lightly touched the stone panel, which lit up and the door opened.

As we continued on, roots appeared in our path, preventing us from advancing. I could have cut them with ice, but Amber stepped forward and drew her bowstring, causing the arrow to ignite. She fired, hitting the roots, which burned away rather quickly.

To be honest, this dungeon was very strange. Usually, when you imagine a dungeon, it looks like stone walls, a floor, and a ceiling. Although there were stone walls and a floor here, instead of a ceiling, there was something resembling a sky.

Perhaps all the dungeons in this world are separate dimensions, accessible from different corners of the world.

After passing through more roots that Amber had set on fire, we reached the edge of a ledge where Hilichurl was visible below.

"How do we get down?" asked Paimon.

"On a glider." said Amber, ready to jump, but didn't have time, because in a few seconds an ice slide appeared in front of us, and of course they all looked at me.

"What?" I asked them, to which they didn't answer. I simply walked forward and began sliding, quickly reaching the bottom.

Hilichurl tried to attack me, but it quickly froze and crumbled into small pieces.

Soon, everyone else followed suit.

"Strange, I didn't feel the cold at all." said Jean.

"Yeah, it looks like ice, but why isn't it cold?" Amber asked, looking at me.

I blushed a little and replied.

"I didn't want you to freeze." I said.

And indeed, I did it on purpose so they wouldn't freeze their cute little bottoms, um... I mean, get sick!

"I don't want to bother you, but they don't seem to like us visiting." Lumin joked, pointing at the Hilichurls running toward us.

Jean swung her sword, cutting down one of the Hilichurls while the second charged at Amber, who dodged the attack and, in one motion, slammed a Hilichurl arrow into its head.

"Is that all? I thought there would be more?" Paimon asked, to which everyone rolled their eyes.

Climbing the stairs, Amber motioned for us to stop.

"There's another Hilichurl up ahead. I want to try blowing up the gunpowder barrels that are there too." she said, to which we nodded.

She knelt down and drew the bowstring, causing the arrow to ignite. I released the bowstring, and the arrow shot off into the distance, accurately hitting a red barrel, which instantly exploded, destroying all the Hilichurls there.

Continuing on, we came to a cliff where there was no road.

"And how do we get there?" Lumin asked, looking up at something visible.

They all looked at me, and I simply sighed and made a platform.

"We'll get there on it." I said, stepping onto the icy platform. Everyone followed, a little wary that the platform would be fragile, but they relaxed as it was harder than stone.

I've never tried manipulating ice, at least not in the sense of levitation or gravity? I don't know, but I managed to raise the platform to the required height almost immediately.

As soon as we finished climbing, I looked back and saw the girls staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Evernight, aren't you by any chance the Goddess of Ice?" asked Paimon.

I don't know why, but as soon as she asked me if I was the Goddess of Ice, I felt a shiver run through my body.

Strange... It's as if I should avoid the title of Goddess of Ice. Otherwise, something bad will happen...

"Paimon, I'm not a goddess..."

"I agree with Paimon on that. You're a mysterious girl, incredibly beautiful, with incredible power. I get the impression you're a goddess descended from the heavens." Jean said, nodding.

I couldn't help but blush at such a compliment. Is this a way to make me love you? If so, then you're doing everything right!

Amber and Lumin also nodded, confirming their arguments.

So what should I do? I'm not a goddess, I guess... It's just that somehow it doesn't feel right... In my past life, I was an atheist, but even if there were gods somewhere, people wouldn't be able to see them. And calling myself a goddess is just...too much.

Shutting my thoughts aside, I stepped off the icy platform onto the stone floor.

Climbing the stairs, we saw a rock surrounded by wind.

"Dragon's breath! This must be where power accumulates." Amber said.

"So what should we do with it?" Paimon asked.

"Let's just break it." Amber replied.

"Are you sure there won't be an explosion or something?" Lumin asked this time.

"It shouldn't. Look." Jean said, walking up to the thing and, with a swing of her sword, destroying the dragon's breath.

"I wouldn't say this dungeon was difficult." Paimon said.

"Says the one who was always behind me, the one who was always flying." I joked.

"In any case, I suggest we return to the city. We made it through the Guardian's Temple pretty quickly. Speaking of Guardians... if you're interested in learning more about them, you can read the books in the library; Lisa will tell you everything there." Amber said.

"Understood, we'll keep that in mind. Anyway, how do we get out of here?" I asked.

"I see." Jean said, walking up to the strange, glowing object and touching it.

The next second, we found ourselves back in front of the temple entrance.

"While we were wandering around the temple, I've worked up an appetite. Let's go back to the city and eat!" Paimon exclaimed, as usual.

So, we headed back to the city, but...

"Do you have to hold my hand?" I asked.

I don't know why, but on the way back, Lumin grabbed my hand and hugged it, almost giving me a nosebleed from the softness I felt.

Soon enough, Jean joined in, hugging my other hand, and she clearly felt the softness, causing my blood pressure to rise sharply.

"Yes." they answered in unison.

When did you become so close?

Shouldn't Jean be a collected person, since she's the Grand Master of the Knights' Order?

And shouldn't Lumin be concerned about her brother and his well-being?

So why are they clinging to me like koalas?

Does love really change people? And is it love at all? Maybe they mistake the wrong feelings for love...

But I'd rather not complain and just enjoy this paradise of soft breasts...
